  1. So the occult club lends us a helping hand as we investigate the weird rumors circulating around Nakano Broadway.

We go floor to floor investigating but basically find nothing, disappointing the occult club.

We regroup in the K-Cafe, and, all of a sudden, we start experiencing all of the rumors we've been hearing at once.

Unfortunately, although not surprisingly... it turns out to just be an old man that keeps coming into the K-Cafe really early. This seems to be a recurring theme when it comes to 'occult' rumors. It just turns out to not be supernatural at all.

However, after we complete the case... we see a weird scene where the old man doesn't know why he keeps coming to the K-Cafe so early.

Then... Pete disappears. We find him on the third floor of Nakano but he disappears again saying he doesn't want to remember who he is...

Oh man... looks like we're going to be getting the truth about him at long last...

The old man from before wants our help finding his lost cat called 'Miko.' Could it be...? o_O

Pete makes his appearance and the old man calls him Miko. I think we just got our answer...

Either way we chase after Pete/Miko.

We explore two different dungeons to find Pete as he continues to say that he just wants things to remain how they are and he doesn't want to remember...

I want to oblige him but... didn't he want to remember who he was in the first place when we first found him? Seems contradictory... :dunno:

We make our way through the first dungeon (Connect Jump dungeon) and make it to another Digital Space dungeon and explore it as well.

Throughout the area we find various data files containing two types of information. Information on the construction of Nakano Broadway... and well as what basically seems like a 'journal' that Pete/Miko wrote.

This was actually quite saddening and it logged everything that happened to Pete/Miko. From his happy days with his owner 'Yo****o' and how he was always nice to him and talked to him about things like that singer he really liked (which explains why Pete/Miko was in that form when we first met him) all the way until Pete/Miko got locked up behind the wall. The feels man... The feels...

Eventually... we confront Pete... who asks us who he is...

No choice... it's sad... and I want him to stay... but... we tell him the truth. He remembers afterwards. Obviously, the old man from the previous case that asked for our help with this case is indeed, in fact, Yo****o. They have a tearful reunion...

It's sad to see Pete go... but... to be honest... I had a feeling something like this would happen sooner or later. However, something is still bothering Kyoko. If the old man kept coming in early... how was he getting in the building? There should have been some sort of report or something. WAIT A MINUTE... o_O

Well... either way... the voice of Pete comes in telling us not to go looking for them. So we leave it at that. Nakano really does bring all kinds of different things together it seems.

With that the case is complete and it's just us and Kyoko once again.

However, we get a called from Sasuke, I mean Arata, who wants us to help Suedou now that Examon is weakened and warns us to tell no one, including Kyoko and to come to Odaiba alone. BECAUSE THIS ISN'T DANGEROUS AT ALL OR ANYTHING. ::S:

Well... since we're a de-facto Naruto now, we might as well. In hopes of 'rescuing' him at least. Which we'll attempt to do next time.

    Next time:

Examon Round 2 with Sasuke/Arata. Will it go better this time? I'm guessing yes, but what exactly is Sasuke/Arata planning to do now?
  2. We head through Odaiba to try to stop Examon from practically destroying EVERYTHING. Unfortunately... as expected... we find Crusadermon as well. OH GOODIE.

The confrontation doesn't really reveal much new information. Crusadermon just basically goes on and on about how we are 'reaping what we've sown' with what happened in EDEN that created the Eaters and our destruction is our fault and our fault alone. BECAUSE WE TOTALLY CREATED THE EATERS ON PURPOSE. Whatever. :pff:

However... Crusadermon does reveal one thing. Apparently... she states that she rid the world of the creator of EDEN. Basically admitting that Yuuko's father didn't commit suicide. He was killed. As in murdered. By her. You know... I should act surprised here... but somehow I'm not. Still though... TIME TO GIVE HER THE JUST DESSERTS SHE DESERVES.

Yuuko is shocked and angry about this understandably so. However... Examon's data is being eaten away to the point that Crusadermon is controlling him like an Eater. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT YOU HUH?!

Magnamon, Jesmon, Gallantmon, UlforceVeedramon, and Omnimon of course appear. We take on Examon with assistance from Magnamon and Gallantmon. Only a few turns passed for the fight and it was force-ended claiming that Examon was too strong. Well... it didn't really let me fight it... so I just don't know... :dunno:

Things go from bad to worse however when Sasuke, I mean Arata, appears and he surprise attacks Gallantmon and FREAKING ABSORBS HIM. Wow. You've become quite the jerkass haven't you? :sigh:

Everyone understandably freaks out. Even Nokia, unsure why all of this is happening. I've been wondering that too honestly... but this was a failure so we're forced to regroup at the agency with everyone quite depressed, It seems like we're screwed... :(

Until Kyoko, being the awesome person that she is, gives us new hope. Crusadermon is controlling Examon via a Digital Line with a Digital Wave and if we can disrupt that we can weaken Examon and also stop Crusadermon's control. The place where the Digital Line seems to be located is in Kowloon. The only area left we've yet to explore. Kowloon Level 5. It's also likely being guarded by Crusadermon herself. Yuuko wants to jump into action, and even though Kyoko wants to do more planning, she realizes that stopping Yuuko is impossible, so she instructs us to go with her to stop the Digital Line in Kowloon Level 5. Well... we certainly have to try something that's for sure. :dunno:

However... it's like Yuuko is a completely different person now. She's really angry and rushing into things. Although, to be completely honest, it is somewhat understandable after what she just found out. She was actually being quite the jerk... o_O

Out path is blocked though. Until... OH GOD. NOT THIS *squee!* AGAIN. You guessed it. Suedou has made his reappearance. :sigh:

We prepare for a confrontation because of what he did. Although this jerk just claims he 'helped' Arata by giving him an 'addition' and suggesting he merge with an Eater. Basically claiming that he helped Arata 'evolve' into a better human being. I WANT TO KICK THIS GUYS ASS SO BAD. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. ALL YOU DID WAS MAKE HIM SASUKE UCHIHA MAKING YOU A DE-FACTO OROCHIMARU/MADARA.

However... it looks like that won't be happening. He reveals that he didn't know that Rie was actually Crusadermon, but did seem to realize that her psyche wasn't human. YET LIKE THE JERK HE IS HE DID NOTHING.

He then claims he no longer is on the side of Crusadermon as he and her have two completely different motives. She wants to destroy the world, whereas he just wants to help it, and humans, evolve and evolve into better beings. He then offers... a partnership with us. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!

But... we can't get through... and Yuuko states that even though it's not ideal... it's better to try to deal with him than Crusadermon. 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' I suppose? :dunno:

So we reluctantly agree to act as his 'bodyguards' and head through Kowloon Level 5 and it's various annoying traps throughout the area. :sigh:

Suedou states that there is a large energy mass in the area, but can't tell if it's Crusadermon. However, it appears to be a Royal Knight. Hmm... o_O

After the long trek we make it to where the Digital Line is and come across... Craniamon. OF COURSE. THIS JERK.

Suedou, being the weird ass that he is, then tries to get Craniamon to join him as well to help evolve the human race, as he seems to think if that occurs, they can live side by side with Digimon without issue. However, Craniamon states that nothing Suedou said makes any sense. Wow. I never thought I'd actually agree with a Royal Knight...

Either way Craniamon also states it would go against King Drasil's will. Suedou insults Craniamon by stating he doesn't have 'free will' which only seems to anger Craniamon as he prepares to attack. GOOD JOB. :sigh:

Suedou hides behind us and the battle commences. Well... we we're going to have to fight this jerk anyway... :pff:

It was a lengthy battle but it wasn't too ridiculous. I did have to use a chunk of items though. But I won't without too many issues. Suedou gets rid of the Digital Line and states Examon should be weak now. Before we can get anything out from him, he leaves only stating that we'll meet each other again. YEAH AND WHEN WE DO. I'M KICKING YOUR ASS.

We return to the agency to report and Yuuko apologies for her actions and all the bad stuff she said. Honestly... she doesn't need to apologize. It was an understandable reaction. However, it's going to take some time for Examon to weaken, so Kyoko suggests do more cases in the meantime.

A bulletin board has appeared in Nakano and we check it only to discover that the occult club put something on there about a bunch of weird rumors and our agency being blamed. Welp... looks like we have to clear our name... AGAIN...

That was all I did this time however.

    Next time:

We do more cases to allow Examon to weaken. Looks like we have to clear our Detective Agencies name for the umpteenth time. :dunno:
  3. We're back in action with this. Because, like I already said, you can't get rid of me. EVER. ::S:

Either way... we continue the weird DLC case involving the Digimon Festival.

We end up getting confronted by a Leomon who wants revenge for what we did to BanchoLeomon with Hackmon. Wait... I thought this was supposed to be fake...? o_O

Either way we take him down and the 'Princess' says his heart was overtaken by darkness, which leads to a bunch of different types of Numemon showing up calling themselves 'Shoguns.' Right... :DFH:

To be completely honest... these multiple bosses in a row had me concerned because I couldn't prepare or heal between them.

Also... Yuuko got dragged into this as well to play a Beelzemon because they couldn't get the real thing.

Either way the next fight was with 3 Numemon's. A regular Numemon, a ShellNumemon, and a BlackKingNumemon. Even though it was a lengthy battle I still came out victorious. Until two more Numemon's attacked me. This is getting annoying now...

The worst part was this next battle was quite ridiculous. Not so much 'hard' per se... just... it took a REALLY long time for me to win. It was against a GoldNumemon and a PlatinumNumemon. As I stated, ridiculous battle that was VERY lengthy and I had to item abuse a lot. I somehow still came out victorious though. :dunno:

But things weren't getting any better. The Digimon kept claiming I had to defeat more and more and more enemies. UGH. So what do we do? We make a run for it of course. :derp:

Nokia and the other Digimon run after us but it's all good as the case ends afterwards despite the fact that it stated it made us stay until we defeated some 'Dark Lord' even though we didn't actually have a battle.

Well... all's well that ends well I guess. :dunno:

Time to move on to more important matters though. Like going to Odaiba to confront Examon. Kyoko informs us the the Eater is trying to eat away at Examon enough for Examon to be controlled. If this one gets controlled by Suedou... yeah... we're screwed... :sigh:

I guess we better try to stop it from happening then. But can we? It's likely Crusadermon is around too plus there's the fact that apparently Examon is the physically strongest of the Royal Knights.

Something tells me this won't end well... we'll see though... :pff:

    Next time:

We confront Examon and try to find a way to prevent him from being controlled. Can we do it? :dunno:
  4. So this particular BanchoLeomon likes to brag to much apparently. Plus, according to our client Betamon, he goes on for way to long with long-winded stories. He claims that lots of Digimon have the title of 'Bancho' but he's really the only one with it. When that is pointed out, he gets angry and attacks us for 'making fun of him.'

Even though this fight wasn't as ridiculous as the other BanchoLeomon fight was, it was still somewhat annoying. I was still able to come out victorious though.

He promises to quit bragging but the Betamon actually says it likes BanchoLeomon's stories but to try to make them shorter. All in all, this case is completed afterwards.

Next up a Growlmon wants our help making... ramen apparently. Who knew Digimon were cooks? It's apparently for its master that doesn't seem to be eating very well or at all. We have to obtain a bone from an Ogremon for some reason for the ramen so we go looking for one. Luckily, we find one in the same area as Growlmon.

Even though the Growlmon is the Ogremon's friend, he got his bone from a SkullGreymon he defeated and won't hand it over easily. At least not without a battle. This one was a little lengthier. But all I really had to do was use my trusty BlackKingNumemon to inflict Dot on him and it became simple after that. We get to borrow the bone afterwards.

We give it to Growlmon and it makes the ramen and gives it to us to give to its master. Growlmon won't do it itself because it's the first gift it's given to its master. Maybe he's just embarrassed? :dunno:

Either way we give the ramen to a woman in EDEN who claims she's on a diet which is why she isn't eating. However, the delicious aroma of the ramen eventually makes her succumb and eat them. We find Growlmon watching behind us who thanks us for the help completing the case.

Next up we're back at the hospital in another Digital Dungeon helping a Datamon create medicine to help Digimon. It's good to know that not all Datamon are jerks. Just... some I guess? :pff:

We're able to find some medicine but one of the things we need is from a PlatinumSukamon that we have to defeat to get. Out of pure luck I'm sure, I encounter one relatively quickly and am able to give everything to 'Dr. Datamon' for his medicine with which he claims he'll get started on right away. Case complete I suppose. Simple really.

At long last, we're finally able to see what this 'Digimon Festival' is all about. It's apparently being held in the Ueno Digital Shift by a Tentomon that talks somewhat similar to the 'Azumanga Tentomon' from before but it's probably not the same one? :dunno:

Either way apparently we're the 'guests of honor' for this festival. Because of the fact that we've been listening to and helping out Digimon. Plus, the fact that we hang out with Royal Knights helps to. Well... those guys are kind of jerks... but... sure, okay? o_O

Either way Kyoko says it may give the agency exposure and more clients so we go. See? Digimon are awesome.

Anyway when we arrive some of the Digimon say something about 'fighting' us. OH GREAT. Yeah... it turns out the Tentomon wants to hold a 'Battle Royale' type event to help the Digimon get stronger as well as the other Digimon wanting to see our strength. You know... at this point... I'm just not surprised anymore. But might as well since clearly there's no choice anyway.

But the Tentomon makes weird narrations at the start of the first battle saying that we were in the 'Magical Land of U'Eno' and that we were confronted by evil Digimon. These 'evil' Digimon being Kuwagamon and Bakemon and eventually a Patamon. Yeah you don't pull off 'evil' well Patamon. :derp:

Either way we fight the three and even though I wasn't able to prepare for it and had to switch Digimon around in battle making it somewhat lengthy I still came out victorious.

Enter this so-called Princess thanking our help. IT'S FREAKING NOKIA?! OH YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. :sigh:

Yeah... looks like she agreed to help with this as well to play the 'Princess' part. Boy... I bet that just made her all giddy. Which it clearly did. She goes back into character after explaining her participation as the 'Princess' in this.

That was all I was able to do though.

    Next time:

This is going on hiatus for obvious reasons. Quite the long hiatus possibly. But hopefully I'll be back and when I do... will we save the 'Magical Land of U'Eno?' Well... I guess you'll just have to wait and see.
  5. We continue exploring the parallel world Shinjuku Digital Shift with Rina and defeat a Gigadramon to unlock the path to Barbamon.

Confrontation time. We take on Barbamon. But not before Rina actually physically attacks Barbamon with a jump kick.

Was it ridiculous? Actually... no. Not really. It was actually relatively simple. I win somewhat easily.

Veemon gets its power back and becomes UlforceVeedramon. This duo is quite the hilarious combo honestly. :derp:

Either way we explain the situation and UlforceVeedramon agrees to help and it and Rina have a tearful farewell...

Or... not? When we return to our world Rina apparently came with us because where Veevee goes she goes. Well then...

With UlforceVeedramon's help we confront Kentaurosmon. Whose instinct keeps telling him to destroy and break things and he claims this is coming from humans. I fail to see your proof here. Either way Rina tries to do her best to calm him down to little avail so the fight begins.

It was a harsh battle but I was able to come out victorious.

Afterwards, Rina tries to get Kentaurosmon to come with her so he can see the good side of humans because it seems like he's seen nothing but the bad side. He can clear up his mind and possibly the misunderstanding. Okay? :dunno:

Meh. This Kentaurosmon seems to be a jerk anyway. We don't need him. Either way we've gotten some Royal Knight help at least. We get a call from Date stating that another Eater/monster has appeared in Asakusa so we go there to get rid of it. We still have to use Stealth Hide though to get past the Defense Forces.

We also explore the newly reformed, I guess, Asakusa Digital Shift. As we explore it we have to defeat a Panjyamon and a Chirinmon to be able to unlock more of the area. Luckily those fights were relatively simple and we're able to do so.

Further in we find... Sasuke. I mean Arata. He helps us out as we take on another Humanoid Eater. I tried to prepare accordingly and bring my better Digimon/Ultimates.

The Eater was a jerk so I had to restart and equip Dot-preventing equipment but I did so and came out victorious. That's when... Arata... absorbed the Eater and obtained an Eater arm and claimed that this was his new 'power' that Suedou gave him. Do I really need to say anything else now? He's LITERALLY Sasuke Uchiha now. :sigh:

Except the difference is that he becomes a freak and keeps ranting about needing to 'eat' more and more. Gallantmon then shows up to confront Arata and what he's become. We try to stop him but he says our emotions are getting the better of us as Arata continues to fall into darkness. More Kingdom Hearts material eh? ::S:

So... Gallantmon fights Arata. I'm not joking here. He actually fights him. Like... the human... whatever Arata is now. Which ends as quickly as it begins with Arata stating that he's not strong enough to defeat Gallantmon even though in the fight Gallantmon kept missing. Either way Arata runs away. Saddening... :(

Nokia needs to talk with us but quickly realizes something is wrong. Either way the chapter comes to an end and the next one starts in K-Cafe with what is basically a 'strategy' meeting.

We've managed to convince some Royal Knights to help us out (though I still feel that's a little shaky at best) but the rest will not be convinced according to Omnimon. Those being, of course, Leopardmon, Examon, Dynasmon, Crusadermon and Craniamon.

Examon is going wild in Odaiba and is the strongest of the Royal Knights in terms of pure strength. Yuuko seems to think that Crusadermon is there as well because she detected Rie's presence in Odaiba. Looks like what we have to do is pretty clear. We have to go to Odaiba and stop Crusadermon from doing... whatever it is she's going to do... with Examon. Odaiba is going to become a large battlefield basically. Oh goodie.

We also inform everyone the situation with Arata which shocks everyone to say the least. Nokia seems to think that if we all punch him though, he'll come to. I don't think that'll work Nokia, but I appreciate you trying to lighten the mood. Her plan for Examon is just another 'spur of the moment whatever we feel like doing' plan as well. I suppose trying to think up a plan isn't exactly her forte but it's better than trying to come up with something and having it all ruined by the Royal Knight jerks.

Either way we do some side stuff first as de-facto 'preparation.' We hear about some kind of festival for Digimon from a Biyomon and Bukamon in Kowloon. This is apparently another DLC case. However, the first case we do involves a young girl wanting to give a blanket to a blue MetalGreymon that looked cold. So we help her out of course. :smile2:

We 'barter' with the quilt merchant until his mother shows up and practically gives it to us for free. :derp:

We deliver to the blanket to the blue MetalGreymon who gives a music box to us to give to the girl as thanks and we deliver that to the girl as well. Simple case really and kind of sweet.

The next case is slightly more serious. Sort of. Apparently a BanchoLeomon (a different one I'm assuming) is going around bragging and a Betamon wants us to stop it. So we explore another dungeon to do so.

But I didn't do so well against the last BanchoLeomon. Will this go differently? We'll find out I suppose...

    Next time:

Will I do better against this BanchoLeomon? What's this about a Digimon festival? What other side cases will we end up coming across? Answers to these questions and possibly more will come soon.
  6. We explore all of the Ueno Digital Shift and move to confront BanchoLeomon who seems to be beating up Hackmon pretty severely. Yikes.

Hackmon is on the verge of giving up. Until we rush in of course. Which Hackmon is shocked when it told us not to follow it. You didn't really expect us to listen did you? :derp:

BanchoLeomon says something about Hackmon still not understanding while viewing our back and Hackmon, all of a sudden, becomes determined to protect us and all of it's other friends which seems to invigorate it to continue. Either way BanchoLeomon is fought.

It was somewhat easy at first. Until it became another RIDICULOUS fight. It kept killing my Digimon and I kept reviving them and this just repeated ad-nauseam.

*sighs* Somehow it didn't matter though because I came out victorious anyway. BanchoLeomon praised Hackmon for his strength and disappeared. Gankoomon comes in afterwards also saying that Hackmon's determination to protect that which he cares for and to protect his friends is the true strength that he was searching for. Then... Hackmon digivolves into Jesmon. o_O

A new Royal Knight is born apparently. Either way Gankoomon states he has nothing left to teach Jesmon and Jesmon agrees to help us out. As for Gankoomon... apparently all he likes to do is train as it turns out that BanchoLeomon was a friend of Gankoomon that assisted in Hackmon/Jesmon's training and wants to become stronger as well so Gankoomon and BanchoLeomon began training with each other. Well... I guess at least we have some kind of help? Hard to tell Jesmon's loyalties with just this though. :dunno:

Either way we move on and talk with Mirei who reveals that the only way to go to a parallel world is through the creation of a special Digimon using Harmonious Will and Steel Will. Which we ironically just obtained from Magnamon and Hackmon/Jesmon. But the process will take time so we should go do other cases until the Digimon is ready. Little choice I suppose.

We hear rumors of Yuugo being seen again as we roam looking for cases. That... shouldn't be possible...o_O

Either way Yuuko wants to talk with us so we go to her brothers room again and it turns out she wanted a witness for her deleting the Yuugo avatar. As she wanted to remove it because of all the bad things that happened to her and how it reminded her of Rie using her to control the hackers. However... when she tries to delete it. She can't. Which makes her think that the account has been hacked. We inform her of the rumors we heard and she becomes determined to find out who's using her Yuugo avatar and we go searching for it.

We eventually get an invitation from the Yuugo avatar itself to come to the Avalon Server and... hi... Yuugo? o_O

We find out that apparently the one controlling it isn't even human. Apparently it's a human-like AI that was apparently with Yuuko the entire time and was her de-facto 'partner' that allowed her to be Yuugo and basically be a different person altogether. Well then...

But everything that happened during the Under Zero incident still reminds Yuuko of her failures and what Rie did with the Yuugo avatar. Plus, she wants to be able to rely on her own strength and not the avatar's strength anymore. Probably for the best honestly. Either way Yuuko is still determined but the Yuugo AI was created to protect EDEN which was basically the same thing Yuuko wanted to accomplish. We end up getting nowhere with all of this but the Yuugo AI realizes that it and Yuuko are completely different people and we're forced to fight the Yuugo AI.

Even though it was a somewhat annoying battle it wasn't as ridiculous as the BanchoLeomon fight and we eventually come out victorious.

But Yuuko wavers in wanting to delete the avatar and decides to split herself into two in order to protect EDEN so her and the AI can both protect EDEN. With that the Yuugo AI disappears. Sad but... Yuuko has to be her own person. Not her brother after all. ::S:

With this out of the way the case is complete and the Digimon is complete. We get a CG scene where an Angewoman and a LadyDevimon... fuse or something? Mastemon is created and the door to the parallel world opens.

In the parallel world... we meet a hyper energetic girl named Rina Shinomiya who is troubled with her partner Veevee (a Veemon) having it's power's stolen and Veemon wants to go back to get it back. However, Rina tells it to do it itself. Que us coming in through the parallel world portal. This shocks and strangely excites Rina. o_O

Either way Mirei tells us who Rina is and that she can help us in what we want to do. I'm not sure how but we try to explain the situation to Rina. She doesn't seem to understand but at least gets that we want to meet UlforceVeedramon. But, informs us that in order to do that we have to help her get Veemon's power back from a Digimon named BarBar (which is apparently a Digimon named Barbamon and is also apparently a strong Mega Digimon). Rina is expecting us to do most of the work though. Wow. She's really helpful...

Unfortunately there seems to be little choice and we go into the Shinjuku Digital Shift in this parallel world to do so and make our way through it. We take on some Meteormon and defeat them as well.

That's all I did this time though.

    Next time:

We try to defeat Barbamon to get Veemon's power back. But what exactly will this accomplish? Will it really get us help from UlforceVeedramon? Will it be another RIDICULOUS battle? I have a bad feeling honestly.

Well... I guess all I can do is try my best... and hopefully I'll survive... :pff:
  7. We start with Digipedia having problems again. This time someone is filling the pages with nothing but lies and not allowing it to be fixed. So we go in to see what the issue is yet again.

This time it's a MetalEtemon. At least I can understand this guy. But he's aware of what we did to Tentomon but what he's doing is worse. Either way we're forced to fight him to stop him. Despite it being a somewhat annoying battle, we come out victorious and he promises to quit and to make his own blog where he fills it with nothing but lies. I don't really see anyone reading that, but have fun I guess? :dunno:

Either way the case is complete and we move on to the important issue at hand. Trying to convince other Royal Knights to join our cause. I still don't see this going well but there's little choice I suppose. :sigh:

We start in Shibuya but we can't get into the Digital Shift because it's being guarded by the Defense Force. We're left with no alternative but to use our 'Stealth Hide' skill to go invisible and sneak past them.

Afterwards we explore the familiar Digital Shift and gather some items on the way. As we explore more and more of it, we're forced to fight a Crowmon to unlock more of the area which was a relatively simple fight.

We make our way to the end... and...hi Magnamon. Do I have to fight you? I mean... I could I guess... :dunno:

Magnamon doesn't seem to have a clear mind when it comes to the current situation and what to do. The cyberspace that was created by humans was to blame for the creation of the Eaters and many Digimon have been hurt by them. Plus, he's already seen how a few of the hackers have treated Digimon. He hasn't really seen the good. However, he's apparently more concerned with really young friends of his that he got separated from. He reveals his decision on what he will do will depend on their fate. SERIOUSLY?! You're going to possibly KILL ALL OF MANKIND just because of what may or may not have happened to your friends?!

However... Nokia shows up and claims that she has someone that wants to see Magnamon. Specifically the Lopmon and Tokomon that we helped out. It turns out that these two Digimon are actually the Digimon Magnamon was talking about. o_O

They assure Magnamon that they are fine and that they like Nokia. Omnimon also appears to show Magnamon that he is also working with humans to find a resolution and other humans are doing the same. He tells Magnamon that destroying the humans just to save your own world is not the right thing to do. Before Magnamon can say anything though... Dynasmon shows up. WONDERFUL. JUST WONDERFUL.

He tries to get Magnamon to not listen to our words and reminds him of what the Eaters have done to many Digimon and their world. He also tells Magnamon to not go against his Royal Knight duties and King Drasil's will. WHO IS THIS KING ANYWAY?! HE SOUNDS CORRUPTED JUST LIKE THE REST OF YOU JERKS. :pff:

However... Magnamon now feels he has a debt to repay for us taking care of his young friends and wants to repay that debt... by helping us. Even if that means going against King Drasil. Maybe Magnamon is okay? Nah. Still in a gray area. :sigh:

Either way he helps us out as we're forced to fight Dynasmon. This fight was quite annoying but some item abuse and persistency led to victory. Dynasmon says he'll repay this back before leaving. YEAH YOU BETTER RUN.

Magnamon gives us an item as proof of his help and we acquire another Royal Knight as an ally. Yay? :dunno:

Next up we go back to Ueno and try to convince Gankoomon to help us as well. He seems to admire that some humans have fighting spirit. So he'll help us? Apparently not. All he seems to care about is training Hackmon and making him a Royal Knight. Wow. Seriously? o_O

However... he tells us he may help if we fulfill a request of his. Apparently he wants us to help Hackmon and instructs Hackmon to go with us and take on a Digimon called BanchoLeomon. Gankoomon states that Hackmon may find his missing 'something' if he goes with us. Hackmon protests to which... Gankoomon slugs him.

Hackmon is determined to prove himself to Gankoomon but still doesn't want our help stating that it can defeat BanchoLeomon on it's own. Yeah... I doubt that. Hackmon warns us not to follow it and runs off to the Ueno Digital Shift. So what do we do? We ignore everything it just said and follow after it. :derp:

The Ueno Digital Shift appears to be the museum in Ueno itself and we are once again forced to use Stealth Hide to get inside it.

We begin exploring it and defeat a WereGarurumon to unlock some more of the area. This was all I was able to do though unfortunately.

    Next time:

We continue exploring the Ueno Museum/Digital Shift in search of Hackmon and BanchoLeomon. What's Hackmon's problem? Will it find it's missing 'something?' How will this make Hackmon a Royal Knight? What does BanchoLeomon have to do with this? Will Gankoomon really help us if we do this?

Hopefully we'll have answers to all these questions next time... :dunno:
  8. We continue with Arata in tow and take on a Megadramon to clear our path. Which ended up being a relatively easy fight.

We move forward and I attempt to prepare as much as possible for the next Eater fight just in case it ends up being RIDICULOUS as well. :sigh:

Unfortunately... we're too late and a lot of people are eaten and Arata is saddened by this. DAMN YOU EATERS.

We take on another Humanoid Eater this time. Thankfully... it wasn't as ridiculous as the past 2 fights were. In fact, it was only somewhat annoying compared to the last 2 fights...

But we come out victorious either way. We still can't understand the Eaters and their actions though. Until a voice says he can help in that regard.

GOD. NOT YOU AGAIN. Yeah... it's Akemi Suedou...

This guy rambles on and on honestly. FREAK ALERT. o_O

Either way he informs us that the Eaters have one purpose. To evolve and become higher beings. Which they achieve by eating all the data they can. To them it doesn't matter what it is. Suedou proves how much of a freak he is by claiming that if they eat away at the wall between the real world and Digital World enough... the worlds will basically become one. Which, to Suedou, means that the real world could be modified at will like a program in the Digital World. To Suedou, this means humans can achieve the greatness they've always wanted and to evolve into 'higher beings' as well. Do I really need to say it anymore? FREAK. ALERT. ::S:

He warns Arata to be more aware of his surroundings or he'll pay for it. He tells him to look behind him. OH CRAP.

Yeah... it's an Eater... but it does something weird to Arata instead of making him contract EDEN Syndrome. He seems to remember things... specifically... Yuugo. WAIT A MINUTE DOES THIS MEAN WHAT I THINK IT MEANS?!

Arata then starts rambling about not having enough power to protect people. Enter Suedou going into his own ramblings about Arata and his 'potential' and how he can help Arata achieve greatness and the power he desires. Arata doesn't say much and begins to go with Suedou. ARATA WHEN DID YOU BECOME A DUMBASS? YOU WERE PRETTY COOL UP UNTIL NOW. :pff:

However... a voice in the distance speaks up about if this is what Arata really wants. Who is it? KYOKO TO THE RESCUE. YES!!

Arata is shocked to see her. As am I honestly. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! However, there's no time to get into that with the current predicament. Suedou blocks our path with a firewall and says to Arata that this is 'proof' of the 'power' that could be achieved. We try to chase after them by Kyoko stops us by saying that it wouldn't do any good and we need to think carefully about how to handle this. I suppose that's true. Either way, Arata has gone from Devil Survivor 2 main character to Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto. Though that does make us a de-facto Naruto Uzumaki now. Though I'm disappointed in Arata being a dumbass, I'm a HUGE Naruto Uzumaki fan so I guess it's okay. Take that Naruto haters.

We return to the agency with Kyoko in tow and she reveals what she's been doing this whole time. Tracking down the Royal Knights. KYOKO THE BADASS ALERT.

She's managed to track down 4. In Odaiba, EDEN, Ueno, and Shibuya. Examon is in Odaiba but has been badly corroded by the Eaters and is surrounded by the Defense Force apparently which Kyoko seems to think can be handled by them for the time being. Which leaves the other three. Apparently Kentaurosmon is in EDEN, Bankoomon is in Ueno and Magnamon is in Shibuya. We need to try to talk with them and make as many of them as our allies as possible. But will they really listen? I've never seen Bankoomon so I don't know where his affiliations lie. Same with Examon. Kentaurosmon seemed to be okay in Data Squad though. Magnamon though... is another one in the 'gray' area. But I guess we can at least try? :dunno:

However, I'll get to two of those soon as I talk about the other cases I did. The first one involved a Kabuterimon that seems to be having master problems as well. He digivolved because his master wanted a strong Digimon but now his master is distant and he wants our help in determining how to make his master happy.

So as we do that... we run into Kentaurosmon in EDEN. WHO FREAKING ATTACKS US. WHAT THE HELL MAN?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE OKAY. MAYBE NOT.

This jerkass is way too fast and I can't even do anything. He insults us for being too slow before leaving. WELL SO MUCH FOR HIM BEING NICE. :sigh:

We return to the office and Omnimon admits that Kentaurosmon is a formidable foe and the only way to match his speed is with speed. Specifically, another Royal Knight. UlforceVeedramon to be exact. But Omnimon hasn't detected him and thinks the Dimensional Door closed before he could come through. So now what? Well...

Kyoko informs us of the parallel world theory. If you haven't heard of that, it's the theory that states that when something happens, a parallel world is then created with another possibility. Which basically means that there are millions, possibly billions, of parallel worlds out there. Kyoko theorizes that since the real and Digital Worlds are now somewhat connected that it may be possible to go to a parallel world where UlforceVeedramon came to the real world and bring him to our world. The one who may have more information on this is Mirei from the Digi-Lab. Hmm... intriguing. Either way we'll have to try that later. For now, though...

We continue helping Kabuterimon and someone suggests he digivolve again so we bring that to him and he fights us. But it was a relatively easy fight and he realizes that he won't be able to because he just digivolved so we try talking to someone else in Ueno.

As we enter Ueno, we come across Bankoomon and another Digimon that keeps calling him 'master.' I guess it's his disciple or apprentice or something? Either way this Digimon is determined to join the Royal Knights and keep training until that happens. However, he feels that he's missing 'something' and Bankoomon wonders what that 'something' could be. The Digimon turns out to be called Hackmon. Well... we'll deal with them later too.

The person in Ueno queries that Kabuterimon's master is a young girl who is frightened by his appearance so he suggests De-Digivolving. When we take this to Kabuterimon he's surprised that we know his master is a young girl and he realizes that his look may be the issue and he states he'll de-digivolve right away. With all this the case is complete.

Next up a young child needs our help in uncovering the 'seventh riddle' of his school. He was able to solve the other riddles except the final one which seemed to involve a monster being seen in the school. He gives us a drawing to go by. Which is apparently really bad. Well... I guess it's better than nothing? :dunno:

We head to the hospital and see a... weird scene with a Sorcerimon promising a young child that her pain will go away soon. It seems bad I know... but I was pretty sure I had the wrong idea. Turns out I was right. The Sorcerimon was helping out at the hospital because they have too many patients and not enough help. That's... actually pretty sweet. We show him the drawing and he informs us that it's Wizardmon. Well... the two do look alike honestly. Apparently Wizardmon is in Akihabara so we chase after him.

We talk with the Wizardmon and he claims he was in a school before attacking us. Somewhat lengthy battle but I came out victorious. Afterwards, he apologizes for what he did because he was just curious about the school and says he won't do it again as he caused a mess. Hmm... o_O

When we go back to the child to tell them this, they suggest not telling anyone and keeping it a secret. That's... quite the mature action to take but sure why not? That way Wizardmon won't feel so bad. The case is complete after that.

That's all I did this time.

    Next time:

Can we convince these 4 Royal Knights to help us? What's Kentaurosmon's deal anyway? What about Bankoomon, Magnamon and Examon? I suppose we'll find out...
  9. We move on to random cases first. A Numemon is tired of being laughed at so it wants us to gather Syakomon shells by defeating them so it can digivolve. Okay? o_O

Either way we do so and it digivolves into ShellNumemon before attacking us claiming it has to kill us because they were just using us. HOW NICE OF YOU.

Not that it mattered because we defeat it relatively easily. It promises to not deceive others anymore and the case is complete. :dunno:

The next one also ends up being really simple. A couch potato Nanimon tells us to go buy a newspaper and we do so and bring it back. It seems to always fall asleep and says our reward for the case is good enough despite the fact that we had to buy the newspaper for him. Laziness much? Either way this one is done rather quickly as well. :sigh:

We go to the hospital and find Yuuko there so we talk with her. Yuuko takes us to her brothers room so we can meet him. Yuuko wanted to hear from her brother so much that it made her happy when she found out that her brother had spoken to us. She really cares about him...

She asks us why we're there and we inform her that we're looking for Mr. Yamashina and Yuuko says she'll help out and will ask at the lobby for his room number. However, when we do that the hospital is so busy (likely due to the current craziness) that they've lost track of him. SERIOUSLY?! This must be a bad hospital... o_O

Well either way we find out, from a child of all people, of a strange moaning sound coming from a room in the General Ward and we go there and the moaning of course is Mr. Yamashina. He rambles on and on about getting close to remembering something and actually freaks out when he tries to remember something important. Yuuko calms him down and tells him who she is and she can help him. He insists on us taking him to the Roppongi Underground Laboratory that we found Yuuko at with Rie. When we arrive there from the Nakano Underpass he remembers that the device that Yuuko was hooked up to can also be used to unlock his memories and insists on us doing so.

When we try however, Yuuko discovers some sort of 'block' and it causes a Digital Shift. Well then...

But since it's a Digital Shift we realize we can Connect Jump into it and do us. If we remove whatever the 'block' is Mr. Yamashina's memory should be restored. When did this become Kingdom Hearts? Either way we head through a weird dungeon to do so and find a Digimon at the end of it. An Ebemon to be exact. We have to defeat it to restore his memories.

FORGET WHAT I SAID BEFORE. WORST FIGHT IN THE GAME.

THIS JERKASS KEPT INFLICTING BUG ON MY DIGIMON AND ITSELF.

Item abuse, persistency, and a few re-tries had to be used to achieve victory. MY GOD. :pff:

But we get quite the shocking information once Mr. Yamashina's memories are restored. He was a part of the team involved with the early beta test with EDEN when he worked for the Nile Corporation. It's also finally revealed that the first EDEN Syndrome case was indeed Yuugo, Yuuko's brother. CALLED IT.

However other children were involved as well but they regained consciousness rather quickly. It turns out Akemi Suedou was the one that locked away Yamashina's memories. The children involved apparently talked about something that Yamashina described as 'something out of a fairy tale' but it was viewed as 'mass hysteria and extraneous stress' by most of the team. Except for Suedou who insisted on hearing about all of it from the children and it excited him as if he were a child. FREAK ALERT.

But Yamashina doesn't remember who the other children were because he just doesn't know. But seeking them out would do no good because their memories were 'locked away' by Suedou as well. WHO DOES THIS *squee!* THINK HE IS?! MARLUXIA?!

But Suedou would likely have more information. Yeah looks like we need to track this jerkass down. Which we were going to do anyway. But Yamashina requests his memories to be locked away again. Because before he only focused on his work and spent no time with his family and his 'locked away memories' self was able to be the father his family needed. He continued to insist, so Yuuko felt like she had no choice and did as he wished. Did she make the right choice? You decide. :dunno:

But Date and Matayoshi appear to be in danger so we run off to help them and come across an Eater as we do so.

OH. MY. GOD. WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THESE RIDICULOUS FIGHTS?! THIS ONE WAS ALMOST WORSE THAN THE EBEMON FIGHT. THE ONLY REASON I WON WAS BECAUSE MY BLACKKINGNUMEMON BAILED ME OUT AGAIN.

This is starting to get ridiculous. Seriously. When did the game difficulty turn to RIDICULOUS?

*sighs* Either way I won. Matayoshi and Date inform us they saw Arata go into the subway as another Eater is within and requests that we get rid of it as well. Well... I'll try. With how the fights are going I'm sure how well I'll do...

So when we go in Arata has his hood up and thinks he's the main character of Devil Survivor 2. Dude... just because you look like him doesn't mean you are him. o_O

He doesn't want us involved but realizes we wouldn't listen to him anyway. OF COURSE WE WOULDN'T. He offers to fight with us for old time sakes. So now we're getting help from someone who's technically a wanted fugitive. Oh goodie? :dunno:

That's all I did this time.

    Next time:

I'm going to just assume the rest of the game is RIDICULOUS. Can I survive the next Eater battle? Honestly... I have no idea... :sigh:
  10. We go to Akihabara... but it's not Gallantmon we find. We find Leopardmon instead. OH GOODIE. ::S:

So... this guy is quite the jerkass. He insults Omnimon for ruining his title and his Royal Knight status as well as insulting humans in general. OKAY. CAN WE FIGHT HIM NOW?! I'LL KICK HIS ASS. Maybe.

He's clearly not going to be convinced. However, for some reason, he reveals that Crusadermon only came to the human world to open the Dimensional Door so the Royal Knights could come to the human world and everything was actually a part of his plan. I. WANT. TO. KICK. HIS. ASS. NOW.

Omnimon gets ready to fight. However... Dynasmon, another Royal Knight, interferes. YOU. YOU'RE JUST AS BAD AS CRUSADERMON. IF NOT WORSE. :pff:

But... 1 jerkass Royal Knight was bad enough. 2?! This... might not end well...

Luckily we're saved by... GALLANTMON?! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!

ROYAL KNIGHTS ARE JUST POPPING UP LIKE WEEDS NOW.
    o_O

However... Gallantmon is able to get Leopardmon and Dynasmon to leave and settle things later. Looks like Gallantmon is on Omnimon's side and states that the anger of the other Royal Knights has caused them to make mistakes and to head towards their destructive actions to save their world. NAH. THEY'RE JUST CORRUPTED *squee!*S.

Either way Gallantmon states that half of the Royal Knights are with Leopardmon while the others could still be convinced to find alternative methods than Armageddon. So Nokia and Omnimon are determined to seek them out and debate their case. They want our help as well though and will inform us of anything they come across. *sighs* Fine. I'm a little skeptical that ANY of them will be 'convinced' but I guess it's better than the alternative of fighting ALL THE ROYAL KNIGHTS at least. ::S:

Either way that's where this 'case' ends (if you want to call it that...)

When we return to the agency there's still no sign of Kyoko. Also... the daughter of the guy we investigated near the beginning of the game for Yuuko comes to us thinking we were investigating him again. But we weren't. We were... doing other things. Either way she informs us that her father has somewhat gone crazy all of a sudden and they had to put him into the hospital. She wants us to investigate and figure out what happened to him. Well... I'm not sure there's a cure for what your telling us... but we can try I guess? :dunno:

This was all I was able to do unfortunately.

    Next time:

Is Kyoko EVER going to come back? We also do more random cases and possibly investigate what happened to that girl's father. Also we may or may not run into more Royal Knights. Only time will tell I suppose... o_O
  11. Sorry for the 'slight' delay. I was having weird internet issues with my laptop only but hopefully it's been fixed up.

Things have been pretty rough so we take a break and fall asleep on the sofa. Everyone needs a break every now and then. Even Cyber Sleuths.

We wake up... in a Digital Network? Okay...? o_O

We make our way through it and when we exit... we see a small child named Fuuka (HEY. THIS ISN'T PERSONA 3 :pff:) playing with an Elecmon and a Numemon that she gave nicknames to and was playing with. It was actually... kinda cute. :smile2:

After we wake up Pete informs us we have another case. We unlock another case from Nokia who needs our help with something involving Agumon and Gabumon (huh? What happened to Omnimon?) either way I wonder what she needs this time? :dunno:

We do another case first though involving someone who wants help with his sister. It turns out to be the same small girl that we saw in our dream I guess? Playing with a Numemon and Elemon. The guy thinks their trouble and will turn his sister bad so he wants us to get rid of them. DUDE... ARE YOU EVEN PAYING ATTENTION?! Luckily... we point out how she's having fun and this seems to resolve things rather quickly. Case complete!!

Or not... we didn't get our reward. He refuses to give us one because he wants to keep an eye on his sister and expects us to do the same. *sighs* :sigh:

However... we fall asleep again and have another weird dream where Fuuka is getting harassed by adults thinking the Digimon are going to eat her. WHAT HAPPENED TO ATTENTION SPANS?!

We wake up and proclaim the girl and her friends are in trouble before running off. Pete is concerned and contemplates that our Cyber Body may be going unstable and we're going into networks in our dreams. That... can't be good... can it?

Either way we head off and things take an even worse turn when a larger Digimon shows up. A Cyclonemon. This one yells about wanting food... the human kind. OH GOD.

But the Numemon and Elecmon rush in to protect Fuuka. SEE YOU FOOLS?! They try to digivolve but... no dice. But they're determined to protect Fuuka regardless. This can't end well so... we help. From a distance. Secretly. :derp:

After the somewhat harsh battle we come out victorious and Numemon and Elecmon can't believe how strong they are and say it was as if someone was helping them. Well... you know...

The brother wakes up and realizes that this is the happiest he's ever seen his sister. So he accepts the resolution and case complete FOR GOOD this time.

So... Omnimon is back into Agumon and Gabumon because they can travel easier in the human world in that form. I guess that's true? :dunno:

However they're hungry so Nokia wants our help taking them to eat at various restaurants to learn human eating customs and to further Human/Digimon relations. Uh... sure? :sigh:

So we do that. More main character the food critic talk. However Agumon and Gabumon can't be satisfied and want more and more food. Nokia runs low on funds however. Luckily Yuuko comes in and saves the day. YOUR THE BEST YUUKO.

Yuuko even joins us as well. The last place we go is a dessert place and Agumon and Gabumon are finally full. Nokia can't believe how much Yuuko can eat but Yuuko says it's not like that. Sure... :derp:

We also find out that the previous food related quest was actually from Yuuko as well. She's apparently a food critic on the side. Well then... that explains a lot I suppose...

Case complete and we move on to the next chapter. Nokia needs to talk to us again. Now what? :dunno:

Looks like Omnimon is back. MAKE UP YOUR MIND MAN. o_O

Either way apparently things are getting worse and worse for Digimon instead of better. Trouble is being constantly started and Nokia wants to send the Digimon home but can't because the Digital World is still in a horrible shape with all the Eaters. There's that and the constant trouble in the real/human world. Things aren't looking good it seems with everything at a standstill and Kyoko still missing... UGH...

Omnimon suggests looking for the other Royal Knights and trying to convince them to seek other ways other than DESTROYING THE WORLD. But how are we supposed to find them? Apparently Omnimon can scope them out as long as they aren't actively trying to hide their presence. Well... I suppose it's better than doing nothing... and it's worth trying at least. But Omnimon warns that if they can't be convinced a fight may break out. OH GOODIE. ::S:

Nokia is up for it and Omnimon actually senses one nearby in Akihabara. It appears to be Gallantmon according to Omnimon. Hmm... him huh? He's another one that tends to be 'okay' yet still be in a 'gray' area... :pff:

Well... guess there's only one thing to do...

    Next time:

HOW MANY ROYAL KNIGHTS WILL I HAVE TO BEAT INTO SUBMISSION?!
    ::S:

Also I'm starting to legitimately miss Kyoko now...

At least we have Pete? :dunno:
  12. Our next case involves a Tamer who's DemiDevimon has gone missing. So we go around and search for him.

We find him and he rants about us finding him instead of his master and takes us on. Okay... o_O

THE HELL?! HOW IS HE STRONG?! HE'S A ROOKIE. :sigh:

For some reason it ended up being a lengthy battle but I came out victorious either way.

It turns out it's really lonely and thinks it's master doesn't care about him. We state the obvious. That he does care about him because he put in the case for us to find him. The DemiDevimon says it'll just tell it's master it's feelings... while body slamming him. Whatever you want to do? Either way case complete apparently. :dunno:

Next up a DLC case. A Sakuyamon tells us to investigate a rather rude letter that was sent to multiple Digimon stating that a hero movie is being made needing villains for it and they sent it to Digimon who look like villains. I guess they never heard the saying 'don't judge a book by it's cover.' :pff:

Either way we roam the dungeon and find a Rosemon, a BlackWarGreymon, and a Myotismon who have the wrong idea thinking we sent the letter and they attack.

OH MY GOD. THIS FIGHT.

I LOVE YOU BLACKKINGNUMEMON. SERIOUSLY. I DO

If my BlackKingNumemon didn't have Texture Blow to Dot Rosemon (to prevent her from healing everyone) this would have been impossible. But thanks to that and item abuse I come out victorious. STILL THOUGH. UGH.

The ones responsible for the letter turn out to be Justimon, Starmon, and SuperStarmon who act like they're the Ginyu Squad or the Power Rangers or something. :DFH:

    I prepare accordingly this time.

    THIS FIGHT WAS RIDICULOUS TOO.
Maybe not as ridiculous as the other, but still ridiculous.

I also item abused and was able to come out victorious.

Afterwards, with no help, Justimon, Starmon, and SuperStarmon apologize and start planning on being the villains themselves. But the others say they'll look at the script. Sakuyamon thanks us for helping and looks forward to the results.

Well... I guess all's well that ends well? Seriously though... stop judging a book by it's covers... :pff:

This was all I did. I didn't have much time unfortunately.

    Next time:

    WHERE ARE YOU KYOKO?!
  13. We wake up... in a somewhat serene wildland area. DID WE JUST ARRIVE IN THE DIGITAL WORLD?!

Well... either way... we move forward to find... Yuugo. Yep. The real deal apparently.

He knows who we are. Because apparently he called out to us and we respond to 'those that call out for help' and our subconscious responded to him. Apparently? o_O

Either way he thanks us for saving Yuuko and doesn't know what he would have done if we hadn't of been there. It's all good. Yuuko is BEST anyway. No problem man. :smile2:

He then goes on to say that his memories have been the weird 'scenes from the past' we've been seeing and claims all of that is the cause of all this. I'm not sure how that is supposed to work, but whatever you say? :dunno:

Either way it appears Yuugo is the 'Ghost of the Pale Boy' we've been seeing.

Eventually though, someone else has called out to us and Yuugo is surprised that they found us. Well... it's our friends. What do you expect?

So we return to the real world. Only to find...

The ENTIRE area is .hack-like. Like one huge Digital Shift/Labyrinth/whatever you want to call it. Well then...

We get multiple calls from our friends who are relieved to see that we're okay and Arata keeps telling everyone to ask one question at a time. This isn't the only problem though. But I'll get to that later.

We return to the agency with our friends all relieved again. Particularly Yuuko that Nokia claims was the most concerned but Yuuko says it was only because she didn't get to thank us properly and wasn't sleeping well because of it. Sure it was... :derp:

However... Kyoko is noticeably missing. Which Arata states has been that way for a while as she immediately went out to search for us. Kyoko cares. That's... actually kind of sweet.

We attempt to contact Kyoko but no luck. Uh oh... where are you Kyoko? :(

Either way the remnants of the Dimensional Door are abound and not surprisingly the news is blaming it all on hackers again claiming they have kidnapped Rie Kishibe. WRONG. COMPLETELY WRONG.

We also tell everyone what happened to us. They think it was just a dream. It seemed like it was that’s for sure. Either way, Yuuko is happy to hear that her brother was concerned about her.

Kishibe/Crusadermon's trail has gone cold and it's unknown what that jerk is up to. Nothing good I'm sure. However... Matayoshi makes his reappearance. He's unsure where Kyoko is at either... but... he didn't come to see her. He came to see... Arata?!

Corruption is at its finest once more. Everyone is looking for a scapegoat. Because Arata was the one that caused the blackout (which practically SAVED THE WORLD) Matayoshi's superior's want Arata as a person of interest in what is currently happening. Everyone tells Matayoshi that what Arata did was the only choice and that they were all involved. Which Matayoshi knows and he insists on talking things out.

However, Arata isn't having any of it apparently. Arata goes back to acting cool, which he tends to do a lot to make it seem like he's tough, and won't listen and go into police 'protection.' He also tells Matayoshi to ignore everyone's outbursts about them being involved as well and only wants the finger pointed at him. So we can continue to move about freely. He takes out his Infermon and busts out of the office. SERIOUSLY?! Yeah... that's NOT going to help anything... but... he's trying to protect us too... UGH.

Yuuko says she'll try to pick up Kishibe/Crusadermon's trail and Nokia will continue to help Digimon and let them know that humans aren't all bad. Why? BECAUSE DIGIMON ARE IN THE REAL WORLD NOW AND ARE PRETTY MUCH EVERYWHERE.

You know... this IS bad don't get me wrong, but, it's kind of... awesome at the same time. I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS GAME AGAIN. :omg:

Kyoko is still missing though... and... Date comes in to talk with us. Uh oh...

But Date is actually somewhat understanding and tells us that Kyoko will come back. True she probably will. She has a case for us. Well... we can't let the Agency go out of business can we?

Turns out... she has a Lopmon with her. This time... it's a missing Digimon case. I told you. DIGIMON ARE EVERYWHERE NOW. Anyway, the Lopmon was roaming around and Date couldn't ignore it. Her feminine side shows itself finally. She calls Lopmon cute. Well... that's true. :derp:

She yells at us to not laugh. Anyway the Lopmon lost its friend Tokomon and asks us to help locate it. Can do! However... Date also informs us that due to Arata's actions... he's now a wanted man. Not surprising really. Matayoshi tried his best but Arata's actions only made him look more suspicious. Either way Date leaves warning us to keep an eye on Lopmon and Date wants to touch its ears later.

So we run around trying to find Tokomon. Lopmon even offers to help us look for our friend (Kyoko) as well. Oh and PETE IS IN THE OFFICE NOW. I DON'T CARE IF THIS IS BAD THIS IS BEST. We even get some assistance from Nokia and her team in our search. We check with Yuuko in EDEN and.... WELL THAT WAS FAST. TOKOMON FOUND. IT'S ON YUUKO'S HEAD. :derp:

    CUTEST. SCENE. EVER.

Lopmon and Tokomon are reunited and Yuuko states she found it cowering in the corner. Nokia tells us she hasn't found anything but is happy to hear we found Tokomon. She meets us back at the office and sees Lopmon and Tokomon. They reveal that they fell from the huge hole that opened in the sky (Dimensional Door). Nokia offers for them to stay at her place as her and Omnimon are offering shelter for Digimon that have nowhere to go. Lopmon and Tokomon are excited to meet a Royal Knight and agree. Case complete I suppose.

Next up a Digimon needs help... finding a job?! Okay...

It turns out to be a Piedmon. He needs a job but everyone is scared of him. Understandable considering what's going on. :pff:

Ironically we find someone running a circus that needs help spreading the word about them. So we go back to Piedmon with this and he agrees saying it's a perfect fit. Well... he looks like a clown so I suppose it is.

However, he's nervous and needs help with the job interview so we give him some advice and help him practice. I'm not sure how much good it'll do considering he's a DIGIMON but hey whatever works I guess. Case complete? :dunno:

There's some more cases to be done as well as a new DLC case. So I'll be getting to those next time.

    Next time:

We need to find Kishibe/Crusadermon, Arata is fleeing fugitive, where are you Kyoko? Also...

    DIGIMON ARE EVERYWHERE.

If this were to really happen... yes it would be bad... but... I'd be like... "This is bad!! BUT IT'S SO AWESOME!! NO IT'S BAD!!! BUT IT'S AWESOME!!" :twi:
  14. We head through Nakano Underpass and find...

YOU. FINALLY. AT LONG LAST. I'M GOING TO RIP YOU APART.

    Yep. It's Rie Kishibe.

When we confront her though... Omnimon warns us of a Royal Knight signature. Hmm... o_O

However we don't have time for that, as Rie gives us no time and goes forward with her plan. OH CRAP.

Meanwhile... Arata gets interrupted by Akemi Suedou. UGH. EVERYTHING IS AGAINST US. :sigh:

Arata somewhat ignores him and states he doesn't have time for him and his jokes and insults him calling him Kishibe's lap dog. However... Suedou states that he's been keeping an eye on the hackers the entire time waiting for them to 'flourish' and also rants about Arata and his 'possibilities.' This guy is a nut job. Seriously. :pff:

However... he reveals the he was the one that created the Digimon Capture program as it was an 'unforeseen' consequence to their experimentation. Oh really...?

Either way he leaves after that and tells Arata when he wants to unlock his 'potential' to seek him out. o_O

Back to Kishibe... it turns out she's not human at all. Well... I had a suspicion when I saw the Digimon image. A Royal Knight was using her as a vessel. Specifically... it's Crusadermon. GOD. OF COURSE IT'S YOU. YOUR THE MOST CORRUPTED ROYAL KNIGHT.

She tries to get Omnimon to come back to their side and he refuses. So of course... TIME TO OPEN A CAN OF WHOOP-ASS.

To be honest... this fight wasn't overly difficult. I used all Ultimates which probably helped. However... she rants about it not being time to unleash her full power and... leaves. YEAH YOU BETTER RUN. I WAS KICKING YOUR ASS.

We get an anime cutscene with the Dimension Door opening. Well crap. A severely injured Digimon comes out it which shocks Crusadermon. Then... the blackout occurs. Yep. Arata did it just in time and the Dimensional Door closes. But Crusadermon claims that it likely had some sort of effect and the plan just needs to be 'adjusted' before doing a villain laugh. *sighs* :sigh:

We then attempt to rescue Yuuko.

OH CRAP AN EATER AND IT CONSUMED YUUKO.

OH GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!

Fei is angered and yet another fight.

    This one... UGH.

Lengthiest battle yet. I was actually doing okay for awhile... until it started using harsh attacks. At one point it even KO'd 3 of my Ultimates. Yeah... my whole party.

I don't know how I pulled it off, but by that time, it was low on HP and one of my Champions was the one to finally 'defeat' it (sort of).

Things aren't looking good and... we realize that Eaters are data... so...

CONNECT JUMP INTO THE EATER.

We get a bunch of stuff involving Yuuko and her despair. Rie was the one to give her the idea of going into EDEN as Yuugo to protect it. But it was all lies and she thinks she's made too many mistakes and doesn't deserve anyone. However...

Fei's TigerVespamon came with us and reassures her that she's not alone as Fei was with her the whole time as well as us. She has lots of friends now.

So we reach out to her... and...

    YUUKO RESCUED. YAY. :twi:

    ...........................

    A portal opens behind us.

    Um... what?

    WE DISAPPEARED. o_O

I didn't have anymore time. I had to stop here. I wanted to play more trust me.

    Next time:

    NOW WHAT'S GOING ON?! :sigh:
  15. I didn't get much done game wise but lots of story will pretty much make up for that.

First off, Omnimon begins with stating that our world and the Digital World are in danger. Well... we pretty much figured that much out but thanks for confirming it? :dunno:

So it turns out that Eaters have been appearing in the Digital World as well and they've become quite the menace. So, the Royal Knights, who Omnimon is a part of, tried to determine what to do to stop them. The origin of the Eaters... turned out to be a cyberspace that was just created in the human world.

    You guessed it. EDEN.

They were apparently formed somehow by all the spite, aggression, and rage of humans that apparently went unchecked in cyberspace. That... doesn't make much sense but whatever you say? o_O

This is where things get... dicey. The Royal Knights, under the leadership of King Drasil, tried to determine what the best action was. The action that was chosen... was mostly fought against by Omnimon. Why? Well...

Most of the Royal Knights blamed humanity for the creation of the Eaters and everything that was going on. They pretty much believed that there was only one solution to stopping the Eaters once and for all. Which was... the destruction of humanity. Not just Nakano, not just Japan, but pretty much the whole freaking world. As in the planet. As in Earth. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. NOT THIS CRAP AGAIN.

Let me take a moment here to talk about the Royal Knights. This seems to be a recurring theme for them. A few of them are okay, I guess (though honestly even those that are 'okay' are mostly in a grey area with questionable loyalties) and the rest seem to be CORRUPTED AS HELL. This seems to be the case with most 'organizations' in games too. The most obvious examples are what the Royal Knights did in Digimon Season 3 (Tamers) Digimon Season 4 (Data Squad) Digimon World 4 (PS2) and especially Digimon X-Evolution (english subbed only Digimon movie). Where they always take the most drastic action to preserve themselves and the Digital World over practically everything else, even those human worlds too. Because, for whatever reason, they don't even want to try to think of any alternatives. *sighs* :sigh:

Well... at least Omnimon tried? But how exactly are they supposed to do this? Well, Digimon are already appearing in our world. So yes it has to do with the Digital Shifts. Basically, they are attempting to rip open a huge hole to come in and pretty much cause Armageddon. Somehow, Yuuko Kamishiro seems to be the key in all of this as well. Omnimon states that Rie Kishibe is either working with the Royal Knights or being mind-controlled. Honestly... considering the Digimon image we saw... it's likely the latter. WHAT IS WITH THIS DAMN CORRUPTION. I SWEAR.

So yeah... we need to stop this. Obviously. This is the 'Paradise Lost' plan. We regroup at the Detective Agency and even Arata shows up to help as well. We inform Kyoko and Arata and they're shocked to say the least. But Kyoko only states it confirms her suspicions. I... see...

So what are we supposed to do? Well... Kyoko and Arata go into a lengthy explanation about what exactly they are doing and I'm not going to be able to restate it word for word. I was kind of with Nokia in not really understanding. Sorry. You may have to play the game yourself. Which you should anyway because this is pretty much the BEST Digimon game I think I've EVER PLAYED. :omg:

But basically there are 2 things to try to keep in mind. 1. Kishibe is pretty much trying to open a Dimensional Wall and 2. Yuuko Kamishiro has been abducted. It's logical to assume they are both connected somehow. So we need to rescue Yuuko. But we also need to pretty much cause a blackout of all of Tokyo as well to prevent the plan's success. Arata has the blackout covered as he'll get some of his friends to help out to cause the blackout. While us and Nokia rescue Yuuko. We'll be using the Nakano Underpass for this. Because Yuuko was in an underground facility in Roppongi apparently that Kyoko was able to track down. The facility that we found in the Underpass is exactly that. But it'll take quite a while for us to get there... but... there's little choice. So... WE'RE OFF TO RESCUE YUUKO.

However... Kyoko is shocked to discover as we are traversing the Underpass that we've somehow gone a long distance in a short amount of time. It looks like the Digital Shift has caused a space-time rift anomaly shortening the distance which Nokia seems to think works in our favor. I suppose it does... but... still... is this a sign of what's to come? :dunno:

Also Fei confronts us. Uh oh...

However... Fei does the unexpected. She wants to help and even gives further information on Yuuko. Yuugo was her brother's image and she was using the guise of Yuugo of Team Zaxon to protect EDEN for her family. Looks like Yuuko did quite a lot just for her family... she also helped Fei as well. So she wants to help. Well... the more help the better I suppose. Even Nokia shockingly agrees. AW YEAH. YOU'RE GONNA GET YOURS NOW KAMISHIRO.

This was pretty much where I stopped.

    Next time:

It's inevitable that a Royal Knight will attempt to stop us, but, how many? All of them? Well then... ::S:

    At least we have Omnimon?

Yeah... this still isn't going to end well I'm sure... :sigh:
