am i the only one who saw this?

i was surfing the site today, and i noticed another closed thread. it was a "depression" thread, and as everyone is supposed to know, those get closed immediately. IMHO it only hurts the poster even more. Then i noticed that Rarit-E, maybe one of the most active mods on the forum, posted in there. He didn't close it or even consider it. it wasn't until Zephyr(ottirob) closed the thread, leaving the obvious copy/paste statements.
It made me think... DO any of the staff know the rules? if they do, do they even care? some seem to stretch the rules to their liking, or not care for certain rules made. only a few handful have seemed to enforce the rules in an appropriate manner. Things such as posting in a depression thread instead of closing is just one example. but other things such as replacement words(replacing swears) or suggestive statements, even Being lenient to other staff members have seemed to been done by the people who are supposed to be enforcing that. I don't know why i never noticed it before...

something that bugged me too is that regular users arent able to rename their own thread. I saw that Rarit-E was renaming the new gen chat thread like crazy. i felt like it was unfair cause there are a handful of threads where that type of ability could be extremely useful.
