It's weird because I thought it'd be Rupert Grint....awww...no ginger doctor just yet!

However this guy's great, 10th Doctor rescued him from Pompeii along with his family if you remember! Little awkward! And apparently he was also a W.H.O. Doctor in World War Z....what a coincidence?

    :dunno:

    So yeah, thoughts? Feelings?

Hopefully with an older gentleman as The Doctor the writers will be able to go back to concentrating on making compelling stories. Not having a stereotypical "eye-candy" Doctor might just be the best thing for the series.

As long as he keeps this hair style and that glorious mustache of his, I'll be happy.

I'm looking forward to seeing an older Doctor again actually, I was hoping they'd go in this direction honestly x3 Originally I was hoping they'd get Hugh Laurie for the role :omg:

Admit it! That would be awesome!!!

So yeah, seeing a slightly older Doctor might generate story-telling more like they had before Doctors 10 and 11 showed up and sent fan-girls over the moon, haha. Of course, I'm a big fan of both of those Doctors, Tennant is my favorite Doctor actually. However, I think it might be nice to see a change of pace and have a Doctor who doesn't just bounce into the room like Matt Smith might. Hopefully, this Doctor will reflect a style similar to that of Tom Baker: Appearing serious and stoic on the surface most of the time but containing endless wit and whimsy. Instead of Matt Smith's Doctor, appearing goofy from the start and slowly revealing his serious side, we might get to see the opposite; a Doctor who appears serious from the start and slowly reveals himself to be just as goofy as ever underneath the layer of stoicism. "Would you like a Jelly-Baby?"

Those people who comain about the new doctor are probably mostly Americans. Just watch a show called the thick of it and you might change your mind

What I don't get is why they're replacing Matt Smith.

    They SHOULD be replacing Moffat.
Don't you think he looks tired?
