Why I Have Trouble Drawing

way back when I had a stupid idea of combining lanterns and ponies. From this idea I decided to take a dumb leap into the world of art. I drew Trixie as a red lantern, it was a horrible picture. After having some fun with my horrible picture I purchased a tablet. I got myself a copy of SAI and off I went on an adventure. I think I drew Platinum next. Still horrible but I was happy with it.

The first time I saw a big improvement on my art was when I made a mimic Lupr's Celestia picture. Keep that in mind because it becomes a thing later. After that my pictures went downhill again. They looked worse and worse in my eyes. So they I mimicked Slugbox and my Platinum picture look decent.

and now the pattern starts. After that my pictures went down hill again. I remember trying a picture with Platinum in the wind. I tried it twice and was not really happy with either drawing. After that though something chanced, I became a hell of a lot more negative towards myself, I have no clue as to why.

I then started the ask Platinum in a attempt to help. It didn't really do much until I changed her mane, but I mimicked SmittyG. Then pictures sucked again. Then I mimicked Smitty's Dash picture. The 2 that followed were not as good. They I again mimicked Smitty with the Diamond Tiara picture I did a few days ago. Any attempts after it have looked bad to me. My pictures only seem to look good if I mimic someone, anything done from my mind looks bad in comparison.

now for some more junk. I seen several people say that pony anatomy is easy to understand and if a person get grasp it they're just bad. I can't for the life of me understand it. Putting ponies in more advanced postions makes them look like hell. If I leave them is simple postions they look boring and lame.

on top of all that my confidence is like a sandcastle. Sure it gets rebuilt but the tide will also pick at it until it fall down. They repeat over and over again.
