OK, since there wasn't already a thread about it (WHAAAAAAAAT!?), here it is! Finally got around to seeing this movie and, for me, it lived up to every bit of the hype and then some! I very much enjoyed the Broadway kind of feel for the first half and then it breaks into a full-on action fest! Gotta admit, and maybe I'm just dense, but I TOTALLY didn't see the dark twist that came as Anna returned. Overall, this movie gets a 10/10 from me!!!
I've got to say, Disney's marketing department dropped the ball with this one. Since the movie came out, stores keep running out of Frozen merch, because Disney didn't have the foresight to have enough ready. That, and the fact that people are having to custom make their own versions of Elsa's dress, because the licensed versions are limited to toddler sizes, leads me to believe that Disney is horribly out of touch with their fans.
I really do like this movie I wanted to see it when I first heard about the movie's pre production, back when it hadn't even been named xD then it seemed the world and it's dog went to see the movie in the theatres and I was left to wait until it came out on DVD (I don't do online movies)
Funny enough me and my friend did this when we first saw the movie Movies good, I enjoyed it
If THIS says says anything, I dressed Rockette as Elsa for my avatar! "Yeah, thanks a LOT, butthole!"
Ok, so after all this hype, and all this talk about how much of an awesome movie it is. I decided to just let it go and watch the friggin thing, because honestly, i always thought it was just another generic Disney movie (you all know the reputation of Disney movies in the last decade or so...). To summarize: Spoiler: Spoilers Olaf was in my own opinion kind of annoying and not really that definingly likeable. I'm guessing he was intended as the comic relief character, but most of the comedy involving him was sort of "meh.." Hans was the rather obvious Prince I'mtooperfecttobethegoodguy. However, it was properly delivered, and compared to all other "Prince Douchebags" in previous Disney movies, he was the friggin king of them all. (in a good way) Kristoff on the other hand was the obvious "I'm the real love interest character in this movie". Which was obvious because aside from the two main characters, he was the only one you saw in a younger version. You'll notice Disney tends to pull that stunt alot. Elsa was hot. That is all. (ironic, isn't it?) No really, Elsa was by far the most interesting character in this movie. They somehow managed to make me feel exactly how she feels. Dem feels, you know? Also the first and only Disney movie i know of where the main character was (sort of) the villain as well. You could tell she was leaning towards becoming an evil and crazy catlady ice queen. I wish they would've gone into more detail as to how or why she had those powers to begin with though... Anna seemed more like the "Crazy obsessive girlfriend" type to me, but again, in a good way. Alltogether, the characters were mostly very predictable, but that's to be expected in a Disney movie. The thing is, even with all this predictability, they somehow turned it into a movie i'll be watching many more times. 8/10 also this: Hey, at least it's a step up from trying to marry someone you've known for 5 minutes.
Just thought of something... what the hell would Elsa have eaten while she was in the mountains!? Was she planning on going reindeer hunting every day... and possibly eating it raw (since fire would obviously be a detriment to her domicile)?
I wonder! Maybe, being magical, she doesn't need to eat as much or at all. It would explain the lack of contact with her sister as she was growing up.
And where the hell would she sleep? I can't imagine a bed made of ice is very comfortable. In fact, her entire castle served no actual purpose other than being able to walk around in it.
Yeah, the whole thing didn't seem very well planned out at all. Oh, I'm out here in the middle of nowhere! I'm gonna just let it go and make a castle with no creature comforts or amenities whatsoever!!! You had ONE JOB, Elsa!!! (Still friggin' LOVE this movie though!)
I love it. I really do. Although I'm not sure it beats Wreck-it Ralph or Brave, but I think it's really good.
Since Elsa was technically dooming her entire kingdom to a slow, freezing death... would "Let It Go" be considered a villain song?
Hey! I <3 that song! And my turtle is named Elsa! You can guess where I got that from lol Ridley, in the song, she is talking about how she feels and ummm no ur right...
