Sorry for the delay with this. This hasn't been the greatest week for me. All kinds of disconcerting health news for me. But if worse comes to worse I'll let all of you know what's going on when the time comes. Either way... I take on the 'Eater' It was... quite the battle. The jerk kept healing itself. But persistency wins the day yet again and I eventually come out victorious. SWEET SWEET REVENGE. After all of this... we come out of the area as if we weren't in there at all... and... Arata... laughs about all of it. Quite creepily I might add. Either way... he wants to help in the Eater research but the guy from before is nowhere to be found. He ends up abandoning us as he runs from the police woman from before. We end up running from her afterwards. Looks like Kyoko is suspecting that someone is behind what happened with the subway going all .hack-like. But why? Hopefully we'll find out. Plus, she is already familiar with the Digital World and other 'parallel' worlds. She's... unusually knowledgeable... I then did another case with a Hagurumon losing it's gear. Looks like the battles are getting tougher. My poor Rookies were getting thrashed. Which means I guess I'd better start using Champions. Yikes... Either way I find the gear and return it. Next up... was helping out some kind of club that is into the occult. They want to investigate some sort of urban legend involving... SHIBUYA?! Wait a minute... THAT'S THE SAME AREA AS NOT ONLY THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU BUT PERSONA 5 AS WELL. Yeah... this game rules. Anyway apparently a certain 'song' has to be sung by 5 people as they make their way to the Shibuya crossing and they all have to reach there at the same time. If this is successful... apparently it's suppose to bring someone who's dead back to life. WAIT A MINUTE. THIS IS WAY TO COINCIDENTAL. Am I playing The World Ends With Digimon now?! Either way... Kyoko helps out and we're forced to be the 5th person. It's successful and then... EVERYONE IN SHIBUYA DISAPPEARS. IF I SEE A COUNTDOWN CLOCK THAT SAYS 'YOU HAVE 7 DAYS' I'M GOING TO FREAK OUT. But I didn't. Aww... Instead... I get a freaky girl instead who disappears and reappears randomly before duplicating and seriously being weird. When we complete this... we get quite the creepy scene where the girl claims she wants to kill everyone to make herself feel better. How... wonderful... Apparently this occult group is starting to like us to much because I've discovered yet another case from them. But that's all I was able to do for today. Next time: More investigations into urban legends and the occult I guess? Also... how will I manage my party now that I'm running mostly into Champions? Can I survive the difficulty ramp up? Well... I guess we'll see...
So... everyone is gawking at something in Shinjuku. We go to investigate. Before I do that though, I go back and do some digivolving since apparently this game already wants you to have Champions even though I still feel like it's early game. Well... I guess I'd better considering my recent struggles. It looks like... some sort of 'glitch' or something. Kind of like the areas we've been 'jumping' into. Before we can investigate further though... we run into Arata. This guy shows up at the weirdest times... Either way... we get confronted by the police woman that tried to arrest us back at the beginning of the game when we showed up in our weird cyber-form. Not only that... she seems to recognize Arata. Who identifies him as being apart of a hacking team. Uh oh... I hope it's not Zaxon... although, if I recall correctly, I believe I remember there being another hacking team besides Zaxon. Can't remember their name though. Perhaps their the 'good' hacking team? Though then again... there were two teams in Ruby/Sapphire and they were both bad. I guess we'll find out eventually. Either way... we run from the police and enter the glitched area. Yep. Totally not suspicious at all. This area... is all glitched out. Kind of reminds me of .hack. Arata theorizes that it's the Digital World somehow merged with the human world. Perhaps? Also... he shows us the Digimon he has and joins us as a 'guest' character. Yay? Well... more help is always better... As we continue... we explain to Arata our job as a Cyber Sleuth. He tried to make it seem like he's not interested... but then... barrages us with questions wanting to know more about it. Well... I guess even Arata has his funny side. But then... we get another weird flashback and we see the ghost image again. Which Arata believes since we wouldn't joke around with stuff like that. Then... Arata informs us that we're being followed by someone. Wow. We're so great at our job... Either way... the one following us is quite the weird one. Named Akemi Suedou who apparently works for the Kamishiro company. He was following us because he wanted our help apparently. He answers some questions for us to make up for him following us. First off, it turns out the area we're in is some sort of 'Digital Wave' that is a collection of human memories in cyberspace. Not only that... but... Kamishiro knew about the monstrosity that attacked us in the early game, which ticks off Arata. They knew all along and said nothing and stonewalled him. They like to keep their secrets it seems. This isn't exactly the best 'secret' though. Because we are told by Akemi that the monstrosity that attacked us isn't a Digimon at all and just a monster that eats data. Simply called an 'Eater.' That's to the point I guess. He wants our help in defeating it. Which apparently Digimon are the best at because they are resilient to their data being damaged or 'eaten' in this case. Ironically, it is sort of why we are here as well. For 'revenge' as Arata puts it. So we agree. However... this guy is way too suspicious. I don't trust him. Well... whatever... I'll try to keep an eye on him the best I can. We explore the area and eventually make are way past a gate to a lower area. Unfortunately this was all I was able to accomplish. Right before a true fight with this so-called 'Eater.' Next time: We take on the 'Eater.' Will things go better this time than they did last time? Well... I certainly hope so. I have a group of Champions so hopefully I'll be okay. Hopefully.
So I work my way through a Digital Space and eventually come across the mystery girl from the weird transmissions. It was actually a Digimon. Wanyamon to be exact. What? You were expecting an overreaction? Nothing is really surprising me anymore in this game... Either way... the cold was being caused, not surprisingly, by a Frigimon. So we 'CONFRONT THE ENEMY' and take it on. Pretty easy honestly. Turns out, some mystery computer only heard about in legend was behind the wall in the K-Cafe. Not only that, Kyoko is able to determine that the cat Digimon was used as a 'time capsule' for someone's memories. Which is why it's amnesiac and doesn't remember anything. We also learn from Wanyamon that it was using the idol image because it figured if it did that, someone would come help it. Well... it did work... but... not exactly in the way that I think it was hoping for. Either way, all's well that ends well I guess. We move on to a new chapter as we wait for Nokia. Who wanted to meet with us. She makes us wait and eventually comes. She reveals that she's worried about the Agumon and Gabumon that she had run into in Kowloon. So... we go back to the office where we meet with Kyoko and we are officially given the case. Kyoko thinks going from searching for people to Digimon is 'interesting.' She's always been weird... but... this is a new high for her. Not that it matters. Nokia is our friend, so of course we're going to help her!! We make our way back to Kowloon and find Nokia being harassed by Zaxon hackers. What's with these guys? Seriously? Nokia, being Nokia, cries to us for help so we end up taking them on. I take them down. *sighs* Nokia causes nothing but problems... but... I can't bring myself to hate her for it. We explore Kowloon and make our way to Kowloon Lv. 3. We get another 'Nokia' instance where she claims she saw something, but, I didn't. *sighs* We explore Kowloon Lv. 3 and get blocked by a depressed guy who is apparently contemplating the all important question of... how to get a girlfriend. WAIT, WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?! *sighs* So we end up going around talking to random people to try to figure out how to get the guy to move. Eventually, we find out that having Digimon seems to help somehow. This gets the guy determined to go catch all the Digimon to find himself a girl. Yeah... you ... do that... Our path open we make our way further in. We hear familiar voices... but... they are clearly in trouble. Uh oh... I prepare by getting Gargomon. AW YEAH. Okay seriously. What is with Zaxon? I mean... Yuugo seemed to be cool. But everyone else from it are jerks apparently? They're starting to remind me of the groups from the Pokemon games. Plasma, Galactic, Flare, etc. More Zaxon thugs are harassing the Agumon and Gabumon that Nokia is looking for. Nokia confronts them and says she does have a problem with them. Before hiding behind us again. Eh. Whatever. 'CONFRONT THE ENEMY' time is once again apon us. I take them on. Well... um... my poor Dorumon got KO'd. HOW DARE YOU DO THAT. NOW YOUR IN FOR IT. Afterwards though I did fairly well. I won at least. But then... someone else shows up. It's Jimiken. The popular musician apparently. What's a guy like him doing here? Also... he's a weird ass. Seriously. Turns out... he's not just a musician. He's apparently living a double-life. Musician by day... top-ranking Zaxon hacker by night. WELL THEN. This revelation crushes Nokia, who's apparently a fan as she feels like she wasted her money. Yeah... seems that way... Eventually we're forced to fight Jimiken as well. Pretty difficult actually. I took down the 2 Meramon with relative ease but the Devimon gave me issues. I guess it's good I brought Gargomon. Well... I guess I'd better start getting Champions... I didn't expect the game to actually want you have them this early. I survive though and come out victorious. However... Jimiken claims that he wasn't fighting seriously. Oh... I... see... However... we get saved. By Yuugo!! Plus some girl named Fei. Jimiken talks down to Yuugo quite a bit. Yikes. He's the leader, yet, he just took it. He must have quite the tolerance... Eventually... it looks like it's over. Until Fei now mentions wanting Agumon and Gabumon. OH COME ON. Luckily... Yuugo stops her. That... was probably a good thing. We escape unharmed for the most part. Then... we learn about the Digital World. Which comes as a shock to Nokia. Not to me though. I know this stuff. Either way... apparently Agumon and Gabumon came here of their own free will to do something. What is it? Apparently... they don't remember. Hmm. Seems to be a lot of that going around apparently. Well... Nokia tells them to just try their best and it may come back to them. They ask to stay with Nokia, who quickly agrees. Good for you Nokia. Unfortunately... the peace only lasts momentarily as something new is apparently going on in Shinjuku and Kyoko wants an eyewitness account of whats going on from us before the police arrive. What's going on? I guess we'll find out... Next time: NOW what's going on? Well... I've started to look ahead in my walkthrough now after my... not so successful boss fights... and... well... Let's just say... A certain 'monster' that isn't a Digimon may be making it's not-so-great reappearance. Will we survive? Well... I hope so... things didn't end so well last time...
We investigation Zaxon and they're all uptight about the whole 'account raiding' thing. Gee... I wonder why? Either way, we're told to investigate Kowloon to find our answers. So we do. Eventually, after some battling, we're able to go up a level. Kowloon Lv. 2. Great now I'm climbing Tartarus again... Either way, I make my way through Kowloon Lv. 2 occasionally getting blocked by Zaxon members that I'm able to make my way past by showing them a Zaxon Mask I obtained earlier. Wow. They're... quite easy to fool. Either way... eventually... I find a group of mysterious individuals so I do the only logical thing. Confront them. Apparently they're the ones responsible for the account raiding. This 'Mephisto' (why does that sound familiar?) they have with them... is... quite weird. It gets to the point where this guy starts freaking out and keeps demanding more accounts. Yikes. A Digimon appears behind him... and... OH GOODIE. BOSS TIME. COME AT ME!!!!!!! Spoiler NOW THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. *raves as I BOSS FIGHT * Not too difficult honestly. It's the first boss so it shouldn't be. After a bit of a battle I come out victorious. AW YEAH. Afterwards it's revealed that Mephisto was somehow 'possessed' by the Digimon we were fighting. WAIT... WHAT?! WHEN DID DIGIMON LEARN TO DO THAT?! That's... scary... More investigation is needed. For now, I got an item to increase my party capacity so I used it. BTW... things were looking suspect for my party. Not anymore. I got quite a lot of good Digimon. Otamamon, Agumon, Gabumon, and Terriermon can even digivolve if I want it to. WELP. I'M ALREADY OP. A CHAMPION THIS EARLY?! I think I'm OP. Seriously. I'm letting the game off though because I've yet to digivolve it. Also... I GOT FREAKING DORUMON. I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM SINCE DIGIMON WORLD 4. OMG YES. HI DORUMON!!!!!!!!!!!! *coughs* Back to game content. I did a side quest where I went into a game employee's phone to fix a bug with a game he was making. Ironic. Either way it was caused by a Poyomon. Easy enough. Or... not? The Poyomon was tougher than a normal Poyomon for some reason but I defeated it regardless and fixed the issue. Next up... Mirei from the Digi-Lab wanted me to 'punish' a hacker for abusing Digimon. Well... it's not like I can say no. Besides... WHY WOULD YOU ABUSE DIGIMON?! THEY'RE THE BEST. Besides... they text you in this game. I'm not a fan of texting, but, if I got texts from Digimon... I'D BE ALL OVER TEXTING. Anyway... I confront the hacker in question, battle him, defeat him, and he promises to change his way. YOU BETTER. Next, a criminal called 'Mysterious Digital Face' is causing Detective Matayoshi (Kyoko's friend) headaches but he refuses help. So we try to help him 'covertly.' Our investigation leads us to someone who hates cops. Hmm... this is ironic with the stuff that's going on currently. Either way, we find a mysterious person who drags us into Kowloon Lv. 1 and fights us with a Veggiemon. This guy was apparently 'possessed' by the Digimon as well. HOW ARE THEY DOING THIS?! Either way, we defeat him and he comes to. Then we find out that a police officer that had helped us locate the person in question was actually the criminal!! Matayoshi determined it because the criminal was using his old nickname from 10 years ago. Wow... he's pretty good... Next up... the air conditioning is broken in Nakano (main area where the detective agency is) and needs fixing. We eventually get a weird transmission from a weird girl several times. Even in front of Kyoko. Who informs us it's the image of well-known pop idol that 'fell from grace' apparently. Someone is using the image and causing digital havoc with the air conditioning. Well... we can't have that. Who would do something like this? Well... hopefully we'll get the answer to that next time. Next time: Who's making everything cold?! Also... will I start breaking the game and allow my party to be OP and start using Champions? We'll see. I LOVE THIS GAME.
Hi all. Back from my unannounced MIA. See my status update and the General Chat thread for details. I gather the rest of the avatar pieces and return to normal. Afterwards, we meet an older man who apparently knows and works with Kyoko. Afterwards, we get down to business as Kyoko pretty much makes us her detective assistant. Without even asking. Well... I guess it's better than doing nothing? Either way we're informed of some happenings at a local hospital. Apparently a lot of people are coming down with something called 'EDEN Syndrome' that has apparently put a lot of people into comatose-like states. Sword Art Online/.hack much? So Kyoko wants to investigate the hospital but the floor where they are holding the patients is heavily guarded. Which is apparently where we come in with our unknown Persona 4-like technology jumping ability. We meet a strange girl there and just stare at her. SMOOTH. REAL SMOOTH. Eventually she leaves on the elevator and we're told to 'Connection Jump' in the General Ward to get to the Special Ward where all the EDEN Syndrome patients are. Which we do. We find... a shocking truth. The main character's OWN PHYSICAL BODY. He's a EDEN Syndrome patient. Well... this is awkward... We run into the same girl from before who's shocked to see us here. It's a bad situation, but, after explaining that we're working for a Detective Agency, that somehow gets her to talk with us. There are rumors of some sort of conspiracy with the company in charge of the hospital and EDEN Syndrome patients but the girl denies that. She also informs us that the patient that 'could be our twin' according to her came in recently. However... a really weird woman shows up who's apparently a big wig of the company in charge of the hospital. So we have to quickly hide. This woman... not only is weird, she looks weird too and seems to think the girl is hiding a 'boyfriend' and goes around searching. Luckily, we jump into a computer to escape. Convenient. Afterwards, we try to recover from the shocking truth of being an EDEN Patient walking around in a Cyber body. Kyoko realizes that we want the truth, WELL OF COURSE WE DO. So she makes us her official assistant calling us a 'Cyber Sleuth' NICE USE OF THE GAME NAME. Our first mission... is to get Kyoko Coffee Beans. SERIOUSLY?! Well... it's also to apparently introduce us to the people around the main city we are in, Shinjuku. So we do that... and run into Nokia in the process. Who's glad to see that we're okay. Better not tell her the truth... huh? We complete our errand and are allowed to roam the streets now. We run into some old classmates as well as Arata. Who doesn't want to talk about him being a hacker and just says 'it is what it is' REALLY NOW. Eventually... we get another major case... from the girl in the hospital!! Her father has gone missing and she wants us to find him. Apparently, his EDEN account was hacked. Figures. Apparently a lot of people have been victims of 'account raiding' recently and the girl's father may be one of them. We've gathered some information about the situation though and we're told Zaxon may be involved. Wait... I think that's the group the guy who helped us in the beginning of the game is from. Uh oh... Either way that was all I was able to do. I'm sorry for not listing names but they're hard to remember. Japanese names usually are. Not that I'm complaining. Also, I forgot to mention that occasionally there have been a few 'anime-like' cutscenes. Kind of like Persona. I'M SERIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH THIS GAME. Also, I converted a Koromon as a temporary 3rd Digimon. I'm trying to find rookies but not having any luck so what I have now will have to do. Hopefully they can survive... Next time: We try to get to the bottom of the disappearing father. Is Team Zaxon involved? If so why? Will I have to fight them? Is there a boss fight coming up? Time will tell...
*gets smacked for the over-done Wizard of Oz reference* First off, as expected, no English Dub voice actors. There are subtitles though. So it wasn't like I didn't know what they were saying. It's localized, just, Japanese voices. I don't necessary like this... but... as I continued... I began to ignore it. BECAUSE DIGIMON. First... we're in some random chat room that has avatars that reminded me of the Summer Wars anime movie. The conversation eventually goes to hackers... and Digimon. Which apparently are programs that hackers use and control. THIS ISN'T HOW DIGIMON WORKS. Anyway eventually... some other avatar shows up called Mr. Nezbit and everyone is shocked. They ask if he's a hacker and he claims he is. WELL THEN. He then tells people to meet him in a place called EDEN or he'll hack them. WELL I GUESS WE DON'T HAVE A CHOICE. Two others go as well. EDEN was... interesting. After awhile we get a message from Mr. Nezbit claiming that we're late and our other friends have already arrived. We have to go to a place called Kowloon which is apparently known for hackers. TOTALLY SAFE I'M SURE. We eventually obtain the URL from a shady hacker-looking fellow in EDEN and go there. Eventually we meet with the other two in the chatroom. Nokia Shiramine and Arata Sanada. Arata looks mysteriously similar to the Devil Survivor 2 main character. Apparently Arata was looking for a rumored 'ghost' that apparently eats people's avatars as well as Mr. Nezbit. Not finding either. We're also given 'Digimon Capture' which apparently makes us all hackers now. Oh goodie. Just what I always wanted? Nokia freaks out and wants to leave but a firewall pops up and prevents that, making her freak out even more. She can't seem to move and Arata goes to explore more of Kowloon. With no other options, we follow. Until we end up meeting a 'ghost' ourselves who 'inscribes' weird symbols on us. I'M SURE THEY'RE TOTALLY MEANINGLESS AND WON'T BECOME IMPORTANT LATER. We also meet with another strange individual who explains Kowloon, hackers, and Digimon Capture to us. They also say we're still a 'fledgling' in a shell. Well, what do you expect? He offers to give us our first Digimon. Who show up. I'M ALREADY IN LOVE WITH THIS GAME. GIMME GIMME GIMME. I ended up choosing Terriermon. Because it's Terriermon and it shall be my Terriermon. To bad it gets chased with the other Digimon by a bigger meaner one. The mystery person from before says there are other Digimon. Until our character refuses to do anything except chase after the other Digimon. YES. NOW WE'RE PLAYING DIGIMON. We protect Terriermon and the guy from before shows up AGAIN to help us out. We take down the Digimon with relative ease. Afterwards, we go searching for Arata, who apparently has more to him than he claims, as revealed by the mystery person who reveals himself as Yuugo from a hacking team. Well then... We go back to Nokia who ends up meeting Digimon herself. Specifically Agumon and Gabumon. LUCKY. They say her scent is 'familiar' before getting scared by us and run off. Nokia begins to change her mind on Digimon due to their cuteness. OF COURSE. She comes with us and eventually we find Arata. But that's not all. OKAY WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THING?! IT'S NOT A DIGIMON. IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING FROM A HORROR GAME. AND IT ATTACKS US!! Agumon and Gabumon show up to protect Nokia... but... we can't seem to damage it... not good... Arata manages to do... something... to the log out area and we log out. Or not. Our character ends up in the real world with a screwed up body. Game Over? Everyone who sees him freaks out. Can't blame them. However... we're saved by some weird woman who eventually takes us to a place called Kuremi Detective Agency. Her name is Kyoko. Eventually... a weird voice tells us to jump and we do. STRAIGHT INTO A TV. WHEN DID I START REPLAYING PERSONA 4?! We fly around and eventually we end up in a DigiLab with another female character named Merei. After experimenting with stuff we leave and and eventually learn that we need to obtain 'junk parts' to get our regular look back. Well... it's better than the weird blue data body we currently have... I also got another Digimon. Bukamon. It might be In-Training but I'll try to get Rookies later and Terriermon isn't going to do everything on his own forever. I also ended up with 'hacking skills' which ended up being used to get back into Kowloon. Either way, it allowed me to get a few 'Jigsaw Puzzle' junk parts. That was all I did though. I'm seriously already in love with this game. Plus the AMAZING music helps too. Next time: More Digimon. More Hacking. More AMAZINGNESS. We might also no longer be a Cyber-Body anymore. Hopefully.
Why hello again. Did you all miss me? You didn't? Oh... meh. So I finished up Life is Strange yesterday... for those that care... here's what I decided to do for the final Major Decision. Put in spoilers for obvious reasons. Spoiler Sacrificed Arcadia Bay and let the tornado hit it. There was no way I was going to do that to Max and sacrifice who was pretty much Max's closest friend. To me... it would have made the whole game meaningless. Besides, from what I saw, it seemed to me that there weren't a lot of 'dead bodies' so that tells me most people survived anyway. Just my thinking I guess. So now... while all of you guys are addicted to a Pokemon micro-transaction mobile game... I'm going to move on to Digimon Cyber Sleuth. Honestly... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. This will be the first Digimon game I attempt to play and beat without cheating. I can only hope I won't rage at it as much as I did with Super Mystery Dungeon. So yeah. Get ready for that. I'll try to start playing it today unless I have to install a patch or something. Next time: My first Digimon game without cheating. Will I beat it? I guess time will tell...
This game ended up being nice to me but also being a jerk at the same time. It let me bring party members to Purification Cave. However, it still took me 2 attempts. Not that something like that matters though. At the end of Purification Cave... We find Mew. But that's not all we find. IT'S FREAKING NUZLEAF AND THE BEHEEYEM AGAIN. SOMEHOW... I'M NOT SURPRISED. But then again... they're just trying to get rid of Dark Matter for good. Can I really blame them? I guess not... but still... Is this really for the best? Squire struggles with that question as Mew begins to disappear as he remembers what happened to Fenne... but then... he makes up his mind. He decides he doesn't want this. If Dark Matter comes back, he'll just beat it again. HELL YEAH WE WILL. That seemed to do it. Squire's Harmony Scarf glows... and... FENNE COMES OUT OF MEW. Looks like we were fooled once again. This time by the Expedition Society and Xatu. Apparently it wasn't Dark Matter within Mew... it was Fenne. But in order to get him out... they needed to get Squire to want Fenne back, for his emotions to want that as his true wish. Nuzleaf and the Beheeyem just played the 'unsavory' role once again. Because apparently they got beat up by Mew. HAH. THAT'S GREAT. Well... it clearly worked. Fenne is back. For good this time. NOW THIS. THIS IS AN ENDING I CAN LIVE WITH. I went ahead and evolved Squire and Fenne as well to Wartortle and Braixen. But... that was it. THE END. TRUE ENDING. I AM FINALLY DONE WITH THIS BS, UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING, PERSONA 3 FES "THE ANSWER" DIFFICULTY GAME. THANK. GOD. It was a long journey... with many struggles and frustrations... but with my determination... I did what I set out to do. Plus, I didn't have to literally die to do it too. I can only hope that there isn't another Mystery Dungeon game for a while. I SERIOUSLY need a break not only from that, but from ridiculous harder-than-they-should-be games in general. If there is another one... it needs to be... like 10x easier. SERIOUSLY. Next up for me is Life is Strange. But no blog for that. I think this will be a good 'break game' for me. Apparently it's really easy and laid-back. I need something like that. SERIOUSLY. I DO. As for my next blog... Well... Here's a hint: Di-Di-Digimon Di-Di-Digimon Digimon! Digital Monsters! Digimon are the CHAMPIONS!! Next time: The Beginning of the Digimon Comeback? Cyber Sleuth thoughts/experiences.
What? You didn't really think I'd let this game trying to kill me IRL stop me from playing it again... did you? I told you. I'm finishing it even if it literally kills me. Anyway... With our new Mew 'partner' in tow we do more random expeditions/rescue missions. As we do this... Mew begins to remind Squire more of Fenne... but... clearly it's not. Plus... through this whole process... someone is watching/stalking Squire AGAIN. MY GOD. HOW MANY STALKERS ARE IN THIS GAME?! Eventually... after another mission... We randomly wake up by the big tree in Serene Village. WAIT... WHAT?! Squire can't remember. NOT AGAIN. He tries to find Mew... but can't. Eventually... he remembers that Mew had fallen ill. WELL WHY ARE WE EVEN STILL HERE?! BACK TO LIVELY TOWN. We arrive... and after getting close to Expedition Society headquarters... more remembered information. Xatu was called to check on Mew and informed the Expedition Society that some of Dark Matter still remained within Mew. Not... good. Squire tried to get Mew to feel better by showing him the view from the tree in Serene Village. But... that's when he got randomly attacked. OKAY WHO'S THE JERK?! After getting together with the other Expedition Society members, apparently we're informed that a... not-so-nice letter was given. Someone has taken Mew to Purification Cave. Which, as told by Mawile, is used to put spirits to rest. This person did this to get rid of Dark Matter once and for all and even had the gall to call themselves a 'defender of peace' YEAH RIGHT. THE ONLY YOU'VE DONE IS GET THE EXPEDITION SOCIETY MAD. So we all agree to chase after this so-called 'defender of peace' to save Mew. ............................ This is it... I... I.... TRUE ENDING INBOUND. I CAN DO IT. I WILL DO THIS. EVEN IF IT LITERALLY KILLS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time: Purification Cave. THE END. FOR GOOD THIS TIME. I AM ENDING THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all. A bit to talk about for sure. So let's start. First off, I got through the final dungeon and confronted Dark Matter. We get transported to a space-like area for the final boss fight. Whatever this jerk wants to do I guess? The first Dark Matter battle wasn't too ridiculous. My evolved forms helped plus I brought EVERYTHING. Reviver Seeds, Status Wands, Max Elixirs, Oran Berries, Heal Seeds, I had my basis covered so I couldn't lose for the most part. After the first knockdown it doesn't do any good and it reforms. Plus, in the process, all of our 'allies' (Jirachi, Celebi, Mewtwo, Deoxys, Rayquaza, Arceus, etc.) become statues. Then... YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. YVELTAL, NUZLEAF, AND THE BEHEEYEM SHOW UP TO HELP. YEAH. NOW YOU REGRET ALL YOUR CRAP. They get 'stoned' too. Things... are bad... However... Fenne refuses to give up. We are told by all the 'statue' pokemon not to give up either. John Cena would be proud here. Game. I've gotten this far. Plus, I'm a John Cena fan. OF COURSE I'M NOT GIVING UP. Second fight was... slightly more ridiculous. Multiple forms. Plus Squire and Fenne were back to their regular Fennekin and Squirtle forms. Not that something like that is going to stop me. Not that it mattered. I pulled it off. YES. OH MY GOD. YES. Everyone celebrates. No more statue pokemon. Tree of Life back to normal. Xerneaus shows up and is apparently the Tree of Life incarnate. Kay? Everyone's happy and all's well that ends well. .................. So... we go back to Serene Village and get a surprise party. Nuzleaf left. Well... not surprising... but everyone seems to thing he does regret what he did. Doesn't change much though. Squire is kind of freaking out though because his 'role' is over and he seems to think he'll be going back to the human world. But he wants to stay. IT'S GATES TO INFINITY ALL OVER AGAIN. Squire wakes up the next day. Fenne is seen chasing after a light... ............................................................... You know... there are times when I hate it when I'm right. This is clearly one of those times. I was right guys. Sort of anyway. Fenne=Mew. In a past life anyway. The mistakes that were made in the past couldn't be made so memories had to be erased to do things 'properly' and Squire agreed to it. As did Fenne-Mew. Which is why when Fenne 'accepted' Dark Matter at the end of the Second Battle that apparently got rid of it for good. FOR THE LAST TIME WHY IS THIS GAME COPYING SO MANY OTHER GAMES I LIKE. PERSONA ANYONE?! ....................................... Fenne is the one that has to leave. Not Squire. Because the Dark Matter destruction somehow destroyed 'Mew' too. .......................................................................... Squire... can't take this............... he falls and cries............. CREDITS WHAT?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! THIS IS THE ENDING? YOU KNOW WHAT?! NO. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THIS. THIS IS NOT THE ENDING I'M GETTING AFTER ALL OF THIS CRAP. *que Interstice of Time* *keeps playing* Squire... all alone... After a mission... Ampharos tells us there might be to bring Fenne back. HEY JUST LIKE IN GATES TO INFINITY. We are informed to seek out Xatu. WAIT IS IT THE SAME XATU FROM THE OTHER MYSTERY DUNGEON?! I had to re-do the dungeon because it was a jerk but I completed it. Xatu tells us to go to the home of Mew. Mystery Jungle. So then I did that. At the end.... I find Mew. LITERALLY. It's Mew. Not Fenne. Mew. Obviously Squire is disappointed. He tries to tell Mew about what he did... but... he says he doesn't know what he's talking about. Then... he follow us around. OH GOODIE. P.S.: This game is literally trying to kill me IRL. Had to go to the Emergency Room today because after I played and tried to go to bed... my heart wouldn't stop beating hard. ............................... YEAH YOU KNOW WHAT. THAT'S FINE. THAT'S HOW THINGS ARE GONNA BE HUH?! VERY WELL. I AM FINISHING THIS RIDICULOUS CRAP. EVEN IF IT LITERALLY DOES KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time: ............................... Here lies LostSanity.... Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon may have LITERALLY killed him... but at least he has the satisfaction of knowing he finished it.
Road to Primeval Forest was relatively uneventful. Probably because I had another somewhat-mini army with me. Ampharos, Espurr, Jirachi and Celebi. We get through it and finally see the Tree of Life. It seems... quite dead. Until Squire and Fenne go Digimon again and become Blastoise and Delphox. We also get to see Nuzleaf, Yveltal, and 2/3 Beheeyem surrounded by dark energy. This game likes being Kingdom Hearts doesn't it...? Welp... as Ampharos said... TO ARMS COMRADES. IT'S REVENGE TIME Item abuse. But who cares? I WON ON MY FIRST TRY. YOU SEE GAME?! THIS IS WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH NOW. So... even though they are "cleansed" they get teleported randomly. Okay... Then... the Tree of Life... takes flight. LITERALLY. That's not good... is it? All of a sudden... FENNE TAKES A LEVEL IN BADASS AND BOULDER JUMPS. NOW THIS GAME IS FINAL FANTASY 7: ADVENT CHILDREN. It... doesn't work out to well though. However... the Tree of Life is stopped by FREAKING DEOXYS AND RAYQUAZA. AS WELL AS EVEN MEGA MEWTWO AND EVEN THAT CORRUPTED GOD ARCEUS. YEAH. NOW YOU TAKE ACTION. Eventually we end up in the Tree of Life thanks to Arceus. Looks like it's up to Squire and Fenne now. In their evolved forms. ENDGAME. Maybe? First part was actually... quite easy. We rescue Yveltal, Nuzleaf, and the Beheeyem despite everything they did. *sighs* Whatever. Not surprising though. TRUE ENDGAME. Next time: Dark Matter. I'm ending this BS once and for all. Apparently there's extra material again like in Gates to Infinity but it's a full on assault from me at this point.
So... I almost used up all my Reviver Seeds in Prehistoric Ruins but I got through it. Not surprisingly.... OF COURSE IT WAS A TRAP. No Tree of Life. But jerk Nuzleaf & Beheeyem cronies instead. Apparently it was a trap for the Beheeyem too. So this jerk... ending up revealing why he went to all the trouble of the facade. Apparently it was all in order to get his dirty mits on the Luminous Water. Squire's memory got erased in some sort of fight between him and the Nuzleaf and Beheeyem cronies. He needed Squire's 'human' ability to break the barrier on Revelation Mountain so he went through with how the game began. Not only that... but apparently Squire was brought to the world by ancient pokemon in order to save the world. That's... not much different from Gates to Infinity either... The Beheeyem that was following us is scared to go to the Voidlands so of course he ends up joining back up with Nuzleaf's evil group. As well as Espurr apparently. I HATE ALL OF YOU. *gives them all the double middle finger as Nuzleaf attempts the statue making thing again* Oh. We got saved by Ampharos, Jirachi, AND FREAKING CELEBI. It's not pink though. Normal color. Apparently the Celebi is a friend of Ampharos and we got even more information. First off, Espurr was a double agent and was giving information to both Ampharos and Nuzleaf. YOU COULD HAVE TOLD US THIS SOONER. UGH. Next... was A LOT of theorizing. Dark Matter is a collection of negative emotions from all pokemon. SO IT'S BASICALLY ANOTHER BITTERCOLD FROM GATES TO INFINITY. Apparently the ancient pokemon supposedly had a human helping them out and the theory is that it's Squire. But he can't remember anything so it's really just a theory. They took a lot of measures and counter-measures because they knew that Dark Matter would reappear in the future. One of which was the Harmony Scarves on Squire and Fenne made from the Tree of Life itself. The next of which was obviously sending Squire to the present world. This was all done by a 'leader' of the ancient pokemon called... YEP. IT'S MEW. OF COURSE. This 'spirit' was apparently, at least in theory, the one who sent Squire to the current era. However, the mystery still remains about Fenne, why he had the scarves when Carracosta found him, and why he can easily read ancient writing. But our significantly-decreased expedition members aren't going to give up. Neither am I. I'm this far anyway. No reason to. The Tree of Life is where Celebi teleported them. Past Primeval Forest. Looks like my chance for REVENGE is coming up. But it's not exactly as easy as it seems. TIME TO GO ALL OUT. Next time: Good vs. Evil. Who will come out victorious? Well... considering that I'll just keep trying until I win... Also... I have a theory about the truth about Fenne. I'll put it in spoilers just in case I'm right. Spoiler Fenne=Mew? Mew can transform into other pokemon like Ditto can and has access to all moves... so... this would make sense...
Not much to talk about today. We head off for the Prehistoric Ruins with our oh-so-trustworthy Beheeyem. Also... EVERYONE IN THIS GAME IS CLEARLY AGAINST ME. ESPURR WAS COMMUNICATING WITH NUZLEAF. THEY'RE ALL GETTING THEIR ASSES KICKED. EVERY. LAST. ONE. OF. THEM. *coughs* Anyway... Submerged Cave was... ridiculous at times but I completed it. Fenne tries to get answers from the Beheeyem. Most notably, why Nuzleaf went to all the trouble of fooling us the entire time. He acted like a jerk (not surprisingly) and didn't want to say it. All he would say is it had something to do with Squire's memories and what he might remember. Okay...? What exactly is within Squire's memories then? Perhaps we'll find out soon... Next time: Prehistoric Ruins. What lies within Squire's memories? We may find out sooner then we think...
You know... this is more then just some cheap 'catch phrase.' They really are WORDS TO LIVE BY. Because you accomplish NOTHING when you give up. Good 'ol John Cena really knows how to rub me the right way. Regardless.... this is precisely what I did. I officially began to use my 'Persona 3 FES "The Answer"' strategy. Which, in essence, is basically my 'keep trying until I win' strategy. Cave of the Deep was ridiculous but I got through it. After I make it through that the Expedition Society is reunited sans Ampharos, Jirachi, and Swirlix. Yay? We're still statues though... THANKS NUZLEAF AND YVELTAL. Calm Craggy Area was actually a nice break. Why? I HAD A MINIATURE ARMY WITH ME. ENTIRE EXPEDITION SOCIETY. It's basically impossible to lose there unless you try to lose. We're warned about 'Void Shadows' though. I'M SURE WE TOTALLY WON'T RUN INTO THEM. WRONG. WE RAN INTO THEM. They're icky, black, tar-like monsters and we have to fight them. This boss fight... was... quite easy. My miniature army plus Barrage Emera made quick work of them. WTF?! WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! DID CHARACTERS JUST DIE?! The freaking Void Shadows 'swallowed' practically everyone except Squire, Fenne, and Mawile. It almost happened to Squire too... however... ENTER ENTEI, RAIKOU, AND SUICUNE. Well then... we were saved... but they're freaking jerks. Apparently we're just 'tools' to them to help them escape. I guess I'd get my ass kicked if I tried to fight them. Still though... they're jerks. We come across another area where the 'door to hope' is apparently, at least according to the ancient writings that Fenne can somehow easily read. Reverse Mountain. Going through it wasn't too ridiculous. Obviously due to Raikou, Suicune, and Entei. We also finally learn about what is apparently behind the 'turning to stone incidents' which is apparently something called Dark Matter. So, what, it's like the Bittercold from Gates to Infinity? Well... apparently... it can control other pokemon through the darkness in their hearts and turn them into it's pawns. I suppose that does explain why freaking Nuzleaf can turn pokemon to stone and I guess the Beheeyem too and maybe Yveltal but SERIOUSLY?! WHAT IS THIS NOW KINGDOM HEARTS?! Anyway at the top of Reverse Mountain we find more Void Shadows and by defeating them the 'door to hope' appears but they rain down like icky tar monsters. OR HEARTLESS I GUESS. THIS GAME IS LIKE POKEMON, PERSONA, DIGIMON, AND KINGDOM HEARTS FUSED TOGETHER I GUESS. Either way... FREAKING MEGA TYRANITAR AND 2 MEGA GENGAR APPEAR. Plus more Void Shadows. Result? Lengthy fight... but... VICTORY. YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS GAME?! THIS IS WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH NOW. We can't make it... but then... apparently Entei had a plan all along. Mawile freaking kicks Squire and Fenne towards the door to hope. It was Entei, Suicune, and Raikou's plan all along to send Fenne and Squire back. We're their hope apparently. It's up to STAGE ONE CHILDREN STARTERS to save the world. Oh... that happens in ALL Mystery Dungeon games. Nevermind. But still... We make it back... and discover the dried up Luminose Water. Figures. *squee!*S. We make it to Serene Village. Which is now a ghost town. We don't stick around long because Fenne doesn't want his resolve shook by seeing his adoptive father as a statue. Well... at least he didn't MANIPULATE YOU THE WHOLE TIME. Either way... Lively Town is full of statues as well. Even Swirlix is a statue... UGH. We discover the shopkeepers inside the Society headquarters so at least I can shop again? I had to do it with Pelipper Island and I'll have to do it that way again... We can't find Ampharos or Jirachi but we find... ESPURR. He reveals that all of Serene Village are statues which upsets Fenne. However... SOMEONE IS WATCHING US AGAIN. We investigate... YOU. I AM SO SICK OF YOUR BS. IT'S REVENGE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fight against a lone Beheeyem is a struggle but I come out victorious. However... apparently it came because us returning from the Voidlands caused some sort of 'shock' that snapped it out of Dark Matter's control. It claims it can lead us to the Tree of Life, which is apparently the life source of the planet TOTALLY THE BEST IDEA and it's possessed by Dark Matter. WONDERFUL. YES. TRUSTING THIS GUY IS DEFINITELY THE SMART THING TO DO. Well... Fenne realizes it anyway. Either way clearly there are no other options at this point or the WORLD ENDS. Guess the choice is obvious then... I accomplished quite a bit as you can see. Next time: Prehistoric Ruins and A TOTALLY TRUSTWORTHY BEHEEYEM. I'M SURE IT'S NOT A TRAP OR ANYTHING. Also... let's recap what happens when I use my 'Persona 3 FES "The Answer"' strategy shall we? 1. Persona 3 FES "The Answer": I WON. 2. Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories (1.5 HD Remix): I WON. 3. Lingering Will (Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix: I WON. So... I think it should be pretty clear what the result will be this time. *takes back out towel from above* NEVER. GIVE. UP
Although I'm sure most of you don't care, I've made my final decision on THE UNBELIEVABLY RIDICULOUS CLEARLY NEW PERSONA 3 FES "THE ANSWER" PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE Super Mystery Dungeon. What is it? Well... You'll see it in the next 'real' update which should hopefully come soon. Here's a hint though... Spoiler
