Well, people usually try to seek out people who are emotionally weaker than they are in order to feel that they themselves have someone who is below them on the totem pole. Weak people that feed off of the want to look down on others in order to feel good themselves, that is what trolls are. Like it has been said, the best ways to counter a troll is to either just ignore them or counter-troll.

I have been trolled extremely hard on several of my video. I have been posted on 4chan several times and then the awful comments flooded in. Because of this I have turned comment approval on a lot of my videos and removed ratings.

I've personally grown numb to trolls...I've been trolled so badly in my past that by now they are like something that doesn't exist anymore. What is comforting to know is that it was MLP that helped me to deal with them
I've found that it's best to just ignore them. However if you're experienced enough, have a go at counter-trolling. If you suceed it is so worth it.
I can't help but laugh at most attemps of trolling. For me, it is just not worth getting upset over, despite their motives. I can relate to alot of behavior on the internet due to it's often repetitive nature. Somepony has to think outside the box, right? But i do understand when it goes overboard - for instance 'cyberbullying' - it is just plain unacceptable. As i've heard in the past alot of people lack the sixth sense - Common sense. Use it wisely.

I don't know. They think it make the fandom look bad. Although ironically the two main people who were hating on it are banned from the group now, because they hate on everything. There are still other that stand by thinking it is the worst posible thing though.

I always ignore trolls and not let them get to me because they just ruin everything. I love MLP and i am proud of it.
I'm actually a troll myself. But not the kind of troll who says hateful things. I'm just really silly. But I've got a wide range of appetite and am easily kept well fed. Trolls who are hateful, anyone who is hateful, they are just ignorant. Best to ignore them and get on with being happy, positive, loving and tolerant.
