  1. Lots to talk about. Lots of story. So let's start.

We trek through Valhalla server and come across Nokia, MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon. Arata then... distracts Nokia's Digimon with... meat. WAIT WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?! Somehow it works though. Well then...

We arrive at the center where all the Zaxon hackers are working to 'release' Under Zero. Yuugo and Fei are among them. So we pretty much do the only thing we can. Confront them. We then find out that Arata use to be a hacker team leader. Of a team called 'Judes.' Well... we already knew that he was a hacker before he obtained the Digimon Capture program from Mr. Navit... but... still...

Looks like Arata tries to warn the Zaxons of something. Apparently he and his team attempted exactly what Zaxon is doing right now. With horrible results that pretty much caused Arata's Judes friends to mostly go crazy, lose confidence in themselves or just made them fearful in general. Yikes.

But Yuugo doesn't seem to care and plans on going forward regardless. Why am I not surprised? Then, of course, Arata reveals that he brought some of his old Judes friends with him. It would have been nice if he told us this before hand, but, at least we won't have to fight everyone. :dunno:

However, Nokia makes her entrance as well and we begin our 'Kamishiro puppet' dance with the last hacking team standing being the victors. *sighs* :sigh:

So... we fight Yuugo. Quite the harsh fight. He KO'd 2 of my Digimon. Plus I had to item abuse a little too. Harsh fight honestly. But I did somehow come out as the winner. :pff:

Yuugo praises Arata and Arata does the same and mentions we have someone who's a 'pain in the butt.' That of course being Nokia who finally confronts Fei. Will things go differently from their previous fight? Well... no. Not at first anyway.

But then... Nokia has her CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOMENESS. She declares that it's not over and then... digifuses WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon.

So first it was Digimon Season 1, now this game is Digimon Fusion? :dunno:

However, Nokia's awesomeness quickly evaporates when even she is shocked at what happens. :derp:

I'd put another 'spit take' gif here (because it's freaking OMNIMON A ROYAL KNIGHT) but that joke only works once I think. Still though. FREAKING OMNIMON. It even happened in a 'CG' like cutscene.

She defeats Fei relatively easily after that with her shocked. Fei then calls Yuugo a 'her.' WAIT WHAT?! o_O

    But then...

    GOD DAMN YOU KAMISHIRO.
Not surprisingly honestly, Rie Kishibe interrupts and declares that Yuugo has served their purpose and is no longer needed. Cue the Eaters appearing and pretty much 'eating' all the hackers in the area making them contract EDEN Syndrome. UGH. I KNEW IT WAS A TRAP.

So a temporary truce is forged and Nokia snaps Yuugo out of his 'despair' trance. Us and Arata are forced to fight 2 Eaters at once but it was easy compared to the Yuugo fight.

But it's too late. Kyoko contacts us but has trouble getting through and suggests we have to stop the Digital Wave at it's source to stop the Eaters. But how? Before we can do anything... the 'ghost' appears and Yuugo reveals it as... their brother?! WAIT A MINUTE... o_O

The Eaters disperse and... Yuugo disappears. Arata realizes they were forced to log out and we chase after them with Connection Jump as Nokia gets to see it for the first time.

Turns out... not only is Yuugo actually a girl. Yuugo... is actually Yuuko Kamishiro.

Rie gives another villain speech claiming that Yuuko is still needed and that she finally has full control over the Eaters and Digital Waves. Yuuko thought she was controlling Yuugo but actually she wasn't. The terminal Yuuko was at can be used to use any sort of avatar by Rie Kishibe and it was that which caused all the hackers to gather in one place. DAMN YOU *****.

Apparently Rie needs use of Yuuko's memories in order to further her plans. HOWEVER WE COME TO SAVE THE DAY. Well... not really. Rie gets annoyed at us and our ability before somehow sending us away. But not before we briefly see a Digimon image. o_O

UGH. I HATE KAMISHIRO AND THEIR DAMN CORRUPT ACTIVITIES.

Meanwhile, Nokia and Arata try to figure out what to do. Omnimon tries to figure out what Nokia would do. Which he figures is to act before thinking. That's certainly true. So he... attacks... something. Not sure what that did exactly... :dunno:

Arata then states he knows who the enemy is before telling Nokia to not get over her head. IT'S KAMISHIRO OF COURSE. Still though... Nokia's not going to just stand around either. Omnimon then reveals to Nokia that when it become Omnimon that it finally remembered why it came to the real world. The Digital World and our world is in serious danger. GEE YA THINK?! KINDA OBVIOUS AFTER ALL THIS.

After getting calmed down by Kyoko we regroup at the agency and see Kamishiro blaming everything on the hackers again. We then here from Nokia who informs us that Omnimon wants to discuss something with us. Likely involving what it remembered. This is, unfortunately, where I had to stop.

    Next time:

Omnimon's memories restored. Maybe we'll FINALLY get some answers? Oh... and WE'RE RESCUING YUUKO. CHARGE AND ATTACK RIE KISHIBE AT LONG LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe. Hopefully. Probably. I'm sure nothing will go wrong............ right? :dunno:

Something's going to go wrong isn't it? ::S:
  2. We meet up with Nokia who says something about 'training' her recruits and calls us the 'Golden Maniac' or GM for short. Apparently we're well known among her group for a couple of things we've done like infiltrating Kamishiro. So much for our antics being kept secret. WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN TRAINING?! o_O

Yeah... we're forced into a fight...

    Luckily it was relatively easy.

Afterwards, WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon (I'm still getting used to this...) save us by asking Nokia if she explained things to us. NO. OF COURSE SHE DIDN'T. :DFH:

So that pretty much saves us. But then... Yuugo shows up. Uh oh...

Luckily no fighting occurs. He just chats with Nokia about her group and says that if Nokia gets in his way, he just very well may crush her and her group. How... nice. :pff:

But he suggests that there's no reason to and Nokia takes that as an insult for them being 'noobs' and asks if he wants to test their power. STOP BEING A FOOL NOKIA. :sigh:

Luckily no other fighting occurs. We then meet up with Arata at K-Cafe and Nokia shows up as well thinking Arata there is 'a bonus.' Looks like all the hackers are talking about Yuugo's impassioned speech about attacking the Valhalla server and getting 'Under Zero' back. But Arata seems to think it's just old data on an old server. However... Nokia, and even some of her new teammates, want to participate as well. Nokia seems to think that if they get to 'Under Zero' first it'll bring more publicity to her group and get more members. Possibly prove Yuugo wrong as well. Arata yells about it being a bad idea but Nokia isn't budging on this as always and says she'll go herself if she has to before running off. Arata then realizes he can't allow things to go like they did before and chooses to go after her with us. Probably for the best. This is Nokia after all. ::S:

Arata gives us a 'secret passage' URL to the Valhalla server that he apparently 'obtained' with him and his friends as they attacked the Valhalla server before. WAIT WHAT?!

No other information is given on that though. Perhaps we'll find out later? Either way we head off to the Valhalla server but not before getting another malicious scene with Rie Kishibe and Akemi Suedou. About all they talk about is everything 'going according to plan.' Looks like Suedou was the one to decrease Valhalla's security to allow everyone in. WELP. TOTALLY A TRAP THEN. JUST LIKE ARATA THOUGHT IT WAS. SCREW YOU KAMISHIRO.

There's little choice in the matter though. It seems as though Kamishiro wants the hackers at each others' throats. Wonderful. Just wonderful. We're dancing like their puppets at this point.

Though I don't see how this works to Kamishiro's advantage. I suppose we'll find out soon enough. There's still little choice though if we're going to protect Nokia. Perhaps we can stop this 'hacker war' or whatever you want to call it? Though that's a little doubtful as well. *sighs* :sigh:

    Next time:

What lies within the Valhalla server? Who will we be forced to fight against? What does Kamishiro gain from all of this? More questions that will hopefully be answered... :dunno:

Also... I'm starting to get a lot of Ultimates at this point. Which is probably a good thing. My Champions weren't really cutting it anymore unfortunately. :dunno:
  3. The DLC case was actually just a random one involving Mirei and tracking down hackers and defeating them. I was WAY overpowered for it so it was too easy and went by quickly enough. Since the Digi-Farm cases aren't important either I'll just focus on the important ones from now on.

We start off with Ryota needing help choosing a gift for Sakura as she's getting out of the hospital. Seriously? You can't do this yourself and you need detective help for it? Yeah... okay... o_O

So in order to help him we try to think of a 'female friend' that could help us. Unfortunately, only Yuuko or Nokia come to mind so we try Nokia first. Nokia seems to think we have a girlfriend when we ask her when we have her instead and she seems to have the impression that we can't have her to ourselves. You keep telling yourself that...

Either way she suggests accessories. We bring that Ryota and the price is an issue but Ryota wants to use this as an opportunity to tell Sakura how he feels. Specifically, that he loves her. So he wants another idea. Picky... :pff:

Kyoko seems to think that Arata is the 'romantic' type so we try him next. He suggests poison and a dagger similar to Romeo and Juliet. NOT THAT KIND OF ROMANCE.

However, he says he was kidding and that was payback for us thinking he was weird before. Whatever you say. So instead he suggests a date at a theme park. We go to Ryota with that but he then says he wants to do something simple yet elegant. WHY IS SOMETHING LIKE THIS TAKING THIS LONG?!

Our last hope is Yuuko. Who actually states something pretty obvious and yet awesome at the same time. That the gift-giver has to put a lot of thought into the present and it's that long process that matters the most instead of the actual gift. In other words, the real point of gifts being 'it's the thought that counts' mantra. Yuuko... you’re the best. :smile2:

Ryota thinks this is perfect. Yet somehow couldn't come to that conclusion himself. Well... whatever. Case complete I suppose.

Next up one of the Rebel Tamers (Nokia's new 'hacking' group) wants our help keeping an eye on Nokia and making sure she's okay. Well... considering her tendency for trouble... I can't blame him. But this guy... actually is in love with Nokia. WOW. NOKIA FINALLY HAS SOMEONE. To bad she'll likely never know it or turn him down. :derp:

Either way we 'view her from afar which is what a man does' according to this guy. She's able to convince someone to join and the guy tries to get a date with Nokia which gets our client riled up and we have to hold him back. Yeesh... seriously? :DFH:

We continue following her and she tries to get someone else to join but is... interrupted. By someone who claims he's a hacking legend. Really? How is that possible if I haven't heard of you? :dunno:

Either way our client thinks this is a bad situation and asks us to intervene. Leading to a fight. WHAT THE HELL?! HE HAS A FREAKING BLACK WARGREYMON AND A BLACK METALGARURUMON.

For some reason... I wasn't doing any damage to them. I probably would have won though if it let me. It's not like they were killing my Digimon...

Either way things look bad... Agumon and Gabumon are determined to help.

    *takes a drink break*

*Agumon and Gabumon somehow instantly digivolve to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon*

    *the following happens*

    Well then...

So we try again. With the unexpected Warp Digivolving help (what is this, Digimon Season 1?) we win relatively easily.

Nokia seems to be realize that we, as well as our client were worried about her. Which seems to make our client happy and give him a nosebleed. Case complete?

Next up... Yuugo wants has a concern over Nokia and her team. Wow. A case from Yuugo.

So we chat with him. He asks us if we like EDEN. It's pretty cool. Get past the hackers and it's a pretty chill place. But Yuugo still believes he's the one that can unite all the hackers and return EDEN to its former glory. If you say so? :dunno:

Yuugo doesn't want to involve people like Nokia who care for Digimon so greatly as she does. Apparently he only wants the easily expendable hackers involved. What exactly is this guy planning on doing? o_O

But convincing Nokia isn't exactly an easy task. She's pretty set in her way and even if we tried, it's doubtful it would succeed. Besides, I haven't exactly seen anything catastrophic happen yet. Yet is the keyword, but, still. However, we get a call from a Rebel Tamer needing our help and Yuugo decides to come with us.

So we go to the person in question who's being harassed by another hacker. Apparently he's mad because he was called a has-been. Seriously?! Either way we're forced to intervene and the guy is relieved to see us and that we have Yuugo with us. Yuugo then states the obvious to the opressive hacker. If he let something like name-calling hurt his pride, he must not have a lot of pride to begin with. BURN. :derp:

Obviously this leads to a fight with a bunch of Ultimates. But help from Yuugo and my own Ultimate Digimon lead to eventual victory. Yuugo then states to the other hacker that Zaxons door is open to everyone before the hacker leaves. He then asks the Rebel Tamer hacker why they joined. Who answers by saying because he likes EDEN and hates what it's become and that Nokia is honest. Well... she certainly is I can at least give her that.

Yuugo then asks us to protect Nokia once again before leaving. But not before saying the next time we meet that we would be enemies. I see... well I guess we'll deal with that when the time comes. Case complete apparently.

Next chapter time. Which starts with Yuugo giving an impassioned speech to a bunch of Zaxon and Demon hackers that apparently their 'Hackers Paradise' has been found. Under Zero. Which was apparently in the original EDEN but then hid by the new founders. It's been located in the Valhalla server and he asks all the hackers to assist him in getting it back so they can reach their paradise. Okay...? o_O

Yuugo seems to want to restore EDEN to the way it's 'original creator intended' and Fei seems to think his dream will come true.

But apparently this was a future scene as the scene said 'Let's rewind a bit' WAIT WHAT?!

We are then 'summoned' by Nokia to meet her in the EDEN Free Area. Which is where I stopped.

    Next time:

What exactly is going on here? What is 'Under Zero?' How is it a paradise for hackers? How did they even find out it's in the Valhalla server? TOO MANY QUESTIONS AGAIN.

Also... I've realized something about Yuugo. We've never seen him in the real world. DON'T TELL ME HE'S THE ORIGINAL EDEN SYNDROME PATIENT. I guess that would explain why the ghost boy image looks like him which always appears before an Eater appears... but... still...

To be honest we've never seen Fei in the real world either. We'll see I guess...
  4. We arrive back into the Avalon server but can't seem to get Arata the invitation URL. However, after we take out some Digimon that seems to allow him to get in, which he finds suspicious. Hmm... o_O

Either way we explore the area until... we come across another Eater. YEP. TOTALLY NOT SUSPICIOUS AT ALL. But we defeat it.

But... all's well doesn't end well this time. We enter the secret room and... it's... creepy. It looks like a room specifically for Rie Kishibe. We even find her panties... WAIT WHAT?! *coughs* Anyway...

We find the data we're looking for in the form of a journal. However... it looks like Yuuko got caught by Rie. But that isn't exactly the only problem. A crap ton of Eaters appeared at the EDEN event as well. WHICH I'M SURE TOTALLY WASN'T INTENTIONALLY CAUSED BY KAMISHIRO OR ANYTHING. ::S:

Not good... definitely not good. Plus, not surprisingly, they're blaming it all on hackers again. Because they're an easy scapegoat apparently. Rie threatens Yuuko to 'forget' to take care of her brother (who has EDEN Syndrome) if she gets on her bad side again and to not take her data. BLACKMAILING *****. I CAN'T WAIT TO FIGHT HER. SERIOUSLY.

However... Yuuko does something quite brave. She threatens Rie right back by saying she won't allow her dirty mits on her father's legacy so easily. Which is EDEN of course. YOU GO GIRL. :twi:

However... after Yuuko leaves, guess who shows up? Yep. Akemi Suedou. Rie talks to him about some sort of 'plan' and if it's coming together to which he responds yes and that the Eaters are acting 'exactly as predicted.' However... he seems to notice that we're there but says nothing. Arata pretty much sums it up quite well. WHOSE SIDE IS THIS GUY ON EXACTLY?! :sigh:

So... the data is decoded and we find out about a plan that Kamishiro is doing all of this for. Something called the 'Paradise Lost' plan. I'm afraid to find out what it is they're trying to do...

The Digital Waves are apparently just a 'side effect' of them gathering everything for 'Paradise Lost.' Not only that... the creator of the plan is... yep... Akemi Suedou again. We also find out that the first EDEN Syndrome patient occurred during an unexpected error during a beta test for EDEN. Yet Kamishiro continues to takes steps for things they consider 'trivial.' CAN WE JUST WAVE THE CORRUPTION FLAG NOW?

However... there weren't any files about Yuuko's father. Which saddens her. We try to make her feel better which she appreciates. She asks us if we want to go back to our old body. Well... yeah... we kind of do. Which she seems to think is obvious. Arata also gets to taste Kyoko's famous 'coffee' which has hilarious results. :derp:

Things are getting pretty serious now though. WAY to many questions and not enough answers. Whose side is Suedou on exactly? What is 'Paradise Lost?' Hopefully we'll have our answers...

But for now... looks like Ryota needs some help with a gift for Sakura and Nokia's team wants more help expanding their ranks. I also downloaded the DLC stuff. But there's only one I need to do so it shouldn't take long. All of that should be next time and perhaps more too.

    Next time:

Helping Ryota out with a gift for Sakura and helping Nokia expand her team. WHICH I'M SURE WON'T POSSIBLY INVOLVE A VERY HARD BATTLE. ::S:
  5. Obviously 16 wasn't final. Plus, you may be seeing more of this since I won't be going back to work anytime soon (for pretty obvious reasons). I don't want to beat this game too quickly and end up running out of games to play, but I also don't like sitting around doing nothing either.

    Either way...

We continue the Living Doll Club and Perfect Girl Society investigation. We encounter a shady business man who legitimately tries to sell us one. Awkwardly, he has one of Nokia. He claims that one isn't selling well. He'd better be glad Nokia isn't around for this... :derp:

Either way we discover why those involved in this have gone missing. The catch for all of this is that your not allowed to leave your room. Ever apparently. So you become like the main character of Welcome to the NHK I guess? ::S:

We find a Living Doll Club Arcade machine and Connect Jump into it. We find... an Infermon within. WHO TALKS IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS. Goodie.

Forced fight. Somewhat annoying fight but I come out victorious either way. :dunno:

The case ends seemingly as quickly as it began, as the businessman from earlier who tried to sell the dolls to us catches us coming out of the machine and we reveal ourselves to be a Cyber Sleuth. He claims he's made enough money and makes a run for it but not before leaving a mysterious URL behind. o_O

The case is complete but Kyoko wants us to investigate the URL which we do. Leading us to a strange open area in EDEN with only one person and a bunch of the living dolls who claims that he's in the real world and not EDEN despite us trying to convince him otherwise. Well then... :sigh:

After informing Kyoko she theorizes that those involved are having their bodies 'used' somehow in foreign countries. That's... disturbing...

We finally get through to the guy who discovers that there is no body to log out to... that's... bad... o_O

Well... case complete. I guess? We move on to Arata's comic challenge next involving some rare comic that's out of print. All this for manga? Arata as an otaku confirmed. :derp:

But we help him out because he's Arata and why not? We have to answer questions that Arata knows the answers to. Except for the final question which we have to get outside help with. When we reach the end though, we're too late and are the second person to show up. But Arata had fun and apparently knows the guy holding the event. Arata acts all 'loner-like' but he's clearly not and refuses to admit it.

Then... finally... at long last... WE'RE INFILTRATING KAMISHIRO. ABOUT FREAKING TIME.

We're getting help from Arata with his hacking expertise, our Connect Jump ability, and Yuuko's Kamishiro connections. We also inform Yuuko about our abilities and she takes it rather well and seems to realize that's how we got around mysteriously. The plan involves going to Kamishiro HQ for their big EDEN update revealing. Yuuko gets us in and we connect jump into a terminal. We're going after the Avalon server and some sort of 'secret room' where lots of confidential files are held for Kamishiro as well as potential true motives for Suedou and presumably Kamishiro as well.

Yuuko agrees to help... as long as we get her father's research files as well which may hold more clues to his so-called 'suicide' and possibly EDEN Syndrome as well. We agree. But Yuuko mentions it's either there or another server that has the strictest security for all of EDEN and Arata doesn't want to be involved in that. Yuuko theorizes that using the Digimon Capture program could make it possible to get into... but... she agrees that the only target will be Avalon and the secret room for now.

With everything set up we head out in disguises and Arata distracts the Kamishiro employees so we can get into one of the terminals. Which we do shockingly easily. o_O

That's all I was able to do though.

    Next time:

    FINALLY. ATTACK ON KAMISHIRO HQ.
But will it really go oh so smoothly? Somehow... I doubt it.
  6. We continue exploring the .hack-like Asakusa area. Some people apparently followed us thinking we could find the exit. YOU FOOLS. YEP THERE'S THE EATER AND IT'S EATING PEOPLE. :DFH:

Then... it... FREAKING TRANSFORMS. Into... a humanoid figure. OH GOODIE.

Honestly... worst fight in the game yet. One of my Digimon's got KO'd and I couldn't seem to do enough damage to it that it kept healing. UGH.

I had to employ the 'wear it down' tactic, which somehow worked, and I was able to eventually be victorious and everything returned to normal. We run into Suedou again who nags us for not informing him of what was going on. Why should we? Your way to damn suspicious. Either way Arata seems to realize this and is determined to investigate if Suedou is really just doing 'research' and to discover what Kamishiro is up to. By infiltrating their headquarters which he thinks he can do with our Connect Jump ability and his hacking expertise. Huh... looks like we have an ally in our struggle against Kamishiro at least? o_O

Either way Kyoko tells us to let Nokia do whatever she wants because she's not as thoughtless as she seems. If you say so. Also, she intends to wait on Arata's plan for the Kamishiro attack. Very well then. :dunno:

After all this we do one side case involving a website that's similar to Wikipedia called Digipedia. Someone is editing pages with Kansai dialect. In others words... it's like how 'Osaka' talked in Azumanga Daioh. That's kind of like a southern accent as well. Either way we investigate a dungeon and come across... a
    Tentomon?! REALLY?! o_O

Well... he certainly talks like Osaka from Azumanga Daioh and he gets mad at us when we inform him that what he says doesn't make sense. So we're forced to fight him. Which we win. So he agrees to stop and that was basically the end of it. Kay... ::S:

We find two more cases involving some sort of challenge given to Arata about some kind of comic (seriously?) and another case involving the Occult club again. But this time it's not supernatural. Apparently someone has been selling large life-like dolls of two of its members and they're freaked out about what otakus are doing to it. Understandable I guess? :dunno:

Kyoko informs us there may be a connection between this and some sort of 'Perfect Girl Society' where people have been going missing searching for their 'perfect girls' according to Matayoshi. You know... I'm starting to get used to the weirdness of these cases. Which worries me most of all.

Either way we'll do more investigation soon next time.

    Next time:

I'm unsure if there will be a next time, but if there is, we'll do more investigation into these 'living dolls' and possibly help Arata out with this 'challenge' he received.
  7. First off, I attempted Flamedramon. AND WON.

How? I just used 3 water Digimons. The Type/Attribute doesn't matter because Flamedramon doesn't have one. If you want specifics, I used MegaSeadramon, Frigimon, and Sorcerimon. So 1 Ultimate and 2 Champion water types. It was still a somewhat lengthy battle but I came out victorious either way.

Afterward, I continued the 'slasher' case and came across burn marks in Shinjuku. Wait, I thought it was a slasher, not an arsonist...

Either way I come across another area and have to do a lot of dodging while Kyoko and Matayoshi try to figure something out. The main character seems to be quite good at this for some reason. I suppose that's a good thing. But something needs to be done. Apparently, Kyoko wants to rely on our 'luck' again. SERIOUSLY?! *sighs* :sigh:

Either way, apparently it's actually a laser, and we may be able to Connect Jump into it. So we wait for our opportunity... and... wow. It worked. o_O

We explore the area and eventually come across... a Tankmon. Apparently it was a weapon created by a foreign military that was disposed of. How sad... :(

We're actually able to make it realize what it's doing and get it to stop. Until Matayoshi contacts us about being a detective and the Tankmon goes ballistic thinking we're just another 'government dog' sent after it and... yeah... forced fight.

We defeat it and get quite the sad outcome. The Tankmon wishes it was never created before digitizing. Matayoshi realizes that he bumbled this up but Kyoko realizes this may create an international incident and possibly World War III. GEE THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING THAT WILL HAPPEN IF A CERTAIN PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE WINS. *coughs* Anyway...

We move on to the next chapter... and see quite the scene involving Kamishiro and Rie Kishibe. First off, she reveals that Kamishiro did acquire the Nile Corporation illegally and she claims she fired all who were involved as well as announcing herself as new CEO and new updates for EDEN.

WELL CRAP. Matayoshi and Kyoko then state the obvious. Kamishiro is not to be underestimated. They somehow found out we were on to them and were ready to attack. So they did this in response. Even if we attacked head-on the result would have likely been the same. Still though... WHO'S THE JERK THAT LEAKED OUR MOVES?!

Either way, Matayoshi's superior's even fell for this and took all the evidence and quickly arrested a 'scapegoat.' Kamishiro basically admitted they did it but still took steps to ensure their 'brand' wasn't 'tainted.' UGH. IF THIS DOESN'T CONFIRM OUTRIGHT CORRUPTION I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL.

Either way... Nokia wants to talk to us so we leave. We see an ominous scene where Kyoko and Matayoshi worry what will happen to our body if Kamishiro finds out about us and our main character. However... Kyoko speculates that they already know and our leaving us alone on purpose. Yikes.

Nokia has made a decision. She wants to make a hacking team. WAIT WHAT?! Yeah... that's literally what she wants to do. But instead, she wants to make a team that protect Digimon and go after bad hackers. That's not a bad idea... but... her team name of 'Rebels' isn't that great. She also said the word 'Tamers' though. That'd be better. It sounds cooler, nicer, and is also the name of one of the Digimon seasons!! Well whatever I guess. She tries to get Arata, as well as us, to join. But Arata refuses. He says he doesn't have time for stuff like that.

I see... he meets Yuuko though before he leaves completely. He also wants to meet up with us in Shinjuku about something. Hmm... what could it be I wonder? o_O

Either way... Nokia is pretty angry about the whole thing and decides to be the leader herself. OH BOY. GOD HELP ALL THOSE INVOLVED. Still though... even though Arata was a jerk about this, it wasn't exactly a horrible idea. So we agree to help. She seems to think that she can even get Yuugo from Zaxon to join. His motives seem to be completely unknown but anything's possible?

Yuuko comes in and Nokia is shocked that we're friends wit her. Well... Yuuko certainly doesn't think we're friends. But Nokia claims that a friend of a friend makes her a friend because that's how it works. Does it? Sure I guess? But Yuuko leaves seeing that we're 'busy.' GOOD JOB NOKIA. :sigh:

We meet up with her in Kowloon and she complains about us being late again. You know... I could... not help you... *sighs* :pff:

Ironically, we run into Yuugo. Nokia tries to recruit him but he refuses because he believes that Nokia isn't the one to create 'normalcy.' He is. Okay...? :dunno:

We go around attempting to recruit other people for her team and gain a few shockingly. Though we had to fight someone just to get them to join. Not that it was a difficult battle though. This weirdness ends with her leading her new 'recruits' on an excursion through Kowloon. GOD HELP ALL OF YOU. Yuugo shows up again and asks us to protect Nokia if she encounters any truly bad hacker in her 'over-enthusiasm' to protect Digimon. Yuugo... we clearly don't have a choice in the matter when it comes to Nokia.

With this over we find out that Arata wants to investigate Eaters and the EDEN Syndrome more. He even went as far as to follow Akemi Suedou to do so. Which lead to the revelation that yes, Eater's eating people's consciousness in EDEN leads to the Syndrome but Suedou hasn't found the cure. At least not yet. Not only that, someone or something are intentionally creating Digital Waves that are causing the Digital Shifts in the real world. I kind of figured this though. Who would want to do this though? Yet another question with no answer. This is happening way too often.

Either way our investigation leads to us finding a strange Digital Shift in Shinjuku where the Access Point is and we... Connect Jump into it. As Arata watches. He's quite shocked to say the least. Our exploration leads us... to another area of Japan. Asakusa. Arata finally gets through to us and then demands an explanation. Not surprising really. So... we reveal everything to him. Yes. Everything.

Arata is quite saddened to learn we have EDEN Syndrome but it only seems to invigor him into investigating it more. He even apologizes for leaving us behind at the beginning of the game. But the main character seems to not care about that. Cool dude. No reason to dwell in the past anyway. We have to do something about all this. Of course... a Digital Shift just so happens to occur in our current location, which Arata realizes can't be a coincidence. Hmm... intriguing... o_O

We explore the Asakusa .hack-like area and fight some Digimon to unlock more of the area. They weren't difficult battles honestly.

What will we find further in? PLACE YOUR BETS. :derp:

    Next time:

We're gonna find another Eater. Come on. It's obvious. So we'll fight another one. With some other random cases again as well. When it comes to Kamishiro, all we can do is wait for them to make the first move. Which we shall. Then we shall POUNCE on them. Like a cat. Or something.
  8. Not much to talk about honestly.

The next case I did involved a mother worried about her son that had become a 'shut in' and was addicted to a chat room and specifically a certain girl he kept chatting with and wasn't going to school or even talking to his family. He only cared about chatting with the girl. When did this become Welcome to the NHK? :dunno:

Either way, we reluctantly agree to use the son's account to act like him to find out more about the girl in question and to make sure that there's nothing suspicious about her. Of course, the mother could just talk to her son, but, I guess that would be too easy? :pff:

Anyway not surprisingly it gets to the point where the girl suspects something and starts asking us random questions about the son. Which we try to lie our way into answering correctly but she seems to bust us and a Digimon image pops up. Well then... o_O

So off we go Connect Jumping. It turns out to be a Minervamon and she's quite angry at us for what we did. We're not given a chance to explain and our forced to fight.

It was a lengthy battle but I came out victorious either way.

We then explain the situation and it actually makes the Minervamon want to help out and get the son to talk to his family more, as he seemed to be really concerned about the family. Sheesh, what happened to talking? Well oh well I guess. All's well that ends well and we allow the Minervamon to stay and to be good friends with the son. :smile2:

We move on... to some gourmet who wants us to review multiple restaurants in Nakano. Kyoko also 'enlists' Nokia and Arata to 'help.' This was... quite weird. All we did was roam around eating at the restaurants with the main character giving his thoughts about the food. Um... okay...? :sigh:

Nokia ran into Yuuko though who didn't say much. Easy case. I did a few Digi Farm cases after that and then moved on to another important case. We got an 'ominous' feeling in Shinjuku and felt what seemed like wind in the area.

It turned out that Matayoshi needs help with a case involving a serial slasher. Luckily it's not the murdering kind. More like the vandalism kind. Where lots of areas have been marked up. Security footage of us walking around Shinjuku that Kyoko 'borrowed' reveals that we almost got our head chopped off if it wasn't for our ominous feeling.

Yeah... we need to do something before someone really does end up murdered and this does become a serial killing case...

That's all I did though. See? Not much. I legitimately forgot about Flamedramon. Maybe next time? :dunno:

    Next time:

Flamedramon Optional Battle attempt. If I remember? Who's behind the slashing? Is it really a 'kamaitaichi' like Kyoko seems to think? We'll find out and more cases as well obviously.

    ::S:
  9. We find Ryota... getting... something done to him. Whatever it is can't be good. They're Demon hackers so... WE'RE COMING RYOTA!!

This obviously leads to a fight. With Nokia having us do most of the work again. Not that I wasn't planning on doing most of it anyway... :dunno:

Not too difficult and this leads to Ryota being somewhat of a badass and getting the information on Sakura's location. Specifically the headquarters for the Demon hackers. Ryota then faints yet again. OH GOD. HE DIDN'T JUST DIE DID HE?!

Well... we'll have to focus on that later. There's an optional boss in the area. Flamedramon. But I ignore it because I'm pretty sure I'm not good enough for it yet. I may try to come back and try it later on though. I'll save before doing so, that way if things go HORRIBLY I can just... you know... restart and be fine.

Either way we head off to the Demon Headquarters to confront Jimiken. We try to snap Sakura out of her 'trance' or whatever you want to call it but it's no good. We confront Jimiken and Nokia... gets camera shy when she realizes that they may be being seen by lots of people currently. However, the camera is only on Jimiken. Either way, Jimiken remembers Nokia and gets immediately annoyed. Trust me jerk, I'm more annoyed.

In the end we confront Jimiken. I wasn't confident in this. However, I've been working towards getting a few Digimons to Ultimate now. So I brought one with me. DoruGreymon specifically. I'm fairly sure this was a good move.

It was still a lengthy battle but I came out victorious in the end. I didn't really struggle that much and only had to use a few items. Perhaps bringing DoruGrey worked? :dunno:

Afterwards Jimiken keeps talking about 'You-know-who' who turns out to be Rie from Kamishiro. WELL THANKS FOR CONFIRMING OUR ENEMIES. :sigh:

However... Zaxon of all groups show up. Yuugo and Fei again. What are they doing here...? They warn us to not get involved and Fei... attacks Jimiken and he digitizes. UM... WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! o_O

That aside... Nokia refuses to back down from Fei which leads to her fighting Fei. She gets trounced quite easily. With her TigerVespamon. However... before things escalate... Yuugo gets her to stop and says he'll send the information about all the people that got 'hypnotized' to our terminal and they leave. Yeah... I seriously can't tell if Zaxon are our enemies or not. :pff:

Either way everyone is recovering in the hospital now and Matayoshi assures Ryota that there are specialists that can bring them out of the subliminal message hypnosis. WHEW. RYOTA'S OKAY. :smile2:

Nokia wants to talk to us alone so we go to do that and we learn that Matayoshi is 'removing barriers' in the Kamishiro and Nile Corporation case. Good to know that it's at least getting progress.

Nokia says to us that she can't forgive the hackers for using Digimon like nothing but tools and puppets and says that she wants to help us out but doesn't know how. But if she figures something out she'll let us know. Even Nokia is maturing... o_O

We move on to side cases afterwards. Some gamer who doesn't like someone having a higher score than him on a certain game and he thinks he's cheating. So we try to figure out whats going on by Connect Jumping into the arcades on the 4th floor of Nakano. We explore another dungeon-like area and come across a GrapLeomon who thinks we're another enemy but doesn't care if we're a video game character or not as long as we're strong. So we're forced into yet another fight.

Ultimates are the best. Seriously. Thank you Digitamemon. With him and other Champions I come out victorious and relatively unscathed. He says he'll stop because the video game characters were too easy and will go after detectives instead. THAT WASN'T THE POINT.

*sighs* Whatever. We solved the case at least. I guess? I never knew Digimon liked video games... I wonder if they like Persona... *coughs* Anyway...

That was all I did. I'm starting to get Ultimates now. Which will undoubtedly help me. I wonder if Ultimate abuse would defeat Flamedramon? I may try that but it may not work. Well we'll see.

    Next time:

More side cases and I may attempt the Flamedramon Optional Boss. Will I win? Or am I still not strong enough to beat him? We shall find out I suppose... :dunno:
  10. We accept the Shibuya Records employee's case. It turns out that there has been some sort of 'prank' going on where a certain CD keeps showing up in front of the other CDs for everyone to see. We listen to it... it's... unique? Uh... it's bad. I mean really bad.

But for some reason, the employee seems to think that it's 'unique' and a 'different kind of music.' Uh... sure? Whatever you say? Either way it looks like the only way to catch the culprit is to stake out the store at night which is likely when they are doing it. We do so and... find a Digital Shift. This isn't really surprising me anymore... :dunno:

From within it... comes... Etemon. OF COURSE.

In order to get anywhere we have to act like we're fans (not really...) and when we do so, he drags us into the Digital Shift so we can 'rock out on stage with him' NO. OH GOD NO. SOMEONE HELP ME.

Whew. We're okay. For now at least. We find another labyrinth-like area and we chase Etemon around in it and get nowhere. So we Connect Jump into a vending machine and come out from behind him. He seems to think we're obsessed with him and want to destroy him so no one else can have him. NO. THAT'S DEFINITELY NOT IT. YOU'RE AN IDIOT WITH THE COMPLETELY WRONG IDEA. :sigh:

Either way this leads to a somewhat ridiculous battle where he kills 3 of my digimon. 3.

But I find a way to achieve victory either way. :pff:

Afterwards, the Shibuya Records employee gives a speech about him and his music and even promises to feature his music in the store legitimately because it's a different kind of music that could catch on. Uh... sure? Either way this weirdness ends afterwards with an emotional Etemon who's happy to have a real fan being nice to him.

Another chapter begins... and it begins... with a business man entering the agency. Kyoko constantly thinks he's a salesman. But he turns out to be a client. Awkward... ::S:

Apparently... someone fooled him into thinking they were selling Digimon Capture devices and they stole a really rare Digimon Medal from him. So he wants it back. But just it. Apparently they stole money as well but he just wants his medal back. Okay... o_O

The person who normally buys medals tells us its too rare for him and suggests us to try Kowloon Lv. 4. Oh goodie. So I unlock that and explore it. The random battles are even starting to get lengthy now...

We explore and find the seller in question but he refuses to give us any information due to client-seller privilege. I thought that only worked for doctors and lawyers? However... when we mention that we know Matayoshi and that we're his 'secret weapon' the guy... freaks out and sings like a canary and tells us to explore farther in. Well... that was unexpected... o_O

We find the person in question who happens to be a part of the new hacker team called 'Demon' that branched out from Zaxon. THEY STOLE THE NAME FROM PERSONA. I JUST KNOW IT.

Either way... we confront the hacker and somewhat Bugs Bunny our way into a confession basically. Which leads to another fight. This one was at least bearable unlike the Etemon boss. We get the medal back and get notification of another case so we go back to the agency quickly. That was fast...

We find Sakura's mother there. Who informs us... that she's run away. Uh oh. Apparently she's been watching a certain Jimiken video constantly. THAT GUY AGAIN. I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS.

Also... we learn more about Matayoshi. Apparently he has a grudge again Kamishiro because they basically 'snuffed out' his partner, who was Kyoko's father and they've been secretly seeking revenge ever since. They want to catch Kamishiro 'red-handed' so to speak. Well... that might not be very hard. Because there has to be a 'sponsor' allowing Jimiken to do his video and it's implied that it's Kamishiro. WELP. WE KNOW OUR MAIN ENEMY NOW. IT'S PRACTICALLY CONFIRMED. Zaxon/Demon are pretty much grunts at this point.

We run into Nokia and talk to her a bit about what's going on and she's disgusted and wants to help because Sakura is her friend as well but we walk away because she'll just cause trouble. She then demands to know more. :derp:

We also run into Ryota and inform him as well. He's immediately concerned and apparently informs us that there may be some leads in Kowloon Lv. 4. Despite the obvious danger, he runs to save Sakura. Oh goodie. :sigh:

We return to the agency and Nokia shows up again. Kyoko then informs us that the video apparently contains what is pretty much a 'hypnotic' subliminal message and warns Nokia to not watch it too much. Um... sure subliminal messages have some effects, but that kind of effect?! Well... game logic I guess. :dunno:

Nokia insists on coming along so she joins us as a guest character. We head off for Kowloon Lv. 4 afterwards.

That was pretty much all I did this time.

    Next time:

The 'Demon' hackers are apparently lead by Jimiken. Not surprising really. We'll get to confront this jerk again. Will I survive? Some of his battles haven't exactly been 'easy.' I'll just try my best I suppose. Still though... will this really go so smoothly with Kamishiro behind the scenes as well?

I suppose we'd better hope for the best... ::S:
  11. Okay... so... a bit of confusion honestly. There was a lot of talk of Japanese legends and folklore that was somewhat confusing when I arrived in the Nakano Underpass. So it's not exactly easy to explain.

The 'gist' of it seems to be that the area are 'ley lines' that gather Digital Waves and other energy. Not only that... it leads to a government facility. Specifically a Kamishiro Research Building. Well then... they're CLEARLY up to something now. But Kyoko says making moves against the government is too risky and would ruffle the wrong feathers. But it'll have to be done when the time comes. Because Kamishiro are CLEARLY using this for SOMETHING nefarious. They're gathering energy for SOMETHING. Well... SOMEONE is anyway. o_O

We go to the building in question and infiltrate a network that just so happens to have a digital anomaly in it for us to Connect Jump into. What do we find within? OF COURSE IT'S ANOTHER EATER.

After that unexpected battle... Kyoko says we may have possibly saved the area from becoming a labyrinth, which the Nakano Underpass was already somewhat labyrinth-like. Which is good and all, but, Kamishiro are CLEARLY a corrupt power-hungry company. Which we're going to have to deal with in time I'm sure. Which we will. With Digimon.

More investigation is needed so we do other cases. A friend of the main character's, name Ryota, needs our help. Apparently he needs a job that pays a good amount of money in a short amount of time that is easy and it doesn't matter if it's 'sketchy' or not. Um... what are you up to...? o_O

Either way, after finding a few jobs for him, he decides the best one is to take 'ghost' pictures of the 'White Boy.' TOTALLY SMART. :sigh:

He 'enlists' our help and we head to Kowloon to search. We don't find anything not surprisingly so there's only one option left... fake it. We try to do so but then... the actual 'White Boy' shows up. Somehow... I'm not surprised. Ryota tries to take a picture but no luck. So the picture is faked with us. With ridiculous results. :derp:

Anyway it turns out that there was a somewhat 'ghostly' like image in the picture that Ryota goes to show his client. But it turns out that Sakura, another friend of ours and his, has a birthday coming up and he was doing all of this just to get her a present and she followed him when he acted suspicious with us when she confronted us earlier. She must of somehow got in the frame to form the 'ghostly' image. Kyoko realizes that Ryota has unrequited love for her and Sakura seems to love someone else. What's with this game? Seriously?

I did some other Digi-Farm cases that I found through Farm 'Investigation' as well and even got a new Farm Island. Which is good because I had quite a lot of Digimon.

We also met some famous girl who works at Shibuya Records and when she learns that we are a Cyber Sleuth that does random acts of kindness... she seems to hint that she will be using that as well.

That's all that was done this time.

    Next time:

What does the Shibuya Records employee need from us? What else will we end up doing? When do we get to bust into Kamishiro Headquarters through the front door? Time will tell I suppose...
  12. I actually played it on Saturday but forgot to post about it.

    Either way... more side cases.

The first one is investigating someone's cell phone that keeps showing flower pictures. It's a guy too which he doesn't like and his friend thinks he's weird. Um... can't guys like flowers too? :dunno:

Either way we investigate and find a Lillymon responsible for it that apparently happens to be in love with the guy in question. You know... I'd say something here... but... I think I won't. Because reasons. :sigh:

We're forced to stop her by force and come out victorious. When the Lillymon learns it's disrupting the guy in question she agrees to stop but then reveals she might hang up his calls with girls. So we tell him all of this when we return and he's confused. However... he then reveals that it shouldn't be a problem. Because he's into guys. You know... I'd say something here... but... I'm glad that Namco Bandai kept this. It's good to see this sort of topic in a video game. Your choice man your choice. :smile2:

Next up is a website about boxing that is popular that went down. One of the creators of the site thinks it's due to popularity but wants us to try to figure out what the problem is. When we do... we find a bunch of Gaomon that are boxing fans that are slugging the server by watching multiple screens. In order to resolve this we have to defeat all of them in fights to get them to stop. Which we do and they agree to only watch on one screen when we inform them that others cannot view the website. All's well that ends well and the site is fixed and the client is disappointed when he is informed that it wasn't due to popularity. We fixed your problem, just appreciate that we helped at all.

Next up... is a case from a Government Agency?!

Turns out they want us to see what's beyond a place called the Nakano Underpass where all of the electricity and pipes are. An underground tunnel so to speak. Only certain individuals can get it open but it's been locked the whole time. How did that happen? Apparently the workers have also heard disconcerting moans coming from behind the door as well. o_O

We go to investigate but for some reason... we can't Connect Jump. Until we feel 'disappointed' which somehow allows us to finally Connect Jump. Okay...? Kyoko seems to think that Connect Jump works when it works and doesn't when it doesn't. That... doesn't exactly explain the ability though. :dunno:

Either way we have to use a new ability called 'Copy and Paste' inside the cyberspace in order to get access to the Nakano Underpass. Which we do.

However this was all I was able to accomplish. What will we find inside Nakano Underpass? We shall see...

    Next time:

Beyond Nakano Underpass lies... something. I'M SURE IT TOTALLY WON'T BE ANOTHER EATER OR ANYTHING. ::S:
  13. I approach the item in question and extract the data. But someone's coming!! We hide. IT'S FREAKING ZAXON. AM I RIGHT AGAIN?!

Either way... we get discovered. By a freaking SNEEZE of all things. SERIOUSLY?! However... we get saved by Yuugo AGAIN. This guy seems to show up at the best of times... but... it's starting to get suspicious. This doesn't really help us though. Because Jimiken reappears again. OH GOD. NOT AGAIN. YOUR NOT A ROCK STAR. QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU ARE ONE. I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE SELLING A LOT OF CDS.

*sighs* Things get... weird afterwards. Yuugo is suspicious of why Zaxon is there as well as Jimiken. But Jimiken turns the same question on Yuugo as well. Why are all of these people here? We're not really given an answer. Because we're forced into yet another fight with Jimiken. Yet another harsh fight that had to be won with item abuse. But win I did.

Jimiken again claims he had weak Digimon. Is that really it? Or is it you? Perhaps I'm just too good? :derp:

Either way they all run like cowards. Yeah you better run. Yuugo says he's established an escape method for us so we make our quick exit as well. Back at the agency we take a look at the files. Next to the researcher that Yuuko had us first look into, there was another. Akemi Suedou. HIM AGAIN. YEP. HE'S OFFICIALLY SUSPICIOUS NOW. Apparently he was the 'genius' behind the entirety of EDEN. Whoa. Kamishiro continues to look like a corrupted company. Matayoshi says he'll handle things from here. He's an experienced detective so he should be okay. Hopefully. o_O

Either way we move on to another case. Shockingly, from the police woman that confronted us after the Shinjuku Underground labyrinth. Makiko Date who is apparently a part of the Cyber Crimes Division. This... is awkward... Kyoko ends up leaving us alone for us to speak. GEE THANKS.

Date threatens to arrest us (Gee how nice...) before eventually delving into the case at hand. Apparently... a lot of people have been going missing at Akihabara and it's caused a stir but it's not an official case so Date wants our help. She doesn't want us informing Matayoshi though and seems to think she's allowed to use Matayoshi's 'secret weapon' if he's allowed to use it. When did we become a secret weapon? :dunno:

Either way... this woman is seriously obsessed with arresting us. We haven't done anything wrong. It just looks like we have. Either way we make our way to Akihabara to investigate. Some weird nerd claims he has info for us but won't give it to us unless we confess his love to someone for him. NOT AGAIN. WHAT IS WITH THIS STUFF?! Not that we have a choice...

When we do so we are told by the woman in question that he's actually a stalker. So we do the only logical thing. We go back to him and threaten him until he talks. Apparently there may be a connection between the disappearances and the Comimani forum on EDEN. So we're off to there next. However, no one there seems to know anything. Except for one girl. Who doesn't want to talk there because she seems to think the culprit is one of the members. She tells us to meet her in the real world to talk there. Well... I guess better safe then sorry? ::S:

Before we leave though... we run into Arata again. What's he doing here? He asks us the same thing as we try to not tell him but he bugs us again until we do. Then, all of a sudden, he decides to help us out. Uh... thanks? I'm pretty sure this guy is a comic/manga fan now though. He has his own sides he doesn't like to show. o_O

We go back to the real world and meet with the informant who claims the disappearances began after someone posted an original manga to the forum. But not all of the comments were nice. Yep. Looks like those that left negative comments are the ones who went missing. That's a little drastic isn't it?

Either way when we go back to the agency Arata is there using the computer and locates the data that was seemingly gone from the forum. It happens to be in Kowloon, which isn't really surprising. We get an ominous scene with our informant and then we're off. In Kowloon we find another code to crack that leads to us finding a Digimon (Wisemon) that attacks us. Well then...

Not too difficult a battle. Especially with Arata as a guest character. Either way it runs before we can capture it. We head back to Akihabara only to find... OH GOODIE. ANOTHER .HACK LIKE AREA.

When we find this, we also find multiple people inside as well, including our informant. It also looks like Arata knows her. She seems to be alive, thank god, but unresponsive. We quickly realize that there is likely another Eater around. Which is confirmed when we run into Akemi Suedou yet again. He only confirms our susicions and assures that everything will return to normal if the Eater is defeated. Well... there's not much choice and we have to clearly do this anyway. We can't confront Akemi here... but... soon...

We run around and find another sphere like in the Shinjuku Underground. We get thrown into a fight with a GoldNumemon (seriously?) and take it out to unlock another area.

    We advance... and... well...

Looks like the girl that was claiming to be stalked was actually the culprit. Arata knows her as well. Nishino is her name apparently. She was the one making the manga and 'punishing' the ones leaving negative comments. She wants Arata's praise as well. Obsessive much? Arata does the only logical thing. He tells her that he isn't laughing. She assumes he's giving negative comments as well... and... the same Wisemon from before. But this time... it's MUCH bigger. As well as harder. A harsh fight ensues that I somehow survive. Champions and yet I'm still struggling. Ugh... well... I guess all that matters is that I won. :pff:

    Are we done? lolnope.

An Eater shows up. OF COURSE. RIGHT ON CUE. It eats Nishino's data (OH CRAP) and we fight it. Another annoying battle but I'm able to come out victorious. Things return to normal and all the missing people return and regain consciousness as well. Except Nishino. Who contracted EDEN Syndrome thanks to the Eater. Not... good... :sigh:

Arata seems to think that the Eaters are eating the consciousness of people which is causing them to go into the EDEN Syndrome comatose states. But defeating the Eater doesn't seem to return them to normal. So is there really no cure for EDEN Syndrome? If so... we're... quite screwed considering we're an EDEN Syndrome patient that is somehow still walking around.

Let's hope this isn't the case. That was basically all I did though.

    Next time...

Is there really no cure for EDEN Syndrome? Let's hope not. We start doing side cases again. What ridiculousness will we face this time? We will face more Eaters?

    Time will tell...
  14. *sighs*

With RAW and SmackDown one day after the next and other TV shows coming back, it's pretty much caused me to not have as much time to play this game as I would like. Which is actually quite unfortunate because I really do like this game...

    Either way...

I get the coffee beans for Kyoko, but before I return them, I find Yuuko again. Cue the awkward staring and saying nothing again. SMOOTH. REAL SMOOTH.

Apparently... she was watering at the mouth over... some kind of gourmet battle? Okay... o_O

Anyway... when I return the coffee beans we find Yuuko waiting for us. Looks like she's our client once again. What does want this time? :dunno:

Now she wants us to investigate her father. Who apparently died of a suicide. Though Yuuko doesn't think so. Our previous investigation was apparently a 'test' to see if she could trust us and we passed with flying colors. Yay? Quite the ruse though. She claims she can't trust a lot of people. Honestly... I think it's understandable. The more I hear about Kamishiro... the more I start to think they may be the real enemies with Zaxon being minor next to them. :sigh:

So we agree to do so. We question the guy from Yuuko's previous investigation but he doesn't seem to remember much and gets a dizzy spell but tells us to try talking to his daughter instead. Which we do. She informs us that her father used to work for a place called the 'Nile Corporation' which, is then discovered, to be the company behind the avatars in EDEN. Apparently, they were supposedly obtained illicitly by Kamishiro. They get more and more suspicious by the Chapter...

We learn that Kyoko's father and Matayoshi previously investigated the Nile Corporation but were forced to stop due to pressure from up top and had no choice but to hand all files over to Kamishiro, which practically confirmed the applied sense of 'we did it but you can't do anything to us.' Corruption much?

So... we need to get the files back. But how? Kyoko tells us to see Mirei to get something from her, which turns out to be an ability that will hide us and our account information. Effectively, making us invisible. How... convenient. Mirei brags that it could be used for a variety of crimes but believes in us to not use it for such things due to our connection to Digimon and teases us to discover who she truly is. Right... o_O

Anyway... we end up 'obtaining' help from Yuuko to get us into Kamishiro Enterprises. She actually agrees because she wants to see if her suspicions are correct. She's able to get us into the main lobby but that's all. Should be good enough I suppose. We go there and Yuuko... is acting weird. Not like herself. She's putting on too much of an act. We try to tell her that she doesn't have to do that because we're already friends but she takes it as part of the act. :DFH:

We have to find a way into the 'Avalon server' to get the information we need. We use our new invisibility ability and discover an avatar we can Connect Jump into. That's... new... either way we do so. As we make our way through the maze... Kyoko checks in with Yuuko. Things are pretty tense but Kyoko believes in us. Good to know?

However... things take a turn for the worst. Of course. Kyoko discovers that Yuuko's digivice has a a well-done wiretap on it that is being used to monitor her conversations. Uh oh... they've been listening in this whole time huh? Great. Just great.

Kyoko suggests to Yuuko to get out of there. She's worried about us but Kyoko seems to think we'll find a way to handle things ourselves. Well... yeah I suppose we'll be okay. I have Digimon after all. Mostly Champions... so... there's really not much anyone could do to stop me from just waltzing right out.

Yuuko makes her escape. Things are tense... how will this turn out? We'll see...

    Next time:

Kamishiro Enterprises infiltration fallout. What exactly is this company up to? Are they possibly even the ones pulling Zaxon's strings? So many questions... so little answers... :dunno:
  15. Looks like this time we get a case from one of the occult member who is claiming that posts from her Digi-Line weren't made by her. They were... quite shocking. However, she claims that they are stating her true feelings. Your true feelings... are raunchy. ::S:

In this investigation... we obtain help from the Wanyamon we helped before!! Apparently it's called 'Pete' now. But a cute Digimon like this as a 'Persona' like support character is the best!! :p

Either way we agree to look into it. We bait the hacker by sending a false statement of love (SERIOUSLY?!) and go to EDEN late at night as this is how it occurred in the first place. Okay... why would you sleep in a digital location in the first place?! Choices of where to sleep aside... the bait works. We find... A LITTLE KID?! SERIOUSLY?! o_O

Apparently... the kid is genius and even works for EDEN in R&D and made something called the 'Baku' program which pretty much allowed him to do what he did with the girl. But he's unsure of how long he can control it and it's gone well beyond what he thought it would. So we're left with no choice but to confront it. He asks us not to destroy it. Sure... but only if it cooperates. :dunno:

I maneuver my way through another 'dungeon' before finding... a Clockmon. Which apparently the 'Baku' has fused with, leaving no sentience of the Digimon remaining. He refuses to listen to reason. Leaving us no choice.

The fight was actually pretty easy. Maybe because I'm playing smart again? Well... oh well. :pff:

All's well that ends well and 'Pete' says he wants to help us out more because it was fun. YES. YOU CAN HELP ME ANYTIME. :omg:

But why did the kid do all of this and pick on the girl? Kyoko claims he was teasing her because it was 'love at first sight' and he was trying to get her attention. Okay... where is this game going all of a sudden? :dunno:

Well... whatever I guess. Kyoko then tells us to get more coffee beans but it's not a case this time. I guess we're her 'errand boy' too.

Either way I discovered some cases through Digi-Farm investigation so I did those first. I'm having trouble with one but at least I can grind some Digimon and get more Digimon this way? I've pretty much Digivolved all my Rookies to Champions at this point.

Well... extra game content is always good. I want this game to last. It's too fun and I don't want it ending to quickly. This was all I accomplished this time.

    Next time:

More Digi-Farm cases and we may or may not be sneaking into a certain suspicious company soon.
