The thread in which we all talk about dragonball anything from the good ole original show to current epsiodes of super so WARNING POSSIBLE SUPER SPOILERS. (and yes even GT)
Don't believe the so-called 'reviews' I've been watching Super on Toonami ever since it premiered and I've LOVED it so far. It's pretty freaking good. Good as the original? Maybe not but still good. Better than GT anyway. Though I liked GT too but I'm just saying.
I've been a long time fan of DBZ as a whole. But admitably, nothing can match the nostalgia of the original Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Z, as a series, holds up well on it's own too. The best seasons still being the Sayain and Namiek/Freeza Sagas. The Android/Cell sagas were alright, but the Majin Buu saga certainly was amazing in it's early half before Super Buu started absorbing people. The Cell saga definitely offered plenty and was pretty dark. Though the action was mostly the best parts as it went on. The Super Sayain 2 Teen Gohan vs Perfect Cell final fight, was what ended up making the saga amazing in the end. The final beam struggle being the most iconic part, making a perfect way to end the saga.
Personally, I think the Buu saga would have been a lot better if Gotenks wasn't so goddamned annoying.
Yeah. I'll agree that Gotenks is annoying, and it was a poor excuse to introduce the fusion dance. The plutara earrings were ultimately used for the Vegeto/Super Vegeto vs Super Buu.
That's what happens when a pair of superpowered, immature kids are given access to more than what they've already got.
It took me a bit to figure out the Beerus lookalike is a rabbit not a cat. But finally seeing him in an episode made it obvious.
