So... I completed Cerberus Cup. All I had to do was use Master Form and Magnet. When I took on Cerberus, I used Limit Form's "Infinity" limit with "Shoot" that ended up doing A LOT of damage to Cerberus and when I ran out of MP I just reverted and wailed on him until my drive gauge restored. I rinse and repeated until victory was achieved. My Cerberus Cup record sucks (I only had 14 seconds left) but I've never cared about "records." All that matters to me, is the victory.

I did more Atlantica as well. Sebastian tried to do a song to get Ariel to not think about the human world but it didn't work AT ALL.

I was also FINALLY able to complete Mushroom 4 in Land of Dragons with 86 hits!!

Then I continued Hollow Bastion. Things are getting sketchy. TONS of Heartless. Maleficent runs away and Donald is able to convince YRP (Yuna, Rikku, & Paine) to help them out instead with treasure as a reward. I'm sure this won't end badly...

Then... SEPHIROTH.

I'm screwed. Oh wait, I didn't have to fight him. WHEW!!!!!!! Extra dungeon (Cave of Remembrance) is also unlocked. But my walkthrough says that doing it now was not recommended, so, I listened.

Eventually, Mickey tries to get Sora & co to go after Riku and Kairi but they end up ignoring him and helping out in Hollow Bastion instead.

Eventually... Demyx shows up again and is fought for real this time.

It was a rough fight, but I'm able to end up with a victory on my first try. Demyx then... "melts" (he's dead)

Something bad happens to Goofy and everyone overreacts. FOR GOOFY!!!!!!!!!!!

This game gets epic as groups of Heartless are fought with Final Fantasy character help. Yuffie, Leon (Squall), Tifa, and even Cloud.

Goofy is perfectly fine. Yay!!

It's also revealed that what was fought in KH1 was a heartless of a guy named Xehanort and the leader of Organization 13 is his Nobody. WONDERFUL.

So Xemnas finally makes his appearance and this leads to the best part of the game. The 1,000 Heartless fight.

It took awhile (obviously) but I win. Xemnas is confronted but runs away as Mickey chases after him. Axel shows up and then runs when Saix shows up. Sora tries to convince Saix to take him to Kairi and it doesn't work. GEE, I WONDER IF THAT'S BECAUSE ORG. 13 ARE A BUNCH OF JERKS.

It also becomes obvious that using the Keyblade helps Org. 13 and Sora doesn't know what to do. Then... unexpected help is given from... MALEFICENT?! Wow... okay...

They also get a picture and ice cream from a mysterious Org. 13 robed figure that Sora has a feeling is Riku and it has a picture of Roxas, Hayner, Pence, and Olette in it. Hollow Bastion is then finished once again. Until I go back to talk with YRP again and they want to take ALL MY ITEMS?!

Luckily, they don't and I get a Keyblade from them instead. Hollow Bastion is once again finished... for now.

Next time:

I got a Torn Page so I get to do more 100 Acre Wood. Also, the worlds will be revisited again, starting with the Land of Dragons. We wouldn't want these worlds to REMAIN peaceful now would we...?

Also... Coming Soon: Larxene Absent Silhouette fight.

After grinding some Drive Forms (Got Limit to Level 4 even though I just recently got it )

Eventually I continued Hollow Bastion. Looks like the Heartless situation has worsened and Nobodies are around too. Wonderful.

I then get to meet back up with Cloud, who is STILL looking for Sephiroth...

Eventually the group finds out that Ansem's computer was located and the King is interested in it. Also the Final Fantasy X-2 group are fairies or something.

But no Riku...

At least there's TIFA to make up for it.

Anyway after grinding some more the computer is looked at and is pushed too much. Sora & co. then get teleported INSIDE the computer into... a Tron world.

After helping out Tron, Sora & co. are able to escape and meet up with the King who gives Master Form. YAY. MORE DRIVE FORMS TO SPEND HOURS GRINDING.

Tron world is revisited to assist Tron further, eventually leading to the Hostile Program boss fight. Unbelievably annoying but I'm victorious regardless.

Tron world is done... for now. I guess the defense system going rogue is later. Oh goodie.

I have 5 drive bars so I can continue Atlantica or continue Hollow Bastion and pretty much activate the first Org. 13 fight of this game against Demyx as well as the 1,000 Heartless fight.

I think I'll grind my drives some more. So if I don't have much to talk about, or I don't update this at all, that's why.

Next time:

More Drive grinding and maybe more Atlantica with more Hollow Bastion a possibility as well.

Timon and Pumba are rescued from Nala as Simba fights her. Luckily, Simba tells her who he is. Eventually, Simba agrees to help take down Scar. Oh goodie.

The group makes their way back to Pride Rock and the three annoying Hyenas are fought while Timon and Pumba are protected once again. Slightly annoying but I win regardless.

Then Scar is fought with the power of darkness. Yikes. BUT AT LEAST I GET MORE "THE ENCOUNTER"

Also annoying. But use of items, healing, and Simba's limit leads to victory.

Simba becomes the new king and the world is finished and Cerberus Cup becomes available.

I tried it. SEVERAL times. I seriously can't do it. I keep getting hit, I can't beat the enemies fast enough BECAUSE THERE'S AN ANNOYING TIMER. IS THIS CUP IMPOSSIBLE?! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING WRONG.

So since I've FAILED MORE FOR UNKNOWN REASONS. Guess what I tried? Well it's obvious if you look at the title.

Absent Silhouette Zexion. I actually didn't do very bad on my first attempt. But got killed. I would have beaten him quicker but Auto Valor made me constantly turn into Anti Sora Drive Form and screwed me.

In the end though, after un-equipping Auto Valor and 5-6 attempts later...

ABSENT SILHOUETTE ZEXION IS DEFEATED.

You know what makes this even MORE impressive?

NO DODGE ROLL, NO SECOND CHANCE, AND NO ONCE MORE.

Yeah. Exactly.



I was level 29.

I can do this, but not Cerberus Cup?!

I tried to grind Drive Forms but Anti Sora Drive and not knowing the best place to level them up impede me.

Eventually I do Twilight Town's Second Visit. HI VIVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seifer & his gang got beat up by Nobodies. What a shock. So I fight them. Eventually winning. Seifer gives NO THANKS WHATSOEVER. Except for the part where he gave Sora his trophy for the strongest person in Twilight Town. Okay...?

We eventually find out that Kairi was in Twilight Town until she was kidnapped by Axel.

Looks like Hollow Bastion is up a creek now. Which is where I ended.

Next time:

Hollow Bastion's defenses go rogue and attack Sora & co.

Also... HOW IN THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO CERBERUS CUP. SERIOUSLY?!

I would also like tips on the best places to level up ALL the drive forms and ALL of the summons please. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Oogie Boogie was fought. It was... quite annoying. At least I got to hear "The Encounter" though. One of my favorite KH boss themes.

Eventually, after a lengthy fight, Oogie is beaten AGAIN and he falls apart AGAIN.

Jack (Skellington) is taught a lesson and reminded that he is in charge of Halloween while Santa is in charge of Christmas. I thought that was obvious? Either way, the world is done.

I tried to level up Wisdom Form but got unlucky AGAIN and got Anti-Sora Drive Form.

I'm... NEVER going to be able to do the mushrooms... am I?

Either way I start the next world. Sora turned into a cute lion. Yup. It's the Pride Lands. Now THIS is a world I can get into.

Sora & co. learn to move around in their new forms. Luckily they got inadvertently saved by Scar from becoming Hyena food. Whew...

Eventually they meet Nala and annoying Heartless are fought. She needs help overthrowing Scar. All of a sudden... Sora has a dumb idea that he'll become king. This guy...

Luckily, when Pride Rock is reached, Rafiki informs Nala that it won't work. Eventually, after running from Scar and a VERY weird looking Pete lion (WTF was he supposed to be? Seriously? ) they learn that Simba could be the next king since he's the son of Mufasa.

Everyone though Simba was dead. Ha Ha. No. They roam around looking for Simba and Sora learns to... Dash? Okay...

Eventually there's a Simba reunion who takes a while to realize that the Sora lion is, well, Sora.

Then we get a Timon and Pumba scream. That's where I had to stop unfortunately.

I'd have more to talk about but I had to make a lot of phone calls today.

Anyway...

We first reunite with Jasmine who eventually gets the wrong idea about Iago and goes to report it to the guards. Good job Iago.

We eventually meet back up with Aladdin as he's chasing Abu who stole a black lamp. Okay...?

Eventually... Iago is shaking like a leaf and reveals that... it's Jafar's lamp. Well... that's... not good...

So The Peddler is visited and eventually we're forced to go to the Cave of Wonders to get an amazing treasure to trade him for it. What a greedy...

I make it to the Cave of Wonders and struggle against the Fat Bandits. They're annoying. Seriously.

A trial is necessary for passage so I complete that and do it several more times just for a Puzzle Piece. Well... at least my levels are increasing?

We find a treasure and Pete eavesdrops on our conversation and learns about the lamp and throws Heartless at us... wonderful...

After that annoyance we go back to Agrabah and I get more levels by backtracking to Cave of Wonders Treasure Room for missed treasure chests. After I go back to Agrabah AGAIN Pete is confronted.

But not before Genie returns and mistakes Pete for Aladdin. Seriously...?

Volcanic and Ice Lords are fought and defeated. Not to ridiculous.

So... apparently I was wrong about Iago. Though... something tells me I shouldn't accept him as "a new bird" just yet...

Then I get a bunch of scenes. Here's a summary: Pluto in The World That Never Was. Someone gives him a dark passage to somewhere. Kairi meets Axel. Enter Pluto and Nobodies. Kairi runs away with Pluto in another mysteriously appearing dark passage. Kairi and Pluto end up in... TWILIGHT TOWN?!

Twilight Town is re-available but I decide to listen to my walkthrough and do the rest of the worlds first. Which starts with... Halloween Town. Which is decorated for Hallowee-- CHRISTMAS?!

All of a sudden Pumpkin King Jack is obsessed with Christmas and Sandy Clause (Santa Claus).

Eventually Christmas Town is entered with new Final Mix attires for Sora & co.

Santa is met and Sora is disappointed because Santa knows that he told someone he didn't believe in him. Awkward...

Also Lock, Shock and Barrel quickly become bad again when Maleficent shows up and brings back Oogie Boogie. This... isn't going to end well...

Prison Keeper is fought. It's annoying, but, victory is achieved regardless.

Santa is then kidnapped by Oogie Boogie. WONDERFUL.

So... that's pretty much all. "The Encounter" will be playing soon. Decent theme.

Fighting Oogie Boogie. AGAIN.

No I don't know when I'll attempt Absent Silhouette Zexion.

Lots to talk about for once.

Let's start with the Pain & Panic Cup. I did it too early. It clearly stated the level was "25" but I attempted it at 21. POOR DECISION.

I struggled quite a bit.

But... since I'm the type of person that doesn't like to give up, I kept trying. Donald & Goofy kept dying however.

Eventually though... due to mostly persistency... I defeat Leon and Yuffie and win the Pain & Panic Cup. It was rough but I came out victorious regardless.

Then I moved on to Atlantica. The Musical world. Maybe the crappy controls would have been better? Hmm...

I do the first Musical. For some reason, I do pretty well. Mostly got "Excellent with an occasional "Good" and "Bad"

Maybe my reaction time got better? Not sure...

Anyway I need Magnet so I move on to Port Royal.

Let me take a break for a moment and just say something about this world:

I like this movie series. I really do. It's a pretty decent movie series. However... putting it in Kingdom Hearts? I don't know... For me... it just doesn't "fit" you know? It doesn't seem to make much sense either... that's just me I guess. Plus... they censored the crap out of it. Not cool. Crossbows instead of flat out guns.

If it's going to be censored... don't put it in at all.

Anyway... I reach town and it's being attacked by Pirates and some girl gets kidnapped. Oh noes!!

Hi Will. Don't fight Heartless. It won't end well. Also Pete working with Barbossa? Yes... that's... perfectly logical. See what I mean?

Eventually I meet Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack Sparrow.

We go after Barbossa. We even get the famous line from the first movie too. "You better believe in ghost stories Ms. Turner. Because... your in one"

I still feel like this world doesn't fit.

We go to rescue the damsel in distress, Will betrays Jack, and we run away as the Black Pearl chases us. Then eventually we get caught and they literally try to KILL Sora & co. by blowing up the ship with barrels of dynamite.

Yes do this but don't give the pirates guns.

Did I mention that "He's a Pirate" sounds better? Because it does. At least that's good?

Eventually Will is the one kidnapped and we go back to Isla de Muerta to face off against Barbossa. So that happens.

Barbossa is defeated and the curse is removed just as he's shot by Jack. YES. GIVE JACK A GUN BUT NOT THE OTHER PIRATES.

Yeah. I complete Port Royal in one sitting. So I try Mushroom 4 again. I... do better. But still not good enough.

New record: 49

BTW... Larxene's Absent Silhouette is on Isla de Muerta. Because... that makes sense?

YEAH. THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE ATTEMPTED YET EITHER. I'LL SEE YOU WHEN I'M IN THE LEVEL 40'S OR 50'S.

*flips off Larxene as I run past it*



With all this done I have nothing else to do. So I begin Agrabah.

I SEE YOU IAGO.

YES. THAT MAKES SENSE. JUST LIKE STARLIGHT GLIMMER IS "REFORMED"

Whoops. Should I have put that last part in spoilers since it's unknown how it'll be taken? Too late.

I fight some Heartless until Iago "accidentally" helps and we run into some run-down shop.

That's all I was able to do. Whew.

Agrabah. Is Iago reformed? I personally doubt it.

Also... I'm getting kind of close to the 25 range. Which means I'm close to the 30 range.

Guess what that means?

ZEXION ABSENT SILHOUETTE TIME.

Oh goodie. Still though. I'm not there yet. So... yeah...

Before I explain the title... I'll talk about what I did for a bit.

I escort Minnie to the Throne. It was... kind of annoying but at least her "Faith" reaction command made it bearable.

The Cornerstone of Light is surrounded by thorns!! Yeah... obviously Maleficent. But how did that happen?

I get Merlin and we teleport immediately back. When then learn that we have to go to a "special world" to resolve the problem.

It turns out to pretty much be a "Steamboat Willie" world that's in black and white. Where Pete isn't the bad guy?! Whose responsible then?!

We also discover that we're in the past (no duh) and that we can view "windows" to view events in the near past.

That's when things get... annoying. The "Mayhem" gauge. I was able to complete the first two areas... but... Scene of the Fire and Mickey's House were just... annoying. It took me 4 attempts just to complete Scene of the Fire.

Also I discover Anti-Sora Drive Form.

Anyway... with persistency I eventually complete the four areas and discover that Future/Current Pete somehow got access to this area too. Well... at least it's obvious what to do now...

I beat on Pete a few times and eventually Sora & co. lock the door to prevent access to it by Pete and Maleficent and all is well.

This is where things get... interesting. I found a Torn Page so I do more 100 Acre Wood.

Apparently Pooh's friends remember Sora but Pooh doesn't remember Sora or his friends. That's... actually kind of sad...

Until I complete a Piglet rescue mini-game and Pooh remember Piglet but still doesn't remember Sora.

Then I attempted one of the "Organization 13" Mushrooms. Number 4 specifically.

FAILED. HORRIBLY. 0 IS MY RECORD.

Yeah... I think I suck at this game. My failures in Timeless River and Number 4 Org. 13 Mushroom failure seem to suggest that. Maybe I'm wrong though? Probably not...

So here's the dilemma and other problem. Pain and Panic cup is available. Also I can do the "Kingdom Hearts 2: The Musical" sidequest as well (Atlantica)

I'd like to and want to do both. But I'm starting to think I suck at this game. I wonder how badly I'll fail at these? I GUESS WE'LL FIND OUT.

Next time:

Pain and Panic Cup. Will I succeed? Or will I continue to FAIL? Also... the game turns into a musical with musical mini-games in Atlantica.

Well... it can't be any worse than Atlantica was last time.......... right?

RIGHT?!

So... the Hydra. Easy at first, then got annoying. Either way I win and complete Olympus Coliseum.

Then apparently Disney Castle is in trouble.

So Sora and co. go there only to find... no one. Except Heartless of course.

Eventually, after A LOT of fighting, Sora gets to meet Queen Minnie.

Looks like Sora will have to escort her to the throne while Donald and Goofy evacuated everyone else.

That's... all I was able to get done. I have some things I had to and still have to do during the later part of this week, which is pretty much why I haven't had as much time to play this game as I would have liked. Hopefully I'll be able to start playing it again tomorrow or the weekend.

Next time: Escorting a Queen and Time Traveling?!

I continue Olympus Coliseum. For once I didn't get a lot done.

Auron is summoned by Hades and he betrays him immediately.

AURON. YOU'RE TOO AWESOME.

One problem... Hades can't be damaged because it's "his Underworld."

Sora and co. run away.

Eventually Cerberus makes a reappearance.

FIGHT!!

I wonder if I did better than in KH1: FM?

The answer... is YES. FIRST TRY.

Sora and co. are unable to complete Meg's request and Auron disappears. How he do that...?

They go to the Coliseum and reunite with Hercules and also train with Phil. They also learn that the Olympus Stone will get rid of the Underworld curse. At least they're nice enough to let us borrow it...

WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS STOLEN?!

*sighs* It's time for an Organization XIII hunt. So I do that.

Eventually I face off with Demyx and his annoying water clones. Luckily, I'm able to win.

A stone is then found that looks like Meg. To the rescue!! As always of course...

I protect Meg and beat down Pete but I didn't know there was a TIME LIMIT in the Pete boss fight. SERIOUSLY?!

So... yeah... I had to do all of that AGAIN. But I complete it on the second try.

Looks like the Hydra that Herc thought he defeated isn't so defeated.

Oh boy. It's the part of the game that generated a meme.

Next time:

GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Also possibly Disney Castle and time traveling to Timeless River.

Just so you know... I don't intend on attempting the Zexion Absent Silhouette until I'm in the level 30 range. The recommend level is 25 in the walkthrough I have but I've been a little over-leveled for the bosses so I want to air on the side of caution. So that's what I'll do.

Stay tuned to where my oh-so-fun "Guess Attempts" return when that happens and I give you my guess for how many attempts that'll take me.

I got quite a bit done.

Hollow Bastion!! Yay for Scherzo Di Notte!!

Yuffie is in Advent Children attire and Squall (Leon) is in FF8 attire. Cid also gained a voice actor.

Hollow Bastion has a defense system that's helping me in battles. Good. I need that sometimes. I'm sure it won't turn on me or anything...

Organization XIII... dealing with these jerks is just going to be SO fun...

I also do the first Gummi Ship... thing. I... wasn't very good at it. Well... I can see what I'll be struggling with mostly for this game...

Anyway...

Mulan world huh? I didn't really use Mushu alot... but... okay?

Mulan's trying to pretend to be a guy and Sora Donald and Goofy are treated amazingly whereas Mulan/Ping isn't.

I guess that makes sense... but... also... doesn't.

BTW... the MP Gauge didn't really "change" it just... looks different. I don't remember it looking like that in the original. However, it has been a REALLY long time since I played it... so maybe I just don't remember?

It charges after you deplete it. So it's the same. It just looks different. To me only I suppose.

Not much else to say. The Assault Rider is a pain though.

Will I survive the Mulan world? I'm not fairing well with the heartless. Plus there's the annoying "Morale" Gauge. We shall see...

Well... I finished Roxas' story.

I beat Axel with Dual Keyblade Wielding Roxas. It was quite the struggle and I had to waste a Potion but I won either way.

How does Roxas wield TWO Keyblades anyway when Sora has to use Drives to do that? Does it have something to do with him looking like Ventus? (yes I'm aware of Birth By Sleep story because I watched a Let's Play of it.) I never really fully understood that...

Anyway...

Honestly... I kind of feel bad for Roxas. However... he's had his instances of being a jerk too. The end of 358/2 Days is the obvious example.

Either way... Sora awakens along with Donald and Goofy.

So... we're just going to pretend that Roxas part didn't happen?

Well... that's not completely true. That's MUCH later though...

BTW... the MP Gauge didn't change. It still looks like the Kingdom Hearts 3 MP Gauge from the trailers.

Since no one here seems to know what it is and can't explain how it's changed and what's new, I guess I'll have to find out myself.

Unless it doesn't change until Sora gets his new clothes. We'll see I guess?

Next time:

Real Twilight Town with the newly returned Sora and co. Which means no more Sinister Sundown. They should have kept that as the battle theme.

Mickey in an Organization XIII cloak?!

To be completely honest... there's one thing I want to be different from Final Fantasy 13-2 and the MLP: FiM Season 5 finale.

The Final Fantasy 13-2 ending was... BAD.

I'm not joking.

Admittedly it leads up to Final Fantasy 13-3 (Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13) but still...

How bad was it? Well...

Serah dies at the end. Caius pretty much wins and Chaos is unleashed EVERYWHERE. Yeah.

So... I DON'T want that.

No "To Be Continued" endings allowed. Not that there's anything I can do if that's what happens.

Still though... it's better if that doesn't happen.

Anyway... Axel shows up. Well... this is awkward...

I beat him. I didn't lose. Once again I'm doing better than when I first played Kingdom Hearts 2. Consider that I cheated though... it's not really a surprise.

Vivi returns to normal. YAY.

I never cared for Final Fantasy VI. So I didn't hold back against Setzer. I win the Struggle tournament.

Kairi has apparently forgotten Sora. THANKS A LOT NAMINE.

Anyway... looks like they have to do homework now? That's... unfortunate...

The Seven Wonders of Twilight Town. Dual Keyblade Wielding Roxas?!

Continuing from my previous entry...

"Ruined Hometown" Ponyville is pretty much what's called a "Bad Future"

This also occurs quite a bit in Final Fantasy 13-2.

The most obvious example is when the game took inspiration from The Terminator series.

Bascially... Future Hope is the leader of an organization called "The Academy" and they attempt to create a "safe" almost "utopian" like city called Academia.

But... they do something foolish. The main enemies from the first Final Fantasy 13 were "god-like" entities that were called "Fal'Cie" that turned people into "L'Cie" to make them achieve a "focus" and they would... turn to crystal once this was done. (Not joking.) It was either that or turn into monsters called "C'ieth."

Wonderful ain't it?

Anyway... Hope and The Academy try to create an artificial Fal'Cie with artificial intelligence that they name "Proto Fal'Cie Adam"

HUGE MISTAKE.

What happens? It rebels, kills Hope and another important character and pretty much makes Academia a C'ieth infested city.

BUT RELAX.

For later in the game Serah and Noel go to Augusta Tower, where Proto Fal'Cie Adam is made, beat the crap out of it, and pretty much prevent that from happening and resolving the paradox.

Hope and the other character are then spared as if that never happened and the "utopian" city Academia is created.

But yeah... Bad Futures seem to be common with Final Fantasy 13-2 and Season 5 finale of MLP: FiM as well.

Yes. I started playing Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix last night. Because I was bored.

First we get a recap.

Alrighty then.

We get introduced to Roxas. Plus there's Hayner, Pence, and Olette. This give me HUGE nostalgia.

Mostly because a LONG time ago I wrote a fanfiction involving Hayner, Pence and Olette getting... slightly more involved in the Kingdom Hearts stuff. It's hard to describe. It... wasn't that great though. But I enjoyed writing it.

Anyway...

Um... I have a serious question.

Did they change the MP Gauge in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix or did they just change it for the HD re-releases?

Because... I don't remember it looking like that. Unless it's really been THAT long since I've played KH2...

I remember it being a sort of "charge" thing. Not the drive gauge. But similar I think. It looks like the MP Gauge from the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers I've seen!! Seriously!!

I... don't understand this "new" MP Gauge. If it's "new" at all.

Anyway...

Roxas works so him and his friends go to the beach. Well... I did better in these mini-games at least. Except the ball one. That one is just... IMPOSSIBLE.

Then his hard earned munny gets stolen by someone in an Organization XIII cloak. Yeah... not surprised...

BTW... I choose the Defense Stuggle weapon. Because I wanted more Defense.
