lol My bad. Took me forever to reply to this. o___o My friend code is... -le checking- ...Okay, found it. 2406 - 5680 - 5301 I'm "Melbourne", my friend-given nickname. ^^ Anypony else feel free to add me, too! Just tell me who you are so that I can know who I'm accepting on my 3DS. xD
Bought one last September. It definitely isn't perfect (weird stylus placement; lower screen border can smudge and/or scratch the sides of the 3D screen; only one circle pad; etc.), but Nintendo's support for it since last October has been incredible. I've spent hundreds of hours playing the damned thing. I love how it is fully backwards compatible with original DS games: because of this, I wasn't too bothered by the lack of quality software when I got it, as I just plowed through my backlog. Now there are more good 3DS games out than I can afford. The 3D on the system is great, but it only becomes truly helpful in a few games, such as Super Mario 3D Land, which is aided enormously by the effect. Most of the games have 3D as mere eye candy, which is fine. Mario Kart 7 runs a smooth 60 fps on full 3D, and the result is eye-popping. Also love all of the great e-shop games that are being released. Pushmo, Mighty Switch Force, Mutant Mudds, Sakura Samurai, VVVVVV, Kirby's Adventure 3D, etc. are all great games, and definitely make the e-shop more worthwhile. Also like that Nintendo is building up a respectable virtual console selection, although the lack of Zelda: OoA/OoS and Pokemon Red is somewhat mind-boggling to me. The sales for those games would go through the roof, so to speak. I would say my top 3 games are: 1) Super Mario 3D Land 2) Mario Kart 7 3) Resident Evil: Revelations There are a number of great games out for the 3DS now, though. Kid Icarus: Uprising, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Star Fox 64 3D, and Nano Assault are other great titles.
3DS isn't a bad piece of technology. But Nintendo games just don't interest me like they used to... In fact, take a look at 3DS games on the internet, alot of them get only 6/10 or lower.
The only games I really want for the 3DS are Layton vs Wright, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, and some other Gyakuten game which Capcom will hopefully not be stupid with.
Boy I really feel I'm neglecting my 3ds these days. All the games that I borrowed from a friend I've finished them. Quite quick. Super mario 3d land left me dissapointed when I finished it. It felt short even with the special levels and to collect all 3 coins from each stage. Zelda oot 3d was overall good but that was because I played the master quest one. A very good challenge. With no new games of my own, I'm stuck watching nintendo video, playing demos and drawing swap note. Btw, to those that have me added, what do you think of my mini stories of 'The Adventures of Wilson the Dog'?
Well, I'm not sure if anypony really is on here, BUUUUUUT~ Mah friend code is 1848-3093-5535! <3 I'm so lonely on swapnote, it'll be good to have some brony frans >:3
oh man, I haven't checked this thread for a while now. As of now, I don't regret buying this console. Its been quite useful at school.
RIGHT?! AAH MY GOD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE LOLOL But for some reason, I can't connect to the internet with it.. It's weird. :c EDIT: I LIED! Re-added man
Between Virtue's Last Reward, Code of Princess, and the new Professor Layton, I've had no time to give love to anything else in my free time. Besides reading, of course.
