I was curious if anyone else is a fan of this show?
I started watching it recently because I had caught myself up with Dexter as much as I can without having Showtime and one of my friends told me that I should check it out.
When I watched it I was impressed. Not just by the interesting concept, a chemistry teacher who develops cancer goes into the world of creating meth to stabilize his family's income, but the cinematography is fantastic, and the acting is absolutely fantastic.
I've only watched up to half way through the second season but so much has happened it's fantastic.

Yeah... This has to be pretty much the best show currently airing. I've just started rewatching it and I remember exactly why I recommended it to everyone who'd listen. The ending to the first season has to be one of the most amazing season finales I've seen. It's shows like this that make me think that TV has the most potential for storytelling, rather than films.

Good point. But then there are times when television just is completely bad. It's why I avoid most television these days.
Got good 'ol netflix to watch shows on.

Oh yeah, I only ever watch shows on DVD or iTunes (I envy your netflix streaming so much) because of the vast amount of crap there is. Breaking Bad is also one of the few shows I've seen that is almost entirely non-episodic; I think that's one of things that really attracts me to it, because every episode has weight and importance - there aren't any plot threads that are ignored for time issues.

Exactly! The fact that everything in the show is continuous and that it relates to the other episodes in some way is important to me.
The one thing that did leave me stunned though, was the ending of season 2. I don't know if you've seen it, but just wow. All those sequences at the beginning of season 2 episodes all lead up to something I honestly never would have expected.

I saw it when it first aired and I vaguely remember it, but I've forgotten enough that season 2 is feeling fresh and exciting to me. I do seem to remember Walt doing something pretty... nasty, though. Oh, how's the latest season of Dexter by the way? I'm saving it until I can watch it all at once ^^

I've only seen up to season 5 of Dexter so I haven't seen any of season 6 yet. Still waiting for it to be available on netflix :p
As for season 5, it was good, not as gripping as season 4 was but still pretty good.

Ahhh. Yeah, season 5 wasn't as strong as season 4. I'm interested to see where they go with it in 6.
