It's up to you, if you think it would be beneficial. If there are things that it provides that you're looking for, then sure. If you're happy with 7, then there isn't much need to. The thing about recording has been happening for a while and it's possible to turn the things off in settings.
I've always love changes in my life, good or bad.The new UI on Windows 10 looks great compared to Windows 7, and it just feels more...I dunno, modern. One thing that I really look forward to is DirectX 12.
And hey, both of them have a identical system .req, so I think upgrading to Windows 10 won't be any big problems.
About that recording thingy, I will take Xan's words.
Dx12 is essentially a moot point unless you're developing for it, or looking to get a game that requires it.
System requirements doesn't necessarily determine how well it will run on your system, but 8/8.1 as well as 10 are known to require less resources.
The differences between 7 and 10 aren't the biggest, but I suppose there's a few features that are nice, like where it comes to customization and productivity.
But hey, sometimes it's simply best to try it out for yourself to see what you think. That's what I did. I went into the Insider program, tried it for a few months after release, and then went back to 8.1 & Linux.
