Recently discovered that I'm a Brony....

First blog post here *deep breath*!
Anyway, this is going to be a short one. I recently discovered that I am a brony. This is how it happened. I was watching some MLP parodies on YouTube, and I clicked on a video that I mistook for another parody. Anyway, that video turned out to be MLP: FiM Season 1 Episode 1. As my mouse hovered over the "back" button, ready to click, I decided to actually try and watch an episode. I mean, hell, millions of fans my age (mid teens, not saying exact age) can't be wrong, eh? So I watched it. And let me tell you, I am so glad that the opening song doesn't play straight away, because if it did, I probably wouldn't be a brony at all! That is the only thing that I dislike about the show. The opening song. It is just too girly, and doesn't do the actual show justice.
Anyway, I'll stop waffling and get to the point. Or rather, the question. How do I tell people that I am a brony? Before you get angry and tell me to "google it", remember this. Each brony is different, and so are their situations. Anyway, here is mine. I am probably the last person that you would suspect to be a brony. I am quite masculine, I like cars, tractors, and I work as a farm hand. I come from a farming background originally, but unfortunately the farm got sold before I was born. I also have lots of experience with real horses, as I have been riding since I was 5.
Now comes the problem. Not the family, that ain't a problem. They are all very loving and open minded, bless 'em . My mates are the problem. Do I tell them or don't I? Do they REALLY need to know? To make a long story short, my mates are exactly like me, except for the brony bit! They aren't bronies, and might think that I was gay if I told them. Also, that's another thing. I am NOT gay, and I don't want people thinking I am. I'm not homophobic (my sister is a lesbian, so I was taught from a young age that there is nothing wrong in being gay), I just don't want potential girlfriends getting the wrong idea about me and being put off.

Anyway, thanks for listening everypony, and I look forward to your replies,
RP out!
