Yup. PERSISTENCY ALWAYS WINS. I BEAT LINGERING WILL. YES I THINK I GOT LUCKY. YES I WOULD PROBABLY LOSE TO HIM AGAIN IF I TRIED ANOTHER FIGHT WITH HIM. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER. I WON. Next time: Data Organization 13?
OMG FINALLY. I completed all the Mushroom challenges and got the Winner's Proof Keyblade. Plus a Bronze crown on Sora's head that's hard to see because it's practically the same color as his hair. I'm fairly sure that I've attempted Lingering Will 20+ times now. I haven't been counting but that's what it feels like. But I continue to get to his Desperation Move that I can't seem to get the hang of. I like being persistent. See you in another two weeks. Next time: I like being persistent.
Welp... I'm struggling with the Mushroom challenges. Yes I watched the video. SEVERAL times. I can't do the same thing that is done in the video. Lingering Will is also pretty much kicking my ass. Again, I've watched the video at least twice. I can't Guard and Reflect for *squee!*. Maybe it's time to move on to Birth By Sleep Final Mix? Next time: ???
I finished up the Hades Paradox Cup and completed it. It was fairly easy except for the last 10 rounds. Particularly the fight with ALL the Final Fantasy characters at once. UGH. It was more of "survival" for me than skill. It really doesn't matter though. I found a way to win. Hades Paradox Cup Complete. After that I went ahead and beat the game so I could hopefully unlock Lingering Will. The Xemnas fights were relatively easy until the last one. But even that I toughed out and won. Sora, Riku, and Kairi return to Destiny Islands. Then... at the end... they receive a mysterious message from the King that we don't get to see (yet). I also get a weird Birth By Sleep teaser ending. Not the secret ending though. I'm not good enough for that. Next time: Lingering Will and Data Organization 13 fights. I'm starting to just not care about the Mushroom 13. Give me advice for Lingering Will instead. Please?
MARLUXIA. UNBELIEVABLY annoying. It's a good thing I did it at Level 99. Because I wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise. The Doom count was 99. I was able to restore it a little later in the fight which probably saved me. I just COULD NOT avoid or block his attacks. In the end though, I somehow won on my first try. Probably only because of being level 99. Yeah... I don't care. This guy was just ridiculous. Cavern of Remembrance. OH. MY GOD. THIS MUSIC. KINGDOM HEARTS NEEDS MORE OF THIS. I hope Kingdom Hearts 3 has stuff like this. It's just amazing. Spoiler LISTEN TO IT. LISTEN TO IT. SO... GOOD... The enemies were ridiculous but the music made up for it. Especially the Nobody part at the end. Somehow I made it through though. I'll try the Data Org. 13 fights later once I unlock them all. For now though... I'll be doing Hades Paradox Cup. Which I've already started. I've gotten through 20 rounds so far. Only annoying fight was Tifa & Yuffie in Round 10. Next time: Can I win the Hades Paradox Cup? Also... I might be beating the game so I can unlock more stuff. Or I may try more Mushroom 13 challenges. Though I'm starting to not care about those. We'll see.
So... Critical Health grinding worked. I decided to be persistent and just dealth with it. It obviously worked. Because I got Sora & co to Level 99!! Then... Spoiler Guess what? It wasn't "pretty" and I made a few mistakes... (I also had to waste an Elixir) but... I WON ON MY FIRST TRY. Take that "One-Winged Angel" Sora & co. then play "messengers" and go tell Cloud about Sephiroth. CLOUD VS SEPHIROTH TIFA ALL OF THIS SCENE. They... disappear? I get Fenrir for my troubles. Okay? Next time... I'M COMING FOR YOU NEXT MARLUXIA. FOR NAMINE!!!!!!!!!!!! Also possibly Cavern of Remembrance. Lingering Will is impossible... isn't he?
Merry Christmas all. I begin sidequesting. Grinding with critical health is not fun. I died twice doing it. But I got Sora & co. to the 84 range... so... I guess it was worth it? Eventually I got tired of it so I tried the Goddess of Fate Cup. Honestly... it wasn't that difficult. I won it at least. I then try the Paradox Cups... I bet you think I FAILED MISERABLY right? WRONG. I beat the Pain & Panic, Cerberus, and Titan Paradox Cups. All I did was use the same methods as the original cups and I won. I'm amazing I guess? However... HADES PARADOX CUP. It has a level of 99. Welp. Guess I'm screwed. *moves on* Next time: Will I ever attempt the Hades Paradox Cup? Or is it just too impossible? Give me advice if you feel generous. Either way, I'll be spending most of my time critical health grinding and if I get tired of that I may give the Marluxia Absent Silhouette a few attempts and if I fail to much on that, I may do Cavern of Remembrance.
I'm pretty much at the end of the game now. Kairi and Riku (?) are in trouble so Sora & co. rush to help them out. Eventually, Sora finds out that the Xehanort Heartless-looking person is actually Riku with convincing from Kairi. Shouldn't her calling him RIKU be good enough? Well... whatever. Then... the remainder of Organization 13 are fought. Except for Xemnas. Sort of. Luxord was annoying but I came out victorious anyway. He dies. That's what you get for "gambling" Saix was even more annoying but I'm able to come out victorious in that too. He also dies. That's what you get for going "Berserk." LUNA VS SAIX. WHO REPRESENTS THE MOON BETTER? Luna obviously. Anyway... One thing after another happens and... well... let's just say Ansem the Wise went out with a bang. However this caused Riku to return to normal. I guess that's good? I went ahead and did the first Xemnas fight too. Not much to it honestly so I end up winning. He didn't die though. Not yet anyway... This unlocked... quite a bit. Goddess of Fate Cup being the obvious thing unlocked. So... time to beat the game right? HA HA. NOPE. SIDEQUEST TIME. What I'll be doing: Getting the rest of the Puzzle Pieces I missed. Goddess of Fate Cup. Paradox Cups (I may try a few at least but if I can't do them... I may choose not to care) Cavern of Remembrance (Oh goodie... ) Marluxia Absent Silhouette Sephiroth (OH GOODIE. ) I also need to try to grind levels more. Sora & co are in the 70's thanks to Drive Form Grinding but I can't seem to do the "critical health" trick effectively. I get too worried about dying and losing all leveling progress. This probably means the worst bosses will be attempted at levels where they're even more difficult (because most of the worst bosses have a recommended level of 80 with Lingering Will a recommended level of 99) I'm the type of person that doesn't like to give up and will just keep trying until I win. If that doesn't get me anywhere however... I may have to spend the rest of my time grinding. So... yeah... that's fun... Next time: Sidequests, sidequests, and more sidequests. Did I forget to mention sidequests?
After some more synthesis grinding (which again didn't get me much) I continue TWTNW. As yes... Deep Drive. AMAZING battle theme. Then... the fight with Roxas. Looks like the commenter was right. UNBELIEVABLY annoying fight. I had to heal quite a bit. In the end though, I was able to somehow come out victorious. So... Final Form was quite tedious to get. I couldn't get it at first, so I continue the story since I can't seem to get it. Kairi manages to escape with assistance from... Namine?! Wow... okay... We're also given access to Organization 13's headquarters. CHARGE!!!!!!!!!! After some annoying Nobody fights I'm eventually lead to the boss fight with Xigbar. Also... KAIRI WITH A KEYBLADE. (this is actually important later if you know the Dream Drop Distance story. Which I do.) This fight... I would have lost if it wasn't for Second Chance and Once More. Either way, despite the ANNOYANCE that it was, I come out victorious. Xigbar dies. Good. After this, I pretty much refuse to do anything else until I get Final Form. Which I'm FINALLY able to do. Looks like I'll be doing Drive Form grinding again. Yay. Again, if I don't update that's why. Next time: Drive Form grinding to 7. There's also still another ridiculous Org. 13 boss fight to do (Luxord).
Sora & co make their way to confront the MCP. They have to fight Sark first. Which is pretty freaking easy. Even the MCP fight after that isn't too ridiculous. Tron makes it seem like he sacrificed himself, but, he didn't. Sora & co then find out that the town had another name and the world is fully restored to "Radiant Garden." Afterwards, I move on to Twilight Town. IT'S A GHOST TOWN. NO ONE AROUND. This is quickly replaced by NOBODIES EVERYWHERE. Oh goodie. The game doesn't let me take on Lexaeus so I end up going towards the mansion with a hurt Hayner, Pence & Olette. More Nobodies show up but Mickey also shows up to assist. After that Sora discovers that Mickey made a promise with Riku, which means he's fine. Well... sort of. That's later though. After exploring the mansion and fighting more Nobodies the computer room is found with an entrance to an "alternate Twilight Town" that may have a method to get into the Realm of Darkness and the Nobodies world. No Sinister Sundown... Either way Axel makes a reappearance and tries to get us to leave but Sora refuses and stays to help him against the large number of Nobodies. Eventually, Axel puts his "whole being" into an attack and begins to disintegrate. He reveals he just wanted to see Roxas. That's... not really a good reason to kidnap Kairi. Either way it looks like she's Saix's prisoner now. Wonderful. Bond of Flame is obtained and I gain access to the final world. The World That Never Was. I go back to face Lexaeus. I screwed up on my first attempt as I was trying to get a reaction command to show up but my second attempt leads to victory!! Also... I don't think the hardest bosses in this game are viable for me. Synthesis items rely too much on luck. Unless there's a way that I can do it without synthesis items, I'm screwed. If you have any ideas for me or strategies that might work for Marluxia, Sephiroth, and Lingering Will that doesn't require synthesis grinding, let me know please. I tried to to do it and got Sora & co. to the level 60 range but I was only able to get a few synthesis items and only one of them. I tried Vexen but I couldn't use Limit Form like the strategy suggested on my walkthrough. I kept getting Anti Sora Drive. But the Vexen fight was actually pretty simple so I won on my third attempt after the previous failed two attempts to get Limit Form to work properly. The Marluxia, Sephiroth and Lingering Will fights are the worst ones though. I want to try and complete them but I guess it's impossible without synthesis items? Isn't that a little ridiculous? Next time: I begin TWTNW. More ridiculous boss fights are upcoming. Including: Roxas, Xigbar, and Luxord.
I continue Pride Lands with renewed Simba. We fight the hyenas again who just run around and run away. GOD THIS WAS ANNOYING. But eventually I come out victorious. The only problem is that Simba apparently is a "scaredy-cat" and runs away. Good job. Sora & co. chase after him and do some... weird impressions to get Simba back on his feet. Paws? Whatever. The Scar Ghosts are confronted and it leads to a HUGE Heartless. This one was also a pain. However somehow I'm able to win. Everyone has their faith renewed in Simba and all is well. I guess. Then I do the final Atlantica musical. Nothing special really. Combination of everything from the past musicals. Once that's done, Atlantica is completed for good. But apparently Hollow Bastion isn't so peaceful. YUP. IT'S HERE. DEFENSE SYSTEM GOES ROUGE. The fights are more annoying than before but I make it to the computer room to help Tron while Leon & co. get a program to stop the MCP. The computer world is entered and Tron is assisted in getting it. That's about all I was able to do. Thundaga is pretty good. Next time: Eradicate the MCP. Hollow Bastion is "restored."
Sora & co chase after Jafar. Iago is reluctant to help and says he's at some ruins. So we try to go there but there's a sandstorm. Luckily, Genie gets rid of that for us. Iago acts suspiciously. I'M SURE HE'S TOTALLY NOT WORKING FOR JAFAR AGAIN OR ANYTHING. We go to the ruins on Carpet and find a strange Jafar... thing. We chase it around until we eventually have to activate three switches with magic which we do to gain access to a large tower in the ruins. That's when we learn that... FREAKING CALLED IT. IAGO LED US ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE. HOW SHOCKING. (not) We rush back to Agrabah but not before having to flee crumbling ruins. After that the Peddler confesses to us that he got fooled by Jafar. GEE. THAT'S TOTALLY SURPRISING TOO. Jafar is confronted... and... Iago takes a hit for Aladdin?! Wow... Jafar Genie is fought AGAIN. It's annoying but using the Reaction Command continuously leads to eventual victory. However... Agrabah got damaged, so, Genie has to repair it... to the same as it was. The world comes to a peaceful end. I decide to do Titan Cup after that. Abuse of the Peter Pan summon and then the Genie summon for the final round leads to my victory on the first try. So I move on to Halloween Town after that. To scattered Christmas presents being collected by Jack (Skellington). What are you doing...? He assures us he doesn't care about Christmas stuff anymore... but... he's still wearing the Santa suit... Either way their returned and we learn more have been stolen. Lock, Shock and Barrel are suspected and fought but they say the only reason they were in the Santa Factory was to get stuff for the "friend" Dr. Finkelstein was making for them. So a plan is devised to used decoy presents to lure the present thief in. This somehow works. The thief is... Dr. Finkelstein's experiment?! Okay... We have to fight it and it's kind of annoying but I win regardless. Jack gets to see what's it like delivering presents and we're reminded of the true meaning of Christmas. Yes game, I already knew that. So that is finished up. I was GOING to attempt Absent Silhouette Lexaeus after this but I lost access to Twilight Town. Which means I'm going to end up being over-leveled for this one too which may mean I'll beat it on my first try again. But I'm not counting on it. I'll do it when Twilight Town is revisited. So I do Pride Lands again. A SCAR GHOST?! Sora & co. go to report it to Simba and it's discovered that apparently Simba doesn't do much and everyone thinks he's an inept king. But Sora & co and his friends will him into action. Rafiki seems to think he's still hesitant in his heart though. Either way, those annoying hyenas need to be tracked down so we can interrogate them for information regarding the Scar ghost. So that'll be next time. Next time: Simba needs to become an individual and be himself and no one else. GIANT HEARTLESS. Also... Absent Silhouette Lexaeus is coming up. So I'll give my attempt guess for that too. 1,000+ attempts.
Before I get into the title I'll talk about the other stuff first obviously. I finished up Olympus Coliseum. Apparently Auron is being controlled by... a statue? Okay... looks like Hercules will try to stall while we get it. So Sora & co. do that. YAY. BLATANT FINAL FANTASY X REFERENCES. After that we have to head back to return the statue to Auron. Like the idiots they are, Pain & Panic allow us to "watch Hercules lose." The statue is returned, it shatters, and Auron returns to his normal, awesome self. Meg is thrown into the Abyss by Hades and Hercules goes after her as we fight him. We can't damage him because its "his Underworld" Hercules comes back!! He's back to his normal self. He helps us take on Hades again and this time there are ways to damage him. The fight isn't too difficult and he is eventually beaten. Are Sora & co. true heroes now? Well... the stars in Olympus Coliseum showed their image... is that a yes? I also get a Keyblade from Auron. Next up is Port Royal again. Looks like the curse has returned, thanks to, GEE I WONDER, Organization 13. Apparently Will tried to investigate it so we have to go rescue him. That occurs and he confirms Org. 13's presence. This eventually leads to Luxord making his appearance and leaving the Grim Reaper for us to fight. Unbelievably easy. However... apparently he knows pirate code and invokes Parley. I THOUGHT PIRATES DIDN'T HAVE ANY RULES? He throws some medallions away and the Grim Reaper turns invincible. Wonderful. We're also thrown to the Ship Graveyard where Jack has become a skeleton again. Eventually we're rescued by Will and Elizabeth and we have to run around getting the medallions from Gambler Nobodies. So that's accomplished and Luxord and the Grim Reaper are confronted. Lengthy and annoying fight but victory is achieved and Luxord runs away like the jerk coward he is. Jack (Sparrow) tries to wield the keyblade to no luck and the world is finished. I have Magnara so I do more Atlantica. HOW THE HELL IS URSULA BACK?! Either way, Ariel gets tricked by Ursula AGAIN and tries to get that Prince she loves to kiss him. But Ursula took her voice so she becomes a de-facto Siren and puts Eric under a spell. Sora has enough and stops this. ABOUT TIME. This eventually leads to Triton taking Ariel's place on the contract and Ursula getting the Trident AGAIN and the Ursula's Revenge musical. Which is completed and Ursula is defeated once more. I get a Keyblade for my troubles. I need Thundaga for the final musical so I move on to... Absent Silhouette Larxene. This leads to the title for this. I BEAT ABSENT SILHOUETTE LARXENE ON MY FIRST TRY. I HAVE CLAIMED MY REVENGE FOR CHAIN OF MEMORIES. You all want to know how I did it on my first try right? Well... I didn't exactly have a specific strategy. Here's the two reasons why I probably beat her on my first try: 1. I was pretty over-leveled. The recommended level was 32. Sora & co were in the 44-45 range. 2. I had decent Thunder-elemental equipment that I had synthesized and equipped to Sora & co. That was... pretty much it. The fight is annoying but whatever I did obviously worked. Lexaeus is next but I don't think I'll be beating him on my first try. I want more levels even though I'm 5 levels above the recommended level for Absent Silhouette Lexaeus (40 is the recommended level and I'm 45) I'm going to complete Agrabah first so I can grind summons and Drive Forms again. So I start doing that. THAT IDIOTIC MERCHANT RELEASED JAFAR. WHAT AN IDIOT. Next time: Ursula tried to get her revenge. Now Jafar tries to get his. Also... Summon & Drive Form grinding again.
I chase down Xaldin and fight more lance Nobodies before eventually confronting the Organization 13 jerk. *sighs* I screwed up quite a bit. I'm not very good at guarding or using Reflect. So I ended up doing the Xaldin fight over quite a bit. It's not that I kept loosing, I just kept screwing up. I wasn't exactly keeping count of how many times I did the fight before I was satisfied. BUT THIS GUY WAS FREAKING RIDICULOUS. SERIOUSLY. PAIN. IN. THE. ASS. The other two characters kept dying near the end of the fight too. Just making it WORSE. UGH. I had to item abuse and use Cure sometimes just to win. I HATE YOU XALDIN. WORST FIGHT IN THE GAME SO FAR. I did win though. It wasn't exactly "pretty" though. That's not really important though is it? What matters is that I won. THAT RIGHT YOU JERK. YOU DIE. Peace returns to Beast's Castle and he asks Belle to stay and she agrees. How... cute. Anyway... I was mad about the Xaldin result so I grinded Wisdom Form after that to level 6. Didn't take too long. Now I just have to grind it one more time for it to be at max level. After that I started Olympus Coliseum again. Looks like Hades is celebrating the reopening of the Underdrome with a "Hades Cup." That may sound bad (considering how ridiculous Hades Cup was for me in KH1FM) but it's actually relatively easy and you get Hercules as an extra party member. Even though he's going through a depression phrase currently. Auron will have to be faced in the finals. For some reason... he doesn't seem to remember Sora & co. OH GREAT. NOW WHAT'S GOING ON?! Next time: What's going on with Auron?! BLATANT FINAL FANTASY X REFERENCES UPCOMING. Also getting back at Hades. P.S.: I. HATE. XALDIN.
So... 100 Acre Wood again. Roo's mom thinks medicine will make Pooh better but Tigger takes it. Tigger then thinks that bouncing will get Pooh to remember him. Yeah... no. He does eventually remember Tigger. Still doesn't remember Sora though. I revisit Land of Dragons and chase down an unknown person in an Organization 13 cloak that eventually leads to a fight with the unknown person and TONS of those fish Heartless again. The unknown person is wielding the SOUL EATER. Hi Riku. After this, a large Dragon Heartless goes towards the palace so the group chases after it. They can't get into the palace so they... climb a pole just to get in. Uh huh... Another Organization 13 cloaked person is found and Sora thinks its Riku, but instead it's Xigbar. So Nobodies are fought. After this the Dragon Heartless is fought. A long and annoying fight. I screwed up and hit Drive by accident and got Anti Sora Drive AGAIN which made it longer. But eventually I defeated it. Boy. This game is trying REALLY hard to imply a Mulan/Shang ship. *coughnotcough* It's then discovered that the unknown Organization 13 cloaked person was probably Riku when it's found out that he was rude and addressed Sora & co as "wise guys" That's all for this world. I don't know if I'll ever revisit it or not unless I decide to spend multiple world trips to grind for the Lingering Will fight. But that's later. I got another Torn Page so 100 Acre Wood is done once again. The 100 Acre gang are in a cave looking for Pooh who is missing. So I lead them through the cave, fighting bees and calming them down as I go. Eventually Pooh is located. Pooh finally remembers Sora and I get a 100 Acre Wood Keyblade that is good for Master form grinding. I'll make use of it later. I then revisit Beast's Castle and it looks like Beast and Belle are dressed up nice for something. Sora & co are interrupting obviously. They try to have their nice moment but it's interrupted by, not surprisingly, Xaldin of Organization 13. THESE JERKS JUST DON'T QUIT DO THEY. He brags about taking something important from Beast and it eventually turns out to be that magical rose. We have to get it back because it gives Beast and the others hope that their spell will be broken? Okay... Also... *ignores and flips off Marluxia Absent Silhouette with BOTH hands* Another Org. 13 fight is coming up. One of the more annoying ones. Will I finally die to a regular boss that's not optional? We'll find out soon enough. Next time: Xaldin boss fight. The one that's quite ridiculous. We'll see how many attempts it'll take me. I'm also getting close to the recommended level for the Lexaeus Absent Silhouette fight. But honestly... I want to do Larxene first and I want more levels for that too.
