    The Clip

This clip is fascinating to me. Not because it's a good part of the show. It's actively horrible. It's just so surreal in it's almost Möbius strip levels of baffling logic that I can't comprehend how it made it to air.

It's like when a Stand-Up comic has no grip on their performance and says 'Well, this isn't going very well, is it?'

This is like that but exploding outwards at an exponential rate that baffles me completely.

So basically, they're now openly admitting that the reboot is absolute crap.

    Of course it's crap.

That should have been obvious when the creators admitted they never watched the original series.

Eh, I'm sure they're crying all the way to the bank. The show may be stupid as hell but I get a chuckle or two out of it now and then. Personally, I think it was a ballsy call to do another TT show and essentially make a parody of its predecessor.

It's also ballsy to punch a grizzly bear.

    Ballsy does not equal intelligent.

I absolutely love the fact of how they pretty much brought in Control Freak to admit to the idea that HE rebooted the original cartoon into what it is now, and that he could easily reboot it again, making him the most dangerous villain as a whole. I love that clip because of the amount of fourth wall being blown apart, and just how asinine it is.

I used to hate Teen Titans Go when it first aired, but then I gradually mellowed out on it, realizing that giving it so much hate wasn't worth the time. My dislike gradually evolved into an odd appreciation for it. The show has various issues and problems that are questionable, but it can also have moments that generally amuse me due to the absurdity. I also do like the various song bits.

I've acknowledged it as an average cartoon that is just a parody of itself and doesn't take itself seriously. Thinking of it in that way makes it honestly easier to stomach. It's a cartoon that fills the void of 'stupid, wacky, and dumb'.

The only reason it would be considered 'ballsy' is because of how many people cling to the original, and refuse to honestly move on.

I don't dislike Teen Titans Go. I don't feel that it is the worst cartoon on Cartoon Network right now. That award goes to the garbage that is Clarence.

In regards to its predecessor, the original Teen Titans, the show is horrid. It's cheap, no story or point. It's basically a compiled list of jokes and scenarios that the Teen Titans voice actors are paid to voice. Honestly, there was never a 'reboot' that was going to compare to the original anyway.

Looking at it as a completely new show, it has its moments. I've gotten a few cheap laughs out of it. For what it is, a low budget show to fill the time slot, it's not all that bad. It's got humor, it's got the Teen Titans cast. When you compare it to the show about the orange ... it's pretty good. There are plenty of worse shows out there and, personally, I think TTG is alright.

Teen Titans Go, was flawed from the beginning. It basically a rehash of Teen Titans for kids. While there are episodes that are actually legitimately funny or decent, not enough of them hit that often. There are few things wrong that they did.

Firstly, they are trying too hard to be funny. The original Teen Titans was funny, but it was in a way that was organic and fit the situation at hand. In Teen Titans Go, most of the humor is either out of nowhere or just was executed poorly. And the gag with Raven being obsessed with knock off MLP figures is funny at first but it ends up getting annoying and pretty much screams 'shout out' to MLP FiM because of Tara Strong's role as Twilight Sparkle.

Secondly, the show is far two childish. I get the original cast is in it and all, but they are making them look dumb in an annoying way. Again, they were weird and goofy in the Teen Titans, but in controlled doses. Raven being about the only fully serious character out side Robin 99% of the time. All the characters in Go are atrociously annoying and do stuff just because. Jinx was the rare breath of fresh air as she still seemed to stick close to her original character personality for the most part.

Thirdly, where does this all connect to the show before it? It seriously feels like a convoluted mess of episodes, that again, look like something from a goofy kid's cartoon. There looks to be no effort to remotely connect it to the the show before it aside from title, characters, and maybe a few aesthetic things. I know I'm not the only one who wished for a continuation to the final episode of Teen Titans where Tera randomly reappears as a 'normal' girl and has no recollection of her previous life as a super powerful character or the Teen Titans what so ever. Was it really her? Was it that she was resurrected by some random mystic force? We will never know because they discontinued it!

Okay, before anyone thinks I'm just bashing the show for being too different, let me tell you that I did give watching the show the good old college try. I gave it a chance. I will admit I like some of the episodes but not enough of them caught my interest in the long run really. The thing is, I get there are more open minded people saying it's ballzy and a good satire off the original show. I can see that. But looking at it as just a cartoon, it just looks stupid. Not to the level of shows like Uncle Grandpa or Clarence, but to a level where you'd say 'meh'.

I will openly admit. I love Teen Titans. It's a excellent show. Sure I wish more of it was made in the style it's known for, but all good things have to come to an end at some point. There are times where there is a bit of cheese to Teen Titans. But a lot of there jokes are great and are executed rather well. Take the well know line Raven says "Evil beware. We have waffles." in such a sarcastic and nonchalant tone of voice. On it's own, the line wouldn't be funny. What happens in the scene while she says it helps add a sense a hilarity that would otherwise not be there. Teen Titan's jokes have a situational value to them which make them great. Here I'll show you the footage of that famous line.

    Teen Titans Go...is...um...not Teen Titans.

I watch it from time to time for a good laugh, and that's all I intend for it to be.

I have to agree with PN, there's absolutely no relation of Teen Titans.

But, honestly, I don't think Teen Titans Go was meant to be 'another Teen Titans'. It's meant to be comical, silly, a (admitting) stupid. It's just a show for people to have a laugh at-not to take seriously or start a major fanbase about.

Except that it uses the same name and the same characters.

It's kinda like if somebody decided to use the Batman name to make something silly and ridiculous and... oh, wait.
