So we start off with the game offering a tutorial. It's been awhile since I played the Platinum Demo and tutorials are always good for a refresher so I said yes. For the tutorial... WE'RE REUNITED WITH CARBY!!!!!!!! (Carbuncle) AND HE COMMUNICATES VIA TEXT MESSAGES AGAIN. THE BEST. *coughs* Anyway... we learn about some of the lore of Eos (the location where Final Fantasy XV takes place) and then we practice combat skills with help from Gladiolus. Pretty nice of him. We practice dodging, attacking, and warp striking. ONCE AGAIN THIS FREAKING BATTLE SYSTEM. IT'S JUST LIKE KINGDOM HEARTS. THE BEST. Also... you can hide behind certain areas to recover HP and MP as well. This actually reminds me of some of the stuff I've seen from Persona 5 in trailers. Kinda cool honestly. Extra methods to recover is always good if you ask me. We also practice parrying and counterattacking as well as teamwork, link skills, team techniques, and spells. Pretty much everything honestly. We even get a tutorial on equipping gear, and elemancy to craft spells. Looks like the customization in this game is the fact that you can craft spells. Never seen that in any other Final Fantasy game. Pretty unique. I like it. Spells are also quite different in FFXV. You throw them kind of like a bomb honestly. You even have to aim it. It's pretty unique but I can foresee how this may cause problems in the heat of battle when enemies are rushing towards you. Well... I guess that's why you only use it when your sure that you can. I'm sure your wondering how I did in the tutorial. Well... it was a little of both. By both, I mean at times I did pretty well and at other times I kind of sucked. I think I'll get the hang of it once I get more practice so I'm not to worried. Either way I'm also introduced to two battle themes as well. Both pretty freaking amazing. The first is clearly from the Platinum Demo and is the same as the Platinum Demo battle theme: Spoiler The next is another battle theme that is likely the main battle theme for the game: Spoiler After finishing everything up I finally begin the game for real... The first thing I see is a weird scene of Noctis, Prompto, Ignis, and Gladiolus in a throne room fighting a HUGE first monster. IFRIT IS THAT YOU?! WHAT THE HELL?! But that only lasts a while before we end up in a throne room with the king pretty much giving Noctis his blessings for his journey as he is on his way to find his bride-to-be Lunafreya in order to bring 'states together' or something like that by marrying her. So... is this an arranged marriage or are they actually in love? Either way what would Final Fantasy be with a love story? Noctis and the King have some words and Noctis assures he's not going to back out and the King says some weird stuff about not being able to turn back and to take care. I'M SURE THIS ISN'T FORESHADOWING OR ANYTHING. So we head out with Prompto, Ignis, and Gladiolus. However... Our car, Regulus, breaks down in the middle of a desert road and Noctis and co. have to push it. WOW. GREAT START. We get a pretty theme though. Which is this: Spoiler Eventually we make it to a repair station called Hammerhead where we meet Cindy, a mechanic that is apparently the granddaughter of Cid. Cid is always the character in Final Fantasy that does mechanical work. We meet Cid and he has some harsh words for Noctis about his jaw getting himself into trouble and him having a long way to go. Whatever you say old man. But the fact of the matter is that we have no funds at all and our broke so we have to find a way to convince Cindy to help us out as well as possibly trying to find a way to make some money. Either way the game starts for good this time and I explore a bit. I explore the store and get some information from a guy in a restaurant. I also run around the area collecting items. I have to admit the game is VERY pretty and CLEARLY OPEN-WORLDED. The first open-world Final Fantasy. The area is HUGE and we're not even in a city. Unfortunately this was all I was able to do. Trust me I wanted to play more but couldn't. It's a somewhat slow start but once I actually start doing stuff like fighting monsters, doing quests, and so forth I'm sure it'll turn into BEST. GAME. EVER. like I'm thinking it will. Next time: We talk with Cindy to get help with our funds. Will she help us? Well if not this isn't going to be a very long game.
As the title states... I've officially completed my preparations. So... BEST. GAME. EVER will be officially started either tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully tonight.
Now that I'm done with Pokemon Sun... IT'S FINALLY TIME. 10 YEARS OF WAITING. 10. YEARS. IT'S ABOUT TO PAY OFF THOUGH. TIME FOR BEST. GAME. EVER. Remember everyone... if I beat Final Fantasy XV... I don't have to watch Equestria Girls 4 EVER. Either way... I have to make some preparations first so just consider this a 'preparation' post. I need to install the game on my PS4 as well as whatever the most recent patch is which will take quite some time. Plus I need to print out a second walkthrough to use in collaboration with my Official Strategy Guide that I bought. Either way... I FINALLY GET TO PLAY THIS GAME. I CAN'T WAIT. Next time: I begin the adventure with Noctis, Ignis, Prompto, and Gladious. Let's see how things start off...
Guess what? THAT'S RIGHT. It's time for another blog where I post something controversial and/or polarizing!! Because I know how you all just love these!! (not. Of course I could care less.) So you know the drill. Don't read it if you don't think you'll like it or just don't respond to it AT ALL instead of confronting me about it and making things worse. Today's topic is... Is once again Equestria Girls. Specifically Equestria Girls 4. a.k.a. Legend of Everfree or whatever the hell it's called (I honestly don't care what it's called) I've officially decided my video game 'challenge' for this movie where if I complete it I don't have to watch it EVER. Keep in mind... I'm undefeated in my Equestria Girls video game 'challenges' thus far. So it may or may not be obvious how this will end. So... what is it? Well here's a few hints: BEST. GAME. EVER. 10 years of waiting FINALLY pays off. Still can't figure it out? Okay I'll make it more obvious. Spoiler AT LONG LAST. Some of the 'challenges' have actually been pretty complex. This one isn't. Which is a nice change of pace. It's actually pretty simple... All I have to do is beat Final Fantasy XV. That's it. If I beat an optional boss... that's just a bonus. But it's pretty much as simple as that. *spreads arms wide open as I laugh maniacally* I SHALL NEVER HAVE TO WATCH ANY EQUESTRIA GIRLS MOVIE. *continues to laugh maniacally* Final Fantasy XV a.k.a. BEST GAME EVER... here I come.
Are you ready? I sure am. So are Yuuko, Nokia, Arata, Alphamon, Omnimon, and the main character of course. Now... CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have to fight the Mother Eater in order to Connect Jump into it to rescue Yuugo. Which we do. FREAKING EASY AS HELL. Wait... oh no... We rescue Yuugo despite him yelling us not to come any closer to him. We drag him out of the Mother Eater. Yuugo rescued!! Until he reveals that he's basically been preventing the Mother Eater from corroding the mental data that was accumulated by the Eaters as he had access to their network, which also explains why he was able to appear in cyberspace except in memory fragment form. WELL CRAP. Now what? Suedou to the rescue?! WAIT. OH GOD. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING. I HATE IT WHEN I'M RIGHT. Suedou then 'replaces' Yuugo as consciousness of the Mother Eater. To help us? WELL WHAT DO YOU THINK?! OF COURSE NOT. He's going to use the Mother Eater to create his so-called 'evolved' world of course. I KNEW IT. I KNEW IT ALL ALONG. DAMN YOU SUEDOU. But Yuuko quickly points out we can just Connect Jump back in and get him out. Right. YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH THIS *squee!*. Or... not...? We can't Connect Jump?! Suedou then reveals that our Connect Jumping into Eaters has eroded the main character's half cyber body and if he does it once more it'll basically destroy it. WELL CRAP. Alphamon then goes into a weird rant about how Suedou's 'new world' could be one of the possibilities of the future along with King Drasil's will and its role may be to oversee it. We are then asked what we are going to do. WELL WHAT DO YOU THINK?! Is everyone ready? IT'S PENULTIMATE REVENGE TIME. The first 'form' of the true final boss fight wasn't too bad. I just had to use a few items and I pretty much won without too much difficulty. Yuugo is determined to protect us now that all his friends are together and he won't allow Suedou to get away with this. NOW'S OUR CHANCE. ONCE MORE WITH VIGOR. CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spoiler The true final boss... MY GOD. Yeah... it was pretty hard. I had to item abuse a little bit and revive some Digimon. Overall... I'd say it was just unbelievably annoying then actually 'hard.' But you should all know me by now and how I'm persistent. In the end the result was obvious. I WON OF COURSE. With the Mother Eater defeated... now what? Everyone tries to think of something. Possibly locking Suedou up. Then... well... what do you expect? The main character takes things into his own hands as always and does something crazy. By that I mean he ignores everyone's pleas and Connect Jumps back into the Mother Eater to retrieve Suedou. Suedou said a lot of stuff that pretty much made no sense honestly. But I guess that's just how he is? He said stuff like Gods and stuff. Though he did say that the Eaters were from a higher dimension that no one should be able to reach. Then he states that he's going to work with King Drasil to ensure that the Eaters are returned to whence they came and we’re kicked out. Well... that... was quite... unexpected. Everyone is relieved that we're okay. King Drasil's will returns to normal and begins to restore the Digital World back to normal so we get the heck out of there. It's restored to what it once was back to its beautiful self when it was first discovered by Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, Nokia, and the main character. But there's more to it than that. It looks like it's going to be restored to how it was even before the Digimon were met. As in it'll be as if the Digimon were never met by us. Plus, King Drasil, shockingly, releases the mental data accumulated by the Eaters back to our world. Which, basically, will cure EDEN Syndrome. Wow… that’s quite unexpected. Still though… UGH. THE FEELS. But Nokia, being Nokia, states that it'll work out and we begin to go back home as we say our sad goodbyes to the Digimon including Kyoko/Alphamon. As we go back home... we see the Digimon coming home including some of the Royal Knights. Eventually... Yuugo leaves as his mental data is going back to his body and we're ready to go home. Yay... ........................ WHAT. JUST. HAPPENED?! THE MAIN CHARACTER DISAPPEARED AGAIN. NO. DON'T TELL ME THIS GAME JUST PULLED A PERSONA 3. NOT AGAIN. Tokyo... is back to normal... everything is as it should be. Right? Yuugo is back and he is undergoing rehabilitation with help from Yuuko, Arata, and even Nokia. Yuuko and Yuugo's father is an ordinary man and Rie Kishibe seems to be in love with him and not a jerk anymore I'm guessing? Plus, everyone who contracted EDEN Syndrome has woken up by what most people are calling a ‘miracle.’ Things... do seem peaceful... but... the main character... Arata kids about the main character possibly appearing in EDEN as a ghost which gets Yuuko angry at him. However, this seems to motivate Nokia to stop moping around and to go searching for the main character in ghost form apparently with Arata as her assistant. We wake up with Alphamon/Kyoko in front of us. Apparently, they were waiting for us to wake up for a long time and was just about to give up. Alphamon tells us that our last Connection Jump pretty much destroyed our cyber body and the data has been scattered everywhere. WELL CRAP. Then... Alphamon asks if we want to come to the Digital World since we're a digital entity anyway and assist in investigating the Eaters and just what exactly they are and what their purpose is. WAIT DO I ACTUALLY GET A CHOICE HERE?! FREAKING ALPHAMON. It was a joke apparently. He claims he got that from humans and wanted to see the look on our face. How... nice... Because of everything we did... and all the lives we've touched... including Digimon... Alphamon states that we've affected a lot of people. Including... OUR OWN DIGIMON. Oh... god... is it... it is... isn't it? Our memories still exist within our own Digimon. Which can basically be used to reform our data and our mental data to reinstall into our body. Including Alphamon, though it admits it may be a little 'weird.' .................. IT JUST WENT FROM PERSONA 3 TO PERSONA 4 IN A MATTER OF MOMENTS. Re-installation in progress............. CREDITS. HEY IT'S LIKE A MARVEL MOVIE. AFTER-CREDITS SCENE. First off... the main character is back in Tokyo. THANK GOD. Looks like the 'weird' data gave the main character strange taste in coffee. Thanks Alphamon/Kyoko. We get a scene with someone chasing after a criminal. It turns out to be... yep. Kyoko. Who seems to have been missing until just now. She introduces herself to us once again (deja vu anyone?) and comments on our weird tastes but says she'll try it. Then she states it seems like she's forgetting something... WILL SHE REMEMBER?! Well... she states that she needs an assistant (more deja vu) and asks if we're up for it. To which... the main character... can only do one thing. Smile. THE END. MY GOD. THIS GAME. THE SOUNDTRACK. THE STORY. EVERYTHING. BEST. DIGIMON GAME. EVER. I'M NOT JOKING HERE. I seriously loved it. I really did. It's reinvigorated my love of Digimon. Plus, there's another Digimon game being localized next year now. MAYBE... IS DIGIMON REALLY ON THE COMEBACK?! I REALLY HOPE SO. That's it guys. The end of yet another thought/experience blog. I really enjoyed this. I really did. The next game I plan on playing is the Ratchet & Clank PS4 remake. No blog for that. So now the question is... what will be my next thought/experience blog? I think that should be obvious. But in case it's not... it'll be revealed soon. See you guys next time I guess. For more fun and insanity of course. Next time: LET'S GO ON A ROAD TRIP TO SAVE THE WORLD. Final Fantasy XV thoughts/experiences. Did you expect any less?
Get it? I know. It's bad and I should feel bad. Either way... there's really not much for me to talk about. I continued making my way to the Mother Eater and fought 3 more King Drasil 7D6's with help from Alphamon, Yuuko, and Nokia. Each fight was difficult in their own unique ways but every one of them still ended in my victory. I'm practically at the end of the game now and the final boss fight(s). But now with the ongoing DNS attacks and PSN being down and it being completely unknown when it will be back, I'm not sure when I will be able to beat the game. I suppose I could try to just ignore it and try playing the game without PSN connectivity but I'm unsure how wise that is. Either way true ENDGAME is up next. Next time: Mother Eater. Rescue Yuugo, and time travel because that makes sense I guess?
I decided to be foolish. But was it really foolish? Either way Rina wants us to meet her at a 'special place' but we don't know where that 'special place' is. We try to get help from Mirei who reminds us that we met Rina in Shinjuku, but the Shinjuku in the Parallel World. However, Rina can't go back to the parallel world without Mirei and her Mastemon. We then get a call from an impatient Rina asking what's taking us so long and she seems to think we're going to stand her up and not show up at all. Um... you didn't even tell us where to meet... She then gets even more upset for us not 'remembering' the special place and why it's so special. This girl... has issues... Eventually she tells us it's Asakusa and off we go. I prepare by getting a party of all Data type Digimon since UlforceVeedramon is a Vaccine Digimon. We head out to Asakusa and meet Rina at the end of the Asakusa Digital Shift. She tells us that Asakusa is where she ate something she really liked. SERIOUSLY?! THAT'S WHY IT'S SPECIAL TO YOU?! *sighs* Well whatever. She states that she wants to take us on just because. So... this fight... the walkthrough had specific Digimon listed but I didn't have those Digimon. It did list using Poison though and I did at least have that. I also equipped my Digimon with CAM USBs and Equipment that increased their Speed and Defense. Whatever I did clearly worked. I inflicted UlforceVeedramon with Poison and that chipped away at it's health enough to the point where my GroundLocomon was able to finish it off despite it healing it's Poison when it's HP was low. WOW. I JUST BEAT ULFORCEVEEDRAMON AND BEAT IT RELATIVELY EASILY. Rina admits were tough and still doesn't have a reason for all of this. When we go back to Kyoko, she theorizes she did it to make sure that we can keep the city in a peaceful state. It's possible, but this girl is... weird... so... I just don't know. So... more cases are available. But I'm not doing any of them. Because their Royal Knight cases and fights. Which are significantly harder than the regular times you fight them. The same for the DLC 'Seven Demon Lord' cases. I got them all but only because I felt like it. I'm not actually doing them. Because my walkthrough once again wants you to have specific Digimon that I don't have and am not going to waste time trying to get. This is all optional stuff technically anyway and it's all really difficult. So I'm not risking it and that's all there is to it. Sorry? So I'm moving on to try to finish all of this off. We head out to the Digital World as Alphamon states the obvious of Suedou likely using us to accomplish his own goals. GEE YA THINK?! However, in contrast, we're using him to rescue Yuugo. We arrive at the Digital World... and... it's quite... decrepit. Not it's beautiful self that it was in the past. Likely due to the Eaters. It was actually kind of... disheartening... Either way we need to head out to King Drasil to confront the Mother Eater so we do so. But not before our path is blocked by what is apparently a security program created by King Drasil called King Drasil 7D6. King Drasil has been so corrupted by the Mother Eater that it's seeing us as enemies. So there's really no choice in the matter here. It's acting as a wall, so, we have to break through it. Arata jumps in with his new Diaboromon to help us as part of his 'rehabilitation' and we take it on. Despite the lengthy battle and some item abuse, I'm able to defeat it. We see some Eaters floating overhead and we move on to a large hole in the ground that the Eaters ate away at that seems to lead to King Drasil's Core. So we jump down it and meet up with Akemi Suedou. JUST WHAT I WANTED. We see the Mother Eater and how huge it is. As well as the fact that King Drasil has become fully corrupted. Which Suedou pretty much confirms as well. Clearly we have to get to the Mother Eater and destroy it. But it's likely that our path will be blocked quite a bit by the corrupted King Drasil. But with us this close, we're obviously not going to stop now. Next time: We head closer and closer to finishing this all once and for all. Can we destroy the Mother Eater? Well... let's hope so...
We chase the 'gang' to the end of the Digital Shift and they're determined to get their 'revenge' by saying that they are hackers as well who use Digimon and was able to 'convince' a Digimon to join them and they send it at us. It turns out to be a GroundLocomon. We're forced to fight it but I win relatively easily... Afterwards, Terriermon loses it, but does something epic at the same time and scolds them for what they were doing to Digimon and how the Digimon that are coming to the human world are just scared and how Digimon and humans can get along if they just try. We're able to calm Terriermon down as he knows that we're not like them. Somehow, Terriermon's words seem to get through to the 'gang' and they assure that they'll work towards being better people. Well... let's hope they keep to that. Either way we finish things off with Terriermon as he is still determined to work towards a better relationship between Digimon and humans. Good for him. Case complete. Now we can do main cases. We start with helping out Arata who wants our help with something, but seems to involve revenge at the same time and getting stronger Digimon so Nokia and us don't have to do all the work. Wow... that's actually... pretty nice. Either way it seems to involve Under Zero so we go back to the Valhalla server to see what revenge Arata wants assistance with. When we find Arata he tells us how much of a failure it was when he and his hacker group of Judes tried to come to Under Zero. They didn't have Digimon programs so they were wiped out pretty badly by a security program which was the cause of his group to go crazy and lose confidence in themselves. Including Arata for feeling responsible for what happened. But he's determined to prove himself and overcome his weaknesses now. The security program turned out to be a Knightmon that didn't remember Arata which doesn't surprise Arata because it was a long time ago. But he's determined to take out the Knightmon for what happened. So we fight it. Honestly... this fight... was somewhat annoying. Not only was it lengthy... it kept using a stupid annoying attack that was killing my Digimon. So yeah I had to item abuse again. But eventually I came out victorious so I suppose that's all that matters. Afterwards Arata's Infermon digivolves to Diaboromon and he seems to think with that he can help us out even more. Yeah... you probably can. He thanks us and this case is complete. Next up... WAIT WHAT?! JIMIKEN IS TRYING TO MAKE A COMEBACK?! It's a joke... right? Nope. Not a joke. The client actually turns out to be Jimiken himself. Oh great. I thought you were dead? Not only that he claims to have kidnapped the Shibuya Records worker Reiko Tawa. So clearly we have to stop this idiot once again. As we leave though, Etemon comes up to us saying he hasn't seen his soulmate Rieko. Um... I don't think that word is proper here... Either way when we inform him of what's going on he loses his mind and becomes determined to save Reiko, which causes Etemon to digivolve to MetalEtemon. Well then... We head out to Shibuya and are forced to fight some hackers before we can make our way further into Shibuya. They weren't too difficult battles honestly. When we do make our way to the Shibuya Records store... there he is in his idiotic glory. Jimiken. *sighs* MetalEtemon demands Reiko back and Jimiken refuses. Then... after some more arguing... Reiko comes out... asking if everyone wants to rock. Um... WHAT?! WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?! MetalEtemon is understandably shocked and Jimiken is prepped for his comeback and our finale. Yeah right. Battle time. Once again it was a lengthy battle but not overly difficult. I came out victorious in the end. Afterwards Jimiken admits we're tough but then states that all of this was for Reiko's singing debut. WAIT WHAT?! So... yeah... it turns out Reiko knows Jimiken and just wanted to create a huge event for music and wanted her own chance to sing as well. Plus... with her weird tastes in Etemon's music... she wanted him to sing as well. This girl... certainly does try her hardest to create better music and new unique music. I guess? Well whatever floats her boat I suppose. After all of this awkwardness the case is complete. That's all I did this time though. Next time: Should I even attempt Rina's challenge and the UlforceVeedramon fight? I don't know... but... I might be stupid enough too...
Preparations must be made before we end all of this once and for all. Besides, there are still other cases to be done that can be used as de-facto 'training' and 'preparation' and I hate leaving things undone. So we go back to the Detective Agency to prepare and do those side things. Kyoko informs us of a Digimon that has submitted a case but needs help from a human. Since Kyoko has revealed that she's a Digimon at heart, we'll have to handle this one. We also get a call from Rina who challenges us to a fight with her and Veevee. Because... you know... UlforceVeedramon is totally not IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT OR ANYTHING. *sighs* Well... we may or may not try that later at least in an attempt. For now though. Side cases. The first one is from a Biyomon who wants help in learning to fly. So we suggest talking with a Digimon who knows how to fly. Biyomon goes to Shibuya to get assistance from a Hawkmon. However, the Hawkmon states the cold hold truth, even if it is a little on the mean and rude side. This makes Biyomon aggressive and unable to calm down. Forcing action and us to fight it. Which we are able to win. After calming down, both Biyomon and Hawkmon apologize to one another and Biyomon's flight training begins in full. Case complete? Next up, two Digimon are constantly fighting and it's annoying someone so we go and try to get them to stop. It turns out to be a Cyclonemon and a Leomon who seem to have a deep grudge and rivalry with one another. Shouting at them doesn't seem to do much so we try insulting them. Well... that worked. Of course it eventually ends in us having to fight them both to make them stop. Despite the lengthy battle that occurred we still came out victorious and they decide to settle things in a secluded area where no one is around. This makes the case complete. Have fun? Dr. Datamon then makes his not-so-surprising return as he assures us that his medicine is fully complete this time. He wants to see his medicine in action so he comes with us to give it to a RustTyranomon who seems to have a weird virus that's making him aggressive and unable to control himself. We eventually find said RustTyranomon and a battle breaks out due to him being unable to control himself. After a while... the medicine is given to him and he returns to normal. Whew. At least it worked this time. To bad RustTyranomon ended up finding out what was in the medicine. PlatinumSukamon's 'Thing' which is... well... it's not good. That's about all I can say to keep this 'clean.' Either way because of that he fights us AGAIN. Not only that, Dr. Datamon runs like a coward claiming he had other 'business.' Luckily I really didn't have any problems with this and still ended up winning relatively easily. Afterwards, RustTyranomon admits he overreacted and that the medicine worked despite what was in it. He apologizes to us and says he'll do the same to Dr. Datamon later. As the case completes, Dr. Datamon admits it may be better to keep the description of the ingredients as brief as possible. Gee ya think? The next case involves an Angemon who wants us to bring Devimon to him so he can punish him for his misdeeds. However, when we try to do so, Devimon refuses and states that Angemon should come to him. So when we report that, Angemon gets all angry for us 'giving up so easily' and he fights us. SERIOUSLY?! Well... I ended up winning after a somewhat lengthy battle so I guess it didn't matter, but, still... These angry Digimon keep apologizing afterwards. Angemon runs off after Devimon. Case complete. Yeah... these cases are pretty short... So the next case is the case with the Digimon Kyoko talked about. A Terriermon who wants a scoop about humans. They heard about us and us helping troubled Digimon and Terriermon is determined to stop the fighting between humans and Digimon and show that humans and Digimon can get along. Well... at least some of these Digimon have common sense... Either way Kyoko gives us another case fit for a detective. Involving a dine and dash incident at a restaurant in Shibuya. We head off to investigate with Terriermon in tow. The good thing about this is that the woman who needed our help was able to remember which customers left at around the time the dine and dash occurred. Her husband is gone as he went after the criminal. We begin our investigation. Afterwards, in what is basically almost exactly like the Ace Attorney series, we compare testimonies and discover the criminal. Terriermon was pretty freaking epic during this. Just when we think we've resolved it with the police arriving... it turns out the police officer was a fake and him and the criminal were all part of it together as they are a part of some weird gang that gets kicks out of doing bad things. They claim they are going to have their revenge before running off to the Shibuya Digital Shift. Terriermon is confounded by this and them wanting revenge when they are the ones who did wrong in the first place. Honestly... I'm confused to Terriermon. Either way we can't let things end like this so we chase after them through the Shibuya Digital Shift. Unfortunately, this was all I had the time to do. Next time: Can we stop this so-called 'gang' from doing bad things? What other insanity will we get into? Is UlforceVeedramon legitimately impossible to beat? Hopefully we'll have answers to these questions soon.
Lots to discuss once again. We reach the top of the Tokyo Metropolitan Office and find Leopardmon charging his energy. However... we also find... you guessed it... Arata/Sasuke. Who states he's going to 'eat' Leopardmon once he's done charging. Or... not? He was actually waiting for us? Make up your mind man... He goes on about leaving Yuugo to get eaten and not being able to protect us despite his claims 8 years ago but now he has the power to do so now. Um... YOU WERE A KID. *sighs* Well... Arata/Sasuke is set in his ways. Clearly. He walks through some weird wall-thing... and... becomes a full-on Eater. Well then... This was inevitable. Just like Naruto vs Sasuke. So yes. We fight him. To be completely honest... this wasn't overly difficult. I'm starting to think it really is because I have better high-leveled Digimon as well as Megas. I only had to do some item abuse. But I beat him in the end. He struggles with the result... but we have to rescue him. Kyoko/Alphamon reassures us that he'll listen to us because we're his friend. So we do the same thing we did with Yuuko. We Connect Jump into him to rescue him. To be honest... Arata just kind of ranted on and on about crap that wasn't his fault. So when we reach the end... we actually end up doing exactly what Nokia suggested us to do. By that... I mean we literally punch him in the face. Arata returns to normal and he yells at us. This eventually leads to a punch-in-the-face contest between the main character and Arata. Which, somehow, gets him to finally realize his stupidity. Is this how Naruto and Sasuke settle their differences as well? It'd be funny if it was. Either way enter Nokia and Leopardmon's energy being sucked away from him. But she just showed up. She could have just called us. Which was because she ran out of the strategy meeting so fast. This causes a laughing fit from Arata that could rival Yukiko's laughing fits from Persona 4. All's well that ends well until Leopardmon snaps out of it and is shocked at what's going on. He confronts us and we confront him. Kyoko introduces herself as Alphamon, which Omnimon reveals as the legendary 13th Royal Knight. Leopardmon is annoyed that he has shown up, and as an enemy and argues that it is King Drasil's will that humanity be destroyed for our actions and for creating the Eaters and the current destructive state of the Digital World. However Alphamon argues that humanity's errors is just one aspect, as they have shown growth as well. For whatever idiotic reason, Leopardmon seems to think that King Drasil's true will is whoever ends up winning between them. I agree Alphamon. He's a fool. But since he wants to be a fool I guess we'll oblige him. This fight wasn't overly difficult either. Sort of. I had to revive some Digimon a couple times but it wasn't like they kept dying. The end result was still victory. Then... Leopardmon loses his damn mind. He now thinks that King Drasil's will is destruction for both the human and Digital Worlds before being destroyed. Someone needs to go to a mental institute... With all the Royal Knights out of our way. We have to stop the Eaters. But how? Arata suggests help from 'you know who' OH GOD DAMMIT. NOT HIM AGAIN. Yep. Suedou. How long has this *squee!* been here? Seriously? Either way Arata tells him he's done buying into his crap which Suedou accepts a little too easily. He wouldn't have shown up if he didn't have a way to resolve all of this. Which apparently he does. The Digital Line from Leopardmon is already set and he suggests using it to open the Dimensional Door and putting all the Eaters back into the Digital World. Omnimon states the obvious of that dooming the Digital World and that not being the answer. However... Suedou reveals that Eaters have a 'main core' as well. Called... what else? The Mother Eater. If the Mother Eater is destroyed, all Eaters will follow suit. It seems to be located at the core of the Digital World. In King Drasil apparently. Which Suedou seems to think is why the Royal Knights were fighting among one another. I hate it when this jerk actually makes sense. But why can't we just go there? King Drasil's core security system is effectively down. If we go, we'll be treated as nothing but bugs as it can't detect friend from foe. Which is why the Eaters need to be sent first with some sort of program that Suedou put into them. There's one other thing that needs to be done as well apparently. The rescue of Yuugo Kamishiro's mental data which is apparently inside the Mother Eater itself. Suedou theorizes that Eaters were never meant to eat human mental data, but when Yuugo's was consumed it changed their dietary habits and made them evolve to their current state. So, because of that evolution, Yuugo's mental data is being harshly protected by the Mother Eater. If we take out his mental data... it'll... TURN BACK TIME?! He's joking... right? Apparently not. Eaters have no concept of anything, including time, but they can remember things. Which is why we were able to witness what happened to Arata, Yuuko, Nokia, Yuugo, and the main character 8 years ago in EDEN. Which was taken from Eater memories by Crusadermon. Due to that, take out Yuugo's mental data, and it'll be as if what happened 8 years ago never happened and the future will be completely different. Why do games do crap like this? Where all this stuff happens, then they time-paradox it to where it never happened? This seems to happen a lot now... Either way this seems to be the only choice. Which means we have to use our Connect Jump ability like we did with Yuuko and Arata. Suedou only requests that the Royal Knights hold the Dimensional Door open from the inside. Which is agreed by Magnamon, Jesmon, Kentaurosmon, and UlforceVeedramon. How does Suedou know all of this though? Apparently, according to him anyway, it's because he's affiliated with the Eaters. Or rather, has special access to their network. That... actually explains quite a lot. Either way it's truly ENDGAME now. Suedou heads out to the Digital World. We're allowed to do anything else that we want to do before finishing all of this once and for all. Which you know I'm going to do as preparation. Next time: We finish off any left over cases before confronting the Mother Eater. Although... I SWEAR TO GOD IF SUEDOU BETRAYS US HE'S GOING TO GET A WORSE COMEUPPANCE THAN CRUSADERMON GOT. I guess I'd better prepare to give him that comeuppance huh? Because I'm pretty sure he's going to betray us.
To be completely honest... I don't have much to talk about but I also don't want to have too much to talk about either. So this will be a short one. After exploring the Tokyo Metropolitan Office for awhile... we come across Dynasmon. Somehow... I'm not surprised. Either way... he doesn't really say much. He clearly is set in his path and he's determined to see his path to the end. He seems to think a fight will determine who's right and who's wrong. Well... fine then. This fight... was actually shockingly easy. I don't know if it was because I'm finally at decent levels, the fact that I have Megas now, or what. Although admittedly, he did manage to KO one of my Digimon. But it didn't take me very long to take him out. As he disappears... he claims that being martyred for his cause is the best way to go out. So... you're a terrorist? I... see... Either way he's done for. There's only one Royal Knight left in our path and we all know who it is. He's next. Unless something else ends up happening of course. Something else is going to happen... isn't it? Next time: So... what's going to impede our path to beating down Leopardmon?
Random cases come first. Besides, I'm starting to accrue Megas at long last and they need leveling up to decent levels so hopefully future bosses won't be so ridiculous. Though I'm sure they'll still be ridiculous in their own ways. Either way the first thing we end up doing is a huge fan of a singer that apparently isn't well known wants our help to get a signed CD from her and in order to do that we have to participate in some sort of event involving Digimon and the fan doesn't know much about Digimon. Seems like cheating, but we agree either way. Basically we have to roam around getting stamps from various Digimon and we need 5 stamps in order to get the signed CD from the artist herself. We get the first from a Tanemon relatively easily. But the second one with a Tokomon forces us to fight a hacker who seems to think the Tokomon is without a master. It was a somewhat annoying fight, but, Yuuko and Kyoko (Alphamon) were still following us around and we're guest battlers so they somewhat helped. It still ended up being a lengthy battle though but I came out victorious anyway. After that strangeness we continue getting stamps. We get the next stamps from Bukamon and Nyaromon also pretty easily. But the final stamp with a Yokomon has us having to rescue it from being eaten by a Vegiemon. This was much simpler at least. We win easily again. With all stamps gathered we receive our prize. Until our client steps in to receive it. The artist points out the obvious of it cheating but the fan really wanted to meet her. So, his enthusiasm seems to win her out and he receives his precious signed CD. Thankfully, this weirdness ends afterwards. Next up, a Taomon wants our help discovering who's creeping her out and stalking her. Stalkers are never good so of course we help out. It turns out to be a WarGreymon who claims he can use black magic. Delusions aside we're forced to fight him. We find ourselves in another lengthy battle but I still come out victorious. It turns out the WarGreymon was actually a 'fan' of Taomon's and admired him for his abilities and wanted to become a BlackWarGreymon so he could have the same abilities. When we report this to Taomon, they just laugh. Well... I guess it is a little... bizarre. Either way the case is complete afterwards. Next... we head to the Tokyo Metropolitan Office to confront Leopardmon. There's an intense battle being fought there between Digimon and humans but Magnamon and UlforceVeedramon seem to be attempting to keep it from spreading too much. Not good. We need to stop all this and quickly. We then begin the long process of exploring the Tokyo Metropolitan Office and it's various floors. It's going to take some time before anything of interest happens though. Due to this, that's all I was able to do. Next time: What will we find in the Tokyo Metropolitan Office? Obviously Leopardmon, but, will we find something else as well? Hmm...
Yes, I stole that from Persona 4. Either way there was A LOT of shocking information revealed. So let's get started. Nokia and Yuuko head out to this 'Beginning of EDEN' area that the main character somehow got trapped in. Apparently this area was how EDEN looked, or was supposed to originally look, before all the updates occurred. It was basically Kowloon Lv. 1 except... lighter I guess? Either way Nokia gains temporary access to the DigiLab with the main character MIA and they explore the area. Until... they find the main character that changes into a child-like version of themselves. Then... they encounter their younger child-like selves. This outright confirms it. The 5 children that participated in the beta test for EDEN 8 years ago was indeed Yuuko, Yuugo, Arata, Nokia, and the main character. They all knew each other as kids but somehow forgot all of this. Due to Suedou thinking he's Marluxia. Either way a strange light appears and a voice states that the 'truth' lies beyond it. The voice... turns out to be the ghostly image of Yuugo of course. Yuuko and Yuugo have a somewhat tearful reunion... Yuugo then pretty much reveals that him and the Eaters are similar. Which is why his image always appears when Eaters are around. He can't live without the Eaters and the Eaters can't live without him. His data is in some unknown location inside the Digital World itself but he refuses to reveal whereas he doesn't want Yuuko getting into any more danger that she's already gotten into. But this won't stop Yuuko from wanting the truth. As well as Nokia. Their determination doesn't surprise Yuugo and he wishes them luck. Here's what basically happened. 8 years ago Yuuko, Yuugo, Arata, Nokia and the main character participated in the EDEN beta test. A glitch occurred and they were able to visit the Digital World itself. Once inside they met some Digimon. Nokia met Agumon and Gabumon there as well. Which explains why Nokia was so familiar to them at the beginning of the game. However, they didn't spend a lot of time in the Digital World as child Arata knew the adults would worry if they took to long. Not surprisingly things take a turn after this. Their path back is blocked by an Eater. Yuugo distracts it so the others can leave. Everyone screams for Yuugo to follow but he is unable to. Yuugo... is consumed by the Eater. Arata is convinced that Yuugo is fine because it's only cyberspace. Yeah... about that... It looks like yes, we brought the Eaters to the Digital World and caused all the calamity that is currently occurring. Well... crap. But... they were only children. It's not like they did some summoning ritual or anything... But it's shocking nonetheless and Crusadermon mocks them after they know the truth. Eaters surround Nokia and Yuuko and it truly looks like Game Over. However... Kyoko takes action at long last and somehow uses her car to transport herself to their current location in an anime cutscene. Then... SHE FREAKING TRANSFORMS INTO A DIGIMON. SPECIFICALLY, ALPHAMON. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?! Not surprisingly this shocks everyone as to how they got to their new location. The main character is found as well. Crusadermon is shocked and 'Alphamon' just calls themself a detective. This quickly turns into them finding out that the Digimon is Kyoko. Shocking them to say the least. Crusadermon is furious about this Digimon helping humans but Alphamon simply states that humans make errors just like Digimon do and humans and Digimon are similar. Which, of course, Crusadermon refuses to believe and accept. Alphamon asks for assistance from the main character and we're back in action soon afterwards. Alphamon helps us out in the battle and eventually Crusadermon realizes that the mystery Digimon must be a Royal Knight due to its strength, making it even angrier. However, Yuuko steps up and wants revenge for her father and Alphamon allows it. We then take on Crusadermon one last time. This fight was certainly the hardest Crusadermon fight as she kept knocking out a Digimon. But item abuse and persistency always wins the day and I eventually come out victorious. Finally, at long last... Crusadermon falls. COMEUPPANCE DELIVERED. She imitates Rie Kishibe as she dies. You’re not fooling anyone. Of course Yuuko still insulted her as she died. YOU GO GIRL. She also reveals what Leopardmon's plan is. Which is basically to use her Digital Line that she used for the Paradise Lost plan to digivolve and make himself strong enough to take out the humans and the Eaters in one fell swoop. Well crap. We need to stop that. We head back to the agency to strategize. But we get some more answers before that. Specifically, why Kyoko is a Digimon on the inside, specifically Alphamon. Apparently, Kyoko Kuremi was hired by Yuuko's father to investigate his own company for illegal activities. She was contacted by a whistleblower to come to a specific area alone. Which turned out to be a trap set by Rie Kishibe. However, all of that was a trap set by Akemi Suedou. Eaters surrounded the two and they got consumed and fell to EDEN Syndrome. So how is Kyoko walking around? Alphamon was investigating everything that happened and why the Eaters appeared. Despite the fact that it was caused by Yuuko, Yuugo, Arata, Nokia, and the main character the fact of the matter was that they were only children at the time. He knew that the answers were located in another Digital World created by humans. EDEN. But the only way to get there was through a small gap that was only big enough to fit an in-training Digimon. As he made his way through he found Kyoko and was running low on energy. Her mental data was gone and he discovered that he could control Kyoko by mixing his mental data with her. So that's what he did. But it was a risk. If the match wasn't perfect, something catastrophic would have happened. Yet it didn't. Which made Alphamon think that he was destined to find Kyoko as his sense of justice matched perfectly with Kyoko's logical thinking and sense of duty as well. Crusadermon did something similar with Rie Kishibe. Yet Alphamon is still helping out despite everything. But, according to him anyway, it's only to fulfill his role in all of this. Well hidden indeed. It even fooled Omnimon. Us as well too. But now we need to stop Leopardmon. In order to do that, we're going to do something similar to what we did to rescue Yuuko. Hackers will go to all the EDEN spots and instead of Digital Waves being sent out, they will be absorbed, which should make Leopardmon's strength be absorbed and shrunk as well. The only person who can do this is, believe it or not, Nokia. She doubts herself but Omnimon reassures her and reminds her that she always says that it'll work out. Which she agrees. But this time... Nokia says she'll MAKE it work out. Well then... So with a plan we all head out to fulfill our roles. Next time: Can we stop Leopardmon? Well if we don't... it really IS Game Over...
We help out Dr. Datamon some more. Well... sort of. It's possible to avoid battles in this case by giving the Digimon the proper medicine which corresponds to what type of Digimon they are. However... I needed more experience because I'm still without any Megas. So... yeah... I may have given the Digimon the wrong medicine on purpose so I could fight them. Actually... that's exactly what I did. There were 4. But you fight them one at a time obviously. Megadramon, MegaKabuterimon, Paildramon, and Meteormon. The fights weren't overly difficult honestly. Once we report back to Datamon, he reveals that he wasn't the one that made the medicine, it was someone else. Well then... He states that he'll make the medicine better and requests more assistance in the future and the case comes to a close. Then... we meet up with Yuuko in Akihabara to finally confront Crusadermon. We enter the Akihabara Digital Shift. As with all other Digital Shift we have to do more fighting to be able to unlock the path to the jerk in question (Crusadermon). The first fight was against 2 MetalTyrannomon. Which ended up being relatively easy. The next fight was against 2 Vademon and an Ebemon. I was somewhat worried about this fight honestly considering how the other Ebemon fight went. But this was considerably easier and victory was achieved relatively easily. Then... at long last... TIME FOR COMEUPPANCE. But before we fight Crusadermon... she states that Rie Kishibe's emotions somewhat got the best of her and made her kill Yuuko's father. But it didn't bother her. THAT STILL MAKES YOU A MURDERER. She also reveals some shocking information. Apparently 8 years ago... Arata, Nokia, Yuuko, Yuugo, and us (the main character) came to the Digital World and, according to Crusadermon anyway, caused some sort of calamity to occur. I would like some proof please. But she provides none. So yeah no proof means I don't believe you. But Yuuko realizes that the children that participated in the early beta test was us. Which was also around the same time her brother got EDEN Syndrome. It also seems like our memories got stolen away just like Yamashina's did. Crusadermon doesn't seem to care about the past though and only wants the humans to pay for what we apparently 'did.' FIGHT TIME This fight... was shockingly easy. Why am I getting a bad feeling now...? As we leave... the digital shift becomes dark and we can't seem to leave. Until we come across a strange area and run into a bunch of small children. Wait a minute... Yep. It seems we've somehow come across EDEN 8 years ago. But how? Things... get pretty bad though. Our main character loses their mind pretty much and wants to stay with these children forever. GOD DAMMIT. YOU WERE SO AWESOME UNTIL NOW. So... yeah... the main character has disappeared yet again. But it's different this time according to Kyoko. Our Digivice was left behind. Not only that... it was a clever well-devised trap made by Crusadermon in an attempt to get rid of us and Yuuko. But only the main character actually fell into it. THIS JERK JUST PISSES ME OFF MORE AND MORE. So now... it's up to Nokia and Yuuko to save him. WELP WE'RE SCREWED. GAME OVER. Just kidding. Hopefully anyway. Nokia is given temporary ownership of the main character's Digimon as they trust Nokia the most and obviously want to rescue the main character as well. Nokia and Yuuko are determined to help get us back as well. The main character's Digimon will have to do. Having Omnimon would be nice but Nokia can't have two EDEN accounts at once. So now we're playing as Nokia. Next time: Nokia and Yuuko head out to rescue the main character. Can they do it? We'd better hope so... Also... I'M GOING TO FINISH YOU OFF ONCE AND FOR ALL CRUSADERMON.
We head back to Odaiba and make our way back to Examon. Not surprisingly, as expected honestly, we find Arata/Sasuke there. We're saddened to see him in that state. But words don't seem to get through to him... Arata/Sasuke even seems to realize what we're thinking. But he just doesn't seem to care. According to him, he needs this 'power' to protect something that he was unable to protect a long time ago. He at least is aware that Suedou may be just using him, however, he says the analytical ones can contemplate that. He just wants more and more power and wants to 'eat' more and more and more. Yep... Arata's Sasuke now. As well as an Eater. Either way we eventually fight Examon with help from Arata. Not from his Digimon, Arata himself. Honestly... I don't know if it was because we 'weakened' Examon or whatever, but it wasn't really that difficult of a battle. I won relatively easily with only some item abuse. Still though... I wish Arata would stop being Sasuke... But he just won't. He states he's not planning anything 'terrible' he just wants more and more power. You're completely missing the point here man... Arata then states that us and him used to get along so well. Looks like he's threatening us now to be our enemy. God dammit... *sighs* Well... I guess we'll worry about that when the time comes. Arata leaves by using his new superhuman buildings to jump from building to building. We report back to Kyoko who praises us for a job well done and just suggests us to use our normal 'surprise lunge' attack on Arata. Um... I'm not sure what you mean by this but okay? We get a call from Yuuko who seems to have tracked Crusadermon down. With help from Kamishiro she detected a signature in a Digital Wave that matched Crusadermon's signature. In the Akihabara Digital Shift. So... she requests us to meet her there. AT LONG LAST. THE COMEUPPANCE WE'VE ALL BE WAITING FOR. But we do the side cases first. The first one being... babysitting. An Impmon. That we end up having to 'battle' to play with him. Not difficult really. Until his real babysitter, a Cyberdramon, shows up and Impmon cries about us trying to kidnap him. YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. So of course we're forced to fight the Cyberdramon as well. Even though it was a lengthy, somewhat annoying battle, we were able to come out victorious. Impmon then laughs about tricking Cyberdramon, who gets annoyed and keeps hitting Impmon and scolding him until he apologizes. Impmon just wanted to give Cyberdramon a break though from constantly having to babysit him. He had the right mindset, but just implemented it incorrectly. Either way this case is completed. Looks like we'll be helping out Dr. Datamon again next. Next time: Dr. Datamon returns, and Crusadermon is about to get a LARGE DOSE OF COMEUPPANCE.
