Disney has never been shy about killing characters in their movies. Maybe we'll FINALLY get to witness the death of Jar Jar Binks.
Nope, he was at Padmé's funeral. If you think about it, it was Jar Jar's fault that things went to **** in the galaxy. XD
Jar Jar was also added at the end of the Special Edition version of Return of the Jedi. When it shows the different planets all celebrating, it cuts to Naboo and you can see Jar Jar. So he survives...... Anyway, as a pretty big Star Wars fan, I'm warily optimistic. There are just so many ways it can go wrong. If Plo Koon is in it, however, it's going to be awesome by default.
. no... look jar jar has never done anything wrong. and as well true to star wars he was that element of lighthearted sillyness that added some comedic relief to star wars. to kill him would be to strip chewie from han solo's side. however can we atleast get one movie to tell us why chewie is with him? life debt or just wanting to be out there? next you will tell me that a game or movie explaining yoda's origins is horrible because it ruins the mystery with explanations of his world. abd don't you dare claim he is from dagobah as it was only a hiding place from palpatine. also as i remember the new movie is afyer the fall of the empire so are we get a movie version of those books where han and leia's kids train under luke on yavin iv? maybe we can get an entire new story of how the new rebublic rebuilds.
I'm pretty sure the new star wars movie is set after episode VI because they wanted Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to be in it. In fact i believe they already got Mark Hamill. (boy, is he gonna need a crapload of make-up XD)
mark hamil is still alive? i thought he was dead. he was never in movies outside of star wars that k know of so im sure his career is dead
Actually no, he went into voice acting and he's done extremely well. He's now known as being THE voice for the Joker, after vocing him in Batman: The Animated Series. But yeah, as far as actual acting, he hasn't done much.
Could you blame him when he looks like this? :derpe: He's 61 now btw. Harrison Ford is now 70, and Carrie Fisher is now 56. That's gonna be one hell of an old people movie! XD
> Luckily manages to survive an attack from battle droids on Naboo > Is accidentally seen as a hero when it was actually the Jedi who deactivated the army on Naboo > Gets a position of government in the Senate > His vote is the final one Palpatine needed to get elected into power, because up until that point the Gungans didn't support him > Palpatine creates the clone army, leading to order 66 and the creation of the Intergalactic Empire So yes, you can totally blame everything that happened after The Phantom Menace on Jar Jar Binks.
George Lucas intended Jar Jar Binks to be a comic relief character. That only tends to work if they're actually funny, which he wasn't. Jar Jar wasn't particularly "annoying" in that sense, but he was just... there... He didn't really contribute to the story unless you count the fact that he indirectly created the Empire. Right now it's far more plausible to say Lucas created Jar Jar Binks for the purpose of screwing everything up and being the one to blame for everything.
While i've never been a full on one hundred percent fan I have watched the movies before and even watched Star Wars The Clone Wars The Series before.
The Clone Wars is definitely the best thing to come out of Star Wars in a long time. It gave background characters their own personalities and stories, especially when it came to some of the Jedi Masters and bounty hunters. The characters that were created just for the show, like Ahsoka, Cade Bane, Savage, and Hondo, were all brilliant creations. Plus, they didn't shy away from the violent side of the universe. People were shot, stabbed, decapitated, strangled, had their necks snapped, etc. All of that violence was appropriate to the story and mood of the show and it worked. It SUCKS that they cancelled it after the season ended this month. Oh, and they brought back Darth Maul and he was 10,000 times cooler than in Episode I.
