Toonami is a network that airs what people watch the most, not a charity organization dedicated to airing anime...
I have hope for the future of english dubbed anime/anime in general. For you see... Funimation is doing something that a lot of other companies seem to be copying off of/implementing as well. They are simuldubbing. What that means is that they are dubbing animes while the animes are still airing in Japan. Animes included under this, and anime to be done like this include: Assassination Classroom Death Parade Tokyo Ghoul Tokyo Ghoul Root A (Season 2 pretty much. There's no square root symbol on the keyboard) Durarara!! x2 Shou (Aniplex. To be Simuldubbed soon) So yay.
Toradora Fruits Basket (I read the manga first) Soul Eater Mushi-Shi (my favorite) InuYasha Hellsing the Original Attack on Titan Hetalia Deathnote (I read the manga first)
Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They? (aka Mondaiji) Humanity Has Declined Wolf Children Dog Days Fate Zero, Fate/stay Night, Fate/stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Usagi Drop The Tower of Druaga Gun X Sword Cyber City Oedo 808 The Heroic Legend of Arslan Demon City Shinjuku Claymore Sword Art Online Btooom!
Welp, I might as well drop some of my favorite animes then. .hack//Sign and .hack//Roots of course. Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman Nisei(Ultimate Muscle) Saint Seiya(Anything that's not Omega at this point) Dragon Ball and DBZ Yu Yu Hakusho Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Eyeshield 21 Trigun Cowboy Bebop Outlaw Star Tenchi Muyo Sailor Moon Fist of the North Star One Piece Ghost in the Shell IGPX And... I just went brain dead, I know there's more that I like.
I watch both subbed and english dubbed anime. Sailor Moon Chobits Tweeny Witches Shugo Chara Nichijou World Conquest Zvezda Plot Strawberry Marshmallow Chuunibyou Magical Doremi Piano Sword Art Online Kotoura san Puella Magi Madoka Magica Spirited Away Kiki's Delivery Service My Neighbor Totoro
I generally like subs because I find it easier to NOT miss what is being said in a conversation. I like to read what is being said. I have no problem with dubs, though. As for some favorite series of mine: Binbougami-ga Pretty Cure (Especially the first series, Fresh, and Heartcatch. Haven't seen Smile, Dokidoki, Happiness Charge, or Go Princess yet) Captain Harlock Galaxy Express 999 Space Battleship Yamato The various Digimon series G Gundam and Gundam Build Fighters Hare + Guu Kill la Kill Kinnikuman Zatch Bell Medabots Princess Tutu One Piece Slayers Redline Revolutionary Girl Utena Sexy Commando Gaiden! Sugoiyo Masaru-san Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki Bobobo Bo Bo-bobo Jojo
I've seen so much anime it literally hurts ... okay well not literally. I don't often watch really long series so I have a lot of quantity when it comes to the anime I've watched. Basically anything with a tsundere character, like Toradora!!. If it's a high school romcom, I've probably seen it. If it takes place in modern times, starts normal, then completely takes a full turn, I might have seen it. My thing is the animation style. If it doesn't look good then I can't watch it. I lose interest. I typically watch anime subbed as dubbed often takes away from the original content. Naruto, for instance, in the dubbed version has removed all instances of cursing. I find it unappealing to censor the original. I do enjoy dubbed though, as it's not difficult to follow. I've also seen probably 75% of all harem animes. I watch a lot of anime ... a lot of anime. -Nights
I checked out the primer of the Ace Attorney anime. It was pretty good the conversion from game to anime didn't hurt it to bad. It's also cool of Crunch Coll to haves alternate subs for the english names. Also woo best jojo getting the anime premier too. Just 2 minutes in and I was already super excited for the series. Such good foreshadowing. Big week for me with anime stuff and I'm not even that into anime.
Dragon Ball, DBZ, Sailor Moon, Fullmetal Alchemist, FMA Brotherhood, Kampfer, and most recently Squid Girl
