I've seen the first episode and liking it so far, but I think I'll push it till after the two I'm watching right now.
I was going to watch it with my anime crowd, but since I'm not in Copenhagen anymore, that won't be practical.

Thaaaaaaaaaaat depends. I mean thriller anime can get really cheesy too. I tend to enjoy the slightly artsy fartsy stuff.
Also, stuff like the ending of School Days is just silly. Are they anything like that (if you've seen it - if you haven't, just don't), or are they more like a higurashi kind of effed?

Yami, Paranoia agent is indeed awesome.
Maybe you'd like Higurachi when they cry?

Is Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni the series with "NICE BOAT"?

So am I the only person who hates Naruto, DBZ, and Bleach?

Grew out of Naruto when I hit my teens.
Never watched DBZ as a kid, love watching it now for the laughs. It's just so wonderfully ridiculous to me.
I've never seen a single episode of Bleach. It has swords, right?

In other words; I'm not passionate enough about any of those to outright hate them.

I've never seen any of those, but I googled the plot to higarashi and yeah it seems more like that kind of f***ed up. They're legit. People die -a lot- and the plots are intricately woven suspense awesomeness.

That and Yuno x Yuki is the most twisted love story ever.

...although, prolly still a better love story than Twilight. ::S:

Nope, I'm not a fan of any of those kinds of shows. The 500+ episode shonen animes they typically put on [as] are prolly why more people aren't into anime. Although I see that they recently added Soul Eater and SOA to their lineup [some faith in humanity restored].

Naruto, DBZ, and Bleach are okay, but I really LOVE One Piece.

That and Sailor Moon. And most things moe.
My friend in Gymnasium once said that anime was per definition bad. I told him that I found that to be a pretty harsh judgement and asked him what he had seen. He could only name DBZ, Pokémon and Sailor Moon. When I mentioned Miyazaki, because I knew he had at least seen Spirited Away, he said that Miyazaki's work wasn't anime because it was too inspired by western animation (he initially said it wasn't anime because it was good but immediately back-pedalled).
How do you even argue with that kind of backwards logic?

Hahaha I love when people use arguments like that to insist that anime is bad. They only know of 2 or 3 that are well known in the west and are either unaware or ignore the fact that anime is one of the biggest things in the world when it comes to variety of content.

Would "The Boondocks" be considered anime, or does anime HAVE to be Japanese?

I mean it's fine if you don't enjoy it, but it's pretty on par with saying that all western animation is bad.

I recently finished watching Madoka Magica and I have to say the hype was correct. I'm pretty sure after episode 10-11 you would have found the shattered remains of my heart all over my bedroom floor. But then I was spared permanent emotional trauma and allowed to hope once again with the ending, which was as beautiful and perfect as it was bittersweet. Loved it.

Now I'm watching Nichijou (My Ordinary Life) while I recover ha; I'm only two episodes in and it's pretty funny so far, plus they show some words in kana with their English counterparts at random, so it's helping me pick up some new Japanese words.

And tomorrow is Saturday so new eps of all the shows I've been following will be simulcast tomorrow. w00t! ::S:

I'm watching the second season of Haruhi Suzumiya now, just finished the infamous Endless Eight.

Yea, all of them. It was a bit tedious, but all in all I liked them.

Also, really curious as to the identity of the female Titan...people on the internetz are saying how obvious it was, but so far I'm clueless. Of course, I'm one episode behind the latest one that was simulcast because I'm not a paying subscriber, but still...no idea who it might be.

(And if you know it, please don't tell me. Spoiler tags yo)

Well, where they beat the game, anyways. There's still 11 episodes left.
, and all I have to say is...

Other than all the above listed shows I started watching both Full Metal Alchemist and Inuyasha recently as well.
