Heres a taster of my story if anypony has ideas feel free to post them [h=1]Battles of Harmony TASTER[/h] By A.C General Zoi gave the command to move forward and at that moment the 300 strong unit began to trudge through the sludge that was mud, rain-water and decay. This was the squalour that they had been living in for the past few months. Jack began to think of the reasons for him joining, it was unexpected by all means. The war had been going on for two years before he had even contemplated enlisting. It was all down to a girl he had met in school – 'Pidge'. That's what everyone called her, a stupid name really, but when you're in school these things stick, especially considering she was a pidgeon! It was she who had kept him at home: he thought it was true love but when another pony came in he was quickly shoved out of the picture. A massive explosion rips through his flashback: he comes back round and refocuses on the situation at hand. There are bodies of both his comrades and his opposition falling around him; blood staining the puddles of the previous night's ruin. General Zoi was still fighting strong, firing quickly; re-supplying her ammunition from the disregarded weapons lying around her. Jack begins firing, bolts of boiling plasma hotter than Sol itself, speeding towards his opposition. General Zoi starts screaming out “FALL BACK! FALL BACK!” Jack wonders why they are falling back: they're winning, but he needs to act first, question tactics later. He decides to ignore the command and continues firing. As he is firing he hears a high pitched whine followed by a thud! A few milliseconds later the ground erupts, Jack is swept off his feet by an immense wave of heat, then gets shoved back against the ground. He can't open his eyes, all he can hear is distorted screams then – nothing. General Zoi issued the order to fall back. She got back to the sheltered trenches and sealed them off. Damn! She had lost a man but she had a job to do. She pushed a button on her watch and heard the noise of over three and a half thousand anti-cruiser mines exploded under the battlefield. She waited the mandatory five minutes and then sent all of her remaining men back outside to check for any survivors. Over by a mound of dirt one of the search teams calls for a medic – someone has been found! She races over there; it's a young blue pony, his name plate on his armour reads “Jack Daw”. He is in bad condition; he's been knocked out, bleeding badly and his tail has gone. An ambulance soon pulls up for him and he's loaded into it and taken to a field hospital. On the way to the field hospital Jack stops breathing. The medics put him on an artificial respirator to try to make it easier for Jack's body to recover. Unfortunately upon arrival at the hospital he is declared dead. The full list of his injuries is horrific. This battle is won but at too high a cost. To make it worse there will be more battles:- Animals will be Animals, it's the way life is. They will fight for land, food, shelter resources. They will fight to protect themselves. This is unavoidable. Jack's funeral was held in the small town of Ponyville in the land of Equestrian. Princess Celestia posthumously decorated him with the Fluttershy Medal of Bravery. A few months later Jack's grave was found with a letter on it. It read:- “Sie werden nie alt werden, wie wir, die hier bleiben. Die jahren werden sie nie ermuden oder sie angriefen, Bei sonnergang und sonneraufgang, Werden wir an sie denken.” Jack, although passed away, became a symbol of self-sacrifice for One Unified World. Both of the countries involved named an award after him. There was the “Jack Daw Award for Peace” and the “Jack Daw Medal of Excellence for Selfless Commitment to What is Right”. Epilogue Pidge was soon dumped by her new boyfriend when he caught her kissing another girl. When she found out that Jack had died she went on a crime spree and is now serving a four year sentence at FCI Firefox for aggravated burglary. General Zoi was promoted to General of the armies and serves directly under the command of Princess Celestia. He was the second person to receive “ Jack Daw medal of Excellence for Selfless Commitment to What is Right” The person who left the memorial note on Jack's grave was found after three years: he was an ex oppositional serviceman who began working for peace. He sadly passed away before he received official recognition. His son continues his work and has earned the “Jack Daw Award for Peace”.
