This will probably come across wrong, But I am really intrested in this, just to see the level of a train wreck it potentially could cause.
I have no idea why anyone would think this is a good idea, I mean really? REALLY? I male that gets a power ring and becomes a female superhero That is an amazing idea. Chip I had no intentions of looking into this show after seeing the name a few times, but thanks to you and that great description I can't wait to watch it.
What. The. Actual. Hell. What's the target audience? This looks likely to offend EVERYBODY. That said, I plan to watch at least the first episode, for the sake of morbid curiousity.
There's already a Shezow thread here it is . http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?11665-SheZow/page2
Re: New show coming to the hub I don't see what the big deal is. It just sounds like Ranma 1/2. Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
So, Zoe. Please elaborate on why this would "disgust" you. What's so disgustic about crossdressing? I dunno, my only concern about this show is whether or not it will perpetuate ridiculous stereotypes about gender. Theb again, it may be in a position where it is able to break them down instead. I've only watched the intro and thus I cannot really judge it, but I can't get too riled up over the premise alone. Maybe I'll watch an episode or two later just to get an idea of it.
1. There's nothing wrong with cross-dressing. 2. There is no cross-dressing in this show, from what I can tell. He's not a guy that dresses like a girl; he's a guy that becomes a girl. 3. Why would you hope nobody likes it? Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Don't mean to throw the topic off, but I'm not too aware of this bug. Could you leave me details in a PM or Visitor Message? Thanks
Not to give too much away, but I've seen the 8 episodes that have aired on Australian TV and I'm pretty convinced that he's still a dude under there. Spoiler: My reasoning- SPOILERS 1. Guy has to get manicures/pedicures while he is still Guy. 2. In Glamageddon, "SheZow" has really hairy legs. 3. His voice is the same and he has to consciously change it. 4. The ring was intended only for a girl/woman to wear. With that intention, the only physical change the wearer would have to undergo would be the hair. Aunt Agnes had pink, not even shoulder-length hair but when she was SheZow, it was black with a pink streak and waist length. Also, messed-up hair is SheZow's weakness so it can't be just a wig. 8 Episodes: http://pollystreaming.com/search_res...&submit=Search
Well, it makes more sense than a ring with powers that change a person's gender, although I only really find points three and four convincing. Granted, I don't know how hairy said legs are. And how old is this kid? Also, I love how Zoe completely neglected to own up to his rather offensive statement. Nice going, Zoe.
Am I the only one who thinks this show looks like absolute garbage? If it wasn't a children's show, this would seem like the type of thing where the creator's goal is to offend everyone.
Oh don't get me wrong, the intro does anything but intrigue me. I just don't see why people would find a boy in girl's clothing so appalling. It does smell kind of the kind of grrrrrl powah you see in countless other show. I mean, lipstick lightsaber? Really? And manicures? What is he, ten? What kind of kid gets manicures, female or not? But again, only judging from the intro and what people have said.
His legs are pretty hairy for a 12-year-old. I would post a pic but my browser is being a p.i.t.a. right now so maybe later.
