Last week gave me an insight of what I was dealing with when it came to exam week. Looks like it was all easy with a few bad moments but I won't go any further. There's nothing fun when it comes to school except for being with friends. With a change in schedule I had to readjust my daily eating habits. This time buying food to cook rather than relying on fast food...whoa...there's like a 2 inch spider walking along the corner of my wall...brb. ... ... ...ok. Where was I... Yesterday I expected my family to come over but false alarm. I cleaned up the house for nothing. Even so, after this coming Tuesday I'll more than likely go back to Reynosa to spend half a week over there rather than stay here. Just have to see that therer aren't any loose ends untied before I go. Nothing great happened last week. Just been under pressure with exams. That's all. Not much to say. I played on my Wii U all afternoon going through my entire Wii library. Started a new game in Batman: AC. Played Goldeneye and RE: the umbrella chronicles. Tomorrow I'll go help pack all the supplies gathered for the people in need from ingrid down south. Then a quick exam on Tuesday. waiting
This is a late one. I was busy playing Black ops because of the double xp weekend event. Well guys last week was a wet reminder of the time when hurricane Alex hit our lovely city. The river actually rose back up to life but it is probably low again. Ingrid almost had us all thinking that the week would drown us all again. Either way it wasn't so bad. Sure Tuesday hit us pretty hard. I know because I was driving around the city and the rain was really heavy. All because I had to go pick up a bag of limons that my dad gave me but I left them in my aunt's car. Meh it was worth the trip. Looks like I'll be having an easy upcoming week. I already presented one exam and there won't be another because our teacher of topicos said that there won't be one. Which leaves me with 5 exams to present. Nothing too hard. I just need to study well and hope for the best. Not much else to report. The brony fandom has been quiet lately. It needs to be November already. We need new material. Baba O'Riley
It's that time again. Where deadlines are reaching and time is shrinking. With so many mental obstacles to make it even more fun. God sure does love sit back and watch us contemplate our goals. While many may jump on the worry express, I set sail on the EZ ship. Okay enough that let's get down on what Lyon has done this past week. Rain, rain and more rain. Two tropical storms are going through Mexico bringing almost endless showers. Not such a bad thing but it does hinder activity to some degree. School has been keeping me on my toes. This week will be the last before entering exams and I don't have much. It doesn't help that my laptop went and gone goof. Looks like the hard drive finally gave in. It takes forever to respond and it's very unstable. What luck. Hopefully tomorrow I can go to Texas to buy a new one. Otherwise I'm going have to go to a cyber to do my homework. Now there is more I would like to type down but I should start sleeping if I want to wake up early. Typing on my Wii U is also...tiring. I love a rainy night
No pues ¿que padre verdad? It's week 4 or week 5 if I include week 0. So finally I get to do something at school. Now to do it. I have an exam to present online. A class to give, a project with picasa or whatever, general homework and the need to print some papers to fill them with info, then turn them in before the 20th. Gee that sure looks like a lot and 3 of those are due tomorrow. Meh, I'll do it tomorrow...in the morning...ish. That's school now fun time report: I had two dates with friends this weekend. Yesterday I was to go back and face my fears where my stereo was stolen. Did I mention long ago that my friend lives up a hill? Yes, no, maybe? Well his street is a steady climb upwards that requires quite a strong car to get up. Sure this wasn't a problem when I had my bug. First gear to gain speed then second to reach the top but since I had the Marquis, I had doubts on rather or not it could make it to the top. Being that it was automatic. Well this one of those moments where doubt should have been shrugged off like any danger. I chose to put it only in 1st gear and see if it could make it. At some point it looked like it could make it but the engine overheated and I was left halfway on a steep decline down. Not that I went down without braking. I quickly left it in P(ark) and got out. I called my friends to come over while explaining what happened. They where not far. Like a block away. Clearly enough, the car was struggling because it was in 1st shift only and it turned itself off. Thankfully nothing serious occurred except maybe that all the water in the radiator was entirely depleted. It got that hot. So hot that the lid came off. Boy did I f up that time. For now it seems alright but I rather have it checked for anything even if I don't have time to do so. Tragedies aside. I spent my entire saturday in company of my friends. We went to go eat, watched We're the millers, and played nintendo land for the most part. Sunday morning I swapped those friend with my brony friends. They were to go see MLP: EG today. I may have seen it already but I said, what the heck, this movie is worth is my money. After seeing that we ate, and spend some time walking around the mall. By 5 or 4 I was finally back home. What a weekend. I didn't get the chance to wash or do my school work. Scheiße.
Or maybe I should title this entry "Ask a brony who had a wild party last night anything". Nah this ain't /mlp/. So lately I haven't done much at school. The class I have at 3 is pretty much dead and we're barely 4 weeks in. Second class had us doing a project using crazy talk but the computers in the computer lab have had a bad case of installing and uninstalling of software. Like installing windows 8 only to have windows 7 re-installed a week later. The project I was working on was erased because, obviously, the computers were formatted. Next is diseño de sistemas which is boring. Lastly redes, I forgot to present the exam online. I hate having to do things on my laptop at home that involves school. Why? Because I'm too busy getting distracted checking other webpages. That's Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday is perhaps the only class that has involved something to do. Thursday is the longest. First class at 5 has a small group talking about the subject and the class at 7 is a long 2 hour listening session to what the professor has to say. Now for the best thing of the week! My Lil Pwny: Ekuestria Gurls! It was just 3 days before screening that the tickets were available. There were about 5 theaters that had it. Some at different hours but mostly in the morning. Like 10 to 2 in the afternoon. I chose 11:45 and well the room was only slightly halfway full. To me that's better because I don't like a full room of people who end up screaming with every moment. I went with my friend Abel. There were a few others of our group who went too and of course they were mothers with their daughters. The latin dub was superb and the songs were well translated and adapted. In the end, those who decided to stay got a chance to see EG Derpy :3 I know I did. A feeling of hunger came in afterwards, we ate pizza upon exiting cinpolis. Now the only thing that was at disarray was that not all that are in our group went to see it. At the same hour and day. This was because of the early hour and on a weekend. A lot people here tend to stay up all night to then sleep in the next day. Still it was worth getting up to see it in the big screen. Like how it bucking should be! Getting back home I quickly shifted gears to start cleaning the house and my room. One good thing of seeing MLP:EG in the morning was because I had a party to go to at night. It was with some old friends of school who have all graduated. Which my presence was required for good time's sake. I had only a few hours and I had to cut short the cleaning because by 4 I had to take a shower and get going to make time in order to meet up at 6:30. I live pretty far so taking the local bus and then take the monorail took about hour depending whether the bus would pass by early or the monorail. Once there we headed to wal-mart to meet the others and to buy the "the bare essentials". By nine we had a 20 minute trip to the dedicated party house. We did what we did. Talk, drink, eat, etc. Since we were celebrating two happy birthdays, we had 2 dedicated birthday boys. With what I could remembered someone brought a piñata of a zombie from plants vs zombies. Filled with sweet candy P:. There was also a water balloon fight. The infamous beer bong where our party clown would pour in tequila and vodka instead of just beer. By morning(5-7) we were all laid to rest on a makeshift bed. Those who could go on left and others who had no where to sleep slept on the floor or in their cars. By the time I was up I could see the aftermath. Bottles half emptied, confetti, cans, boxes, drinks, cups, everything littered the whole place. We did an ok job cleaning up and left the place almost untouched. Gladly nothing was reported broken. The only disaster was that a friend got hit with a bottle across his eye but he always alright. Nothing serious. About 4 areas were covered in puke and were wiped cleaned. So what does this all sum up to? If you're going to have a party be prepared for the mess that comes after the fun. By 12 we left and by, I guess, 2 I was home. Took a quick shower and dropped dead right in the bed. I then woke at around 8. Not a pretty hour. Thank god the house was cleaned. I'm not able to clean anything right now. Whoa! That was a long type. I'll end it here and now.
Another week gone, another blog entry. I haven't been around so I do not have the slightest clue of everypony's state. Have things gotten better or worst? Somepony please answer this question with a comment. School is slowly starting to pick up pace. Onto the 4th week and we have a month already gone by. Social service is all set to commence next semester. Just need to go to a meeting of some sorts for more information. Not much to report from there. Maybe by the time it's exam week I can start typing more. So yesterday I went to the theaters in thoughts that we can reserve the tickets to see EG next week but it turns out that they were not available yet. Instead they had tickets for Hatsune Miku. I don't want Hatsune Miku! I want MLP: EG!! Now we, by we I mean our entire group of BroniesMTY, have to wait until this coming friday to buy those tickets. *Yawn* Aw man. How I wished for the end of the year already. Last year was so awesome. Wii U, Walking dead, MLP:FiM. This year will bring their 4th season of the latter and the Wii U will be getting several new games to play. At this point I feel that there is a lack of all of this but I know we'll be coming back.
Phew what a week. There I was thinking that I would be in deep water for missing a week but to my luck nothing of importance was seen last week. Everything began last Monday. I was in search of all my classes. There was only one where they had the group moved to a new classroom. All the others remained the same. I also started looking into social service. Apparently a public one is easier and doesn't require that much paperwork. This has me deciding between doing it the way my brother did or do it at school or where ever it is that I'm assigned to. Tomorrow I'll ask. With the bulldog gone I am totally alone now. Yesterday was a long afternoon cleaning like always but it was more thorough. It was then that I noticed that I really need to buy some groceries & food. I can't make it a habit to just eat once a day. This idea is a real problem if I'm not too careful. I can't go on like this. I can barely eat twice a day and that's bad enough. Even so, I sleep through the morning which makes me skip breakfast entirely. As for today it was another brony meet-up ^^ Saw all my friends and made few new ones too. The highlight of it was the showing of equestria girls. It was good. Nothing bad or overly good. Just right. What's even better is that there will be a screening here in Mexico too. We all discussed of going together to go see it. I can't wait. *yawn* lonely, lonely
It's time. Lyon must return to the land of...of...*trying to think of a word*. That place where I don't want to go. To say the truth, I was suppose to be over there since last Monday but due to some complications I had to wait until tomorrow. Now it's a road trip back and this time I am riding a new car with a stereo to listen to. If I leave at 9 I will arrive at around noon which would give me like 3 hours of setting my things back and getting ready for school. I wonder how things have gone since I left. Will everything be in ruin or will it be all smiles and sunshine? I would go for the former for no apparent reason. It's gonna be weird to live a whole year or so alone with no one around me. Imagine the incredibly wild things I can do while alone. you thought about it didn't you? Not much to write. There are several problems floating around my head
I'm back : ) It was wonderful to see the port of Veracruz again. Although I'm afraid it's beauty has diminished over the years. It has been nearly 8 years since I went there. Other than seeing the great ships that import and export all sorts of things. The aquarium and the house of wax were one of the few attractions that we visited while we were there. The Gran cafe de la parroquia, known for it's great coffee and many other seaside restaurants. The hotel that we stayed at was also pretty nice. It had a great view of the sea. We arrived on the Sunday and left on Thursday. Thursday we stayed at a small resort in costa esmeralda. It was easily more lovely there than it was in Veracruz. x3 Friday we visited my dad's hometown of Poza Rica but it was very brief. We tagged along with my grandparents to go back home together. Reminded me of the time when I was young and I would always go there with my cousins. Good times. So now I enter school tomorrow but I won't be leaving just yet. I need to get my car checked out. This semester is going to be different. My prediction: butterflies and hurricanes
It appears that I will be going out of the city to go to the southern state of Veracruz to spent some time in the sun. I feel bad. I missed my Mother's brithday and I was unable to reach her in order to say happy birthday. Now I'm gonna leave home with regret. Can't I last at least one week without feeling bad about something? Story of my life. I see that the site went through some trouble. Glad it was fixed quickly. Oh yes.the reason I'm doing this weeks blog entry right now is because I'll be without my lap for the next week. Maybe I might pop up but I will mostly likely be busy doing other activities. I won't make a thread in the farewell section. I believe one week away from everypony isn't much of a farewell. Rewinding back to last week's events. I had a little bit of car trouble while on the highway. Thankfully I wasn't far from home. My dad brought a mechanic and the car roared back to life to get me home. I went to McAllen and bought some headphones for tomorrow's trip. Long time since I've used some. I figured that my 3DS wasn't going to last the 12 hour trip so I might as well get a pair and hear a few tunes while on the road. I also got my hands on NFS:MWU. EA should really stop being a prick and support Nintendo. The game looks so cool on the Wii U. Between you and me, I actually buy third party games on Nintendo consoles. I hardly buy Nintendo titles. Smash and Metroid are definitely in my library but I don't buy nintendo consoles only for nintendo's games. You could say I support Third-party games on Nintendo's hardware. My money goes to them. Ok that looks good. Now to get some proper sleep and get set for tomorrow. I hope the weather down south is sunny. I'll leave it to the weatherman.
Convention time! Sorry no pics to show this time around. There wasn't anything worth taking. Still it was good to see my friend Jonathan and window shop all the merchandise at the Animex. I even saw some old familiar faces while there. Now that there isn't anything left to do in the this city, it's time for Lyon to go back home. Solo. So while I'm typing this, I haven't done my packing yet. I plan to leave around 9 to 10 in the morning so I gotta sleep early to get a good night's rest for tomorrow's road trip. I pray that everything will go alright. Believe it or not, last week was rather, should I say, bland? I passed all my subjects in summer school. A 70 and a 95. Don't matter if it's a lousy 70. It's a passing grade. Just like my old man would tell me. Then it was to wait for today to go buy a few things at the convention. Maybe I'll upload an image of what I bought but maybe later, maybe. Did I mention maybe? Maybe or maybe not but maybe. Now that it is halfway through the year, season 4 is coming and already spoilers are surfacing around the web. I must be careful. I don't want my episodes spoiled. I want a solid first time watch experience with this new season. I must resist all but knowing the internet. That is going to be very, very hard. That all for now, see you guys on the otherside.
It keeps happening. Not a day goes by when this occurs. The magnitude may vary but it always happens and today proves that. Before I talk about that, I'll reduct what happened last week. Monday began and I was off to a good start. The class that I missed the past Friday was quickly summarized in a problem that the professor had us do. Quite easy but a little tricky near the end. As the week went on, I was trying to get the 'practicas' of laboratory. They were due for Friday (last Friday). Gathering what I could find and do, I placed it all in a disk and had it handed over to the teacher. Remember this part. Coming home I tuned in on the live streams of the Evolution championship series. So many awesome battles and I was hoping to catch a glance of a few buddies that went to participate but I was too busy playing Monster Hunter. Remember this too. The next day, yesterday, I had to do the laundry and do some chores like clean the house. It was 1 pm when I got up so I had the whole afternoon busy. By 8 it was the semi-finals for UMVC. It was around this time that I found out that my friends were eliminated. Still not sure if it was in the pool or in the quarter finals. hold on...."checking the winners of UMVC" Darn I missed it. The matches anyway. Stupid webpage won't open. I'll check later. [flocker won] Now to put the pieces together. As a very few of you may know, I love Monster Hunter and these past days I have been grinding to get the best weapons and finish all the port quests. Today I finally got the quest to face Dire Miralis. The final boss of the game. After a fierce battle, I won! Did it solo too. No need to go online to ask for help. Just me, Jehn armor and my devastator great sword. I was so happy. It's the kinda of happiness you get when you defeat a great boss of great game. I was about to spread my happiness online when I then heard there was something in my disc drive. Opened it and that was when my happiness vanished. The CD that I thought I had turned in was right there. Son of a...! So there we have it. Happiness loves misery
So I've read that Everypony is going through a crisis right now. Harley, Bounty and Rarit E have left the staff and there has been a struggle in keeping Everypony relevant. I don't know what the admins have in mind but I'm hoping that it is not about shutting the site down. Seeing how hard it is to keep the staff in working order and to keep them from leaving because of X 'person' did/said X 'thing' that Y 'person' didn't agree with or whatever. I don't know. That was how I read it back in 2012. If it wasn't like that then they had to leave because they had to deal with some RL work, school, or lifetime event. That's all that can be said from me. A weekly user here on everypony. Now back to me. If you clicked just to see what I had to say, you can leave now. Anyways I'm back in Reynosa. I haven't finished summer school yet. Which means I'm going back tomorrow. *sigh* Curse the day I decided to go to summer school this year. Maybe things could've been better. I could have gone to Washington without much hassle. My stereo may have been in my car still. I would have gone to the dentist. Get my debit car from the P.O. box. Either way, the choices we make are never wrong. Goals for this week are: 1. Get the practices done before Friday. 2. Copy homework to catch up. (remember! My backpack was stolen. I lost all my notes.) 3. Refill the pieces that were lost. Gotta sleep now. We will meet again.
Good Morning Everypony. Lyon is back with this week's newest blog entry. Let me be straightforward here, I'm doing this entry early. It's around 8:10 am here. I just got back from a party that was pretty far away. Haven't slept so it's not long until I drop dead filled with sleep. I can already feel my eyes getting extremely heavy. I don't know what time I'll be back up so I should get this done before anything. Now the greatest event that happened out of this week was that I had my car's stereo stolen. Along with my backpack that had my everyday school inventory plus personal items. This all occurred when I stayed over at a friend's house. We were playing Wii/U games the entire night until 5. When it was time to leave, I was in utter disbelief when I saw that my car's door was left open ajar and the center stereo missing. It was like in my nightmares but this time it was real and I couldn't stomach the fact that I just installed that stereo over a week ago and then to have it stolen and with my backpack with my school notebooks/supplies. Damn them! After I got a grip of the situation, I realized that it could've been a lot worst. At times, I would take my laptop with me inside my backpack. Luckily it wasn't that time. Other than the stereo, my 3DS charger was taken as well. Seeing as how I left it in my backpack. Thankfully my friend had an extra and gave it to me. A small recovery from the damage but not enough to make me forget. Now I know that I will never leave anything of great or average value in the car. I'm going to be more cautious from now on. I'll be back later but right now I'll going to go visit the cosmic wal.
Finally Sunday. Time for a new entry. This was a long week. Which is odd considering I wake up so late the days go by faster than normal. Anyway, it was because I was bored and there wasn't anything to do. I had no money, no plans, no nothing. All that had to be done was pay summer school and wait for the day to make my schedule (Last Thursday). Yesterday was all about cleaning the house and doing the laundry. Boring week was boring. The subject that I presented last Monday went A-OK. Got a 73 ^^ So here's how things are: Class starts at 11:10 am. One hour of class and we're done. Then I have to wait until 5 pm for the next class. This one is 3 hours long. It's like this for the next 3 weeks. Won't be so bad. My mind is more on the idea of going to Pasco, WA for the wedding of a cousin. My family wants me to attend but I'm not sure when summer school will end exactly. The wedding is on the 13th of July and summer school is suppose to end on the 12th. If I do finish early then I can go. It would a be nice vacation trip for the rest of the summer but I kinda feel nervous about going alone. It'll be on plane but I still have an odd feeling about it. Anyone know how long Equestria girls will be in theaters? I hoping to go see it when I get the chance. With what I've read people are saying that it's alright. Well that is all from me. Now I have to go see what I can make for dinner. I'm such a power hungry fool.
