Okay, so I'm trying to write a fic in which my OC (pegasus) flies away from home but then runs into somepony and has a major spinout. When she wakes up, she doesn't know where she is (Everfree forest) and she doesn't know who she is. All she knows is that she had just fallen and is wondering how she's still alive. She runs into Derpy, and Derpy flies off. The OC (who I don't have a name for yet) wanders around until she meets Zecora who says some stuff about a strange medicine of some sort in a bottle that can cure the OC. The OC leaves on the trip, unable to fly because her wing is badly injured. Then, as she's traveling, she runs into some creature of some knid that says it can help her. That's where I'm stuck. I want the creature to be some kind of deceitful monster that looks like a pony until it lures the OC into a trap. Any ideas? (I have most of the rest of the story figured out, I just really need help with this.)
Something fox like they are known for their trickery. Also the beginning of the story I suggest that you start with her waking up in the forest and piece together how she got there from there. It's more of a hook and gives the reader more of a reason to keep reading. Just a suggestion though.
