I can't be the only one who sees this, right? The story looks to be generic coming-of-age stuff, the designs look like the Bayformer ones with a vaguely G1 aesthetic to them, and it's still clearly set in the same universe as the old ones. Yet Paramount has the GALL to call this a reboot. I'm not falling for it. Don't see this movie and wait for it to flop so we can get a proper reboot.
Seriously You'd think after it was apparent people are bloody tired to the Bayformers that they get the hint to distance the reboot as much as possible from it. I mean bloody hell, the Nostalgia critic was able to predict the last movie before it was even in theaters. The formula is that dumb and predictable do something NEW.
"Michael Bay is only producing it!" They said the same thing about the Ninja Turtles movies, and look at how THOSE turned out....
It's not a reboot, it's a prequel. It's set in the 90s and shows that happened to the Autobots and Decepticons before the events of the original movie.
