Ooh, ooh! I used to love Monty Python- haven't watched any of the films or thingies in quite a long time though. The killer cars is best sketch.
Runescape easter egg i found accidentally when I used to play the game. It says "This is not the mightiest tree in the forest." if you use a herring on a tree.
I'm a big fan of the Pythons, though I honestly tend to prefer the TV show over most of their movies. They've had a tremendous influence on my sense of humor. My personal favorite sketches from the show are: Travel Agent, Flying Lessons, and the Argument Clinic.
I forgot to mention: I've even performed the Argument Clinic sketch with one of my drama class friends at a coffeehouse show back in high school.
There are so many bits I love and the movies as well. My friend and joke about the 'She turned me into a newt- I got better' and 'She's a witch' also 'she's made of wood' in public, people look at us like we're mad, except for the occasional Python fan that decides to join in.
"Occational Monty Python fan." Wow. I think I'm drowning in them here. But then, they strike a kind of humour that's pretty common in Denmark, methinks. Though, I do love it when people say: "Monty Python? Oh yeah, he's a funny guy." My dad loves Monty Python. It's like Star Wars, I pretty much grew up with it, and it stuck. They strike my funny bone. I was attacked by a gang of old women in Fallout: New Vegas. Many giggles were had.
I wish there were more fans. You get a lot of people that claim to be fans but have no idea what the show was about, I think they say they're fans just to seem 'in' or whatever. Speaking of Python, I'm trying out for the community theater show of Spamalot in my town, I'm going for a Knight who says NI. I hope I get the part, but I tend to bomb at auditions because I'm shy when first meeting strangers.
