Whoa... that's a seriously intense list. I haven't heard of quite a few of those artists, but the ones I have heard of would be amazing to see live! I'll have to check them out Well that sounds especially possible now that you guys have set up one meetup and it sounds like more are on the way. I'd love to help out with this in any way possible; it's an awesome idea! Maybe if you start asking around among artists to see how much interest/availability there is in performing at a festival, you'd be one step closer to getting it all planned out? Another thing would be figuring out location. I'm assuming it would most likely be in Britain, like the meetup, but finding a venue might be a problem. I haven't heard of them, I'll have to go check them out too!
I've only ever been to two shows my entire life. My first was The Horrorpops. You always remember your first lol. They're a really awesome punk band with heavy psychobilly/rockabilly flavors. And then I went to Ozzfest with my sister, brother in law, and dad. It was when the Black Rain album came out and they gave the free tickets in there. It was awesome. Seeing Ozzy Osbourne come out on stage, looking very much the old broken down man he is, and then standing in front of the microphone looking out at the roaring hoard of people in front of him just brought him to life, man. The sound we made! The amphitheater had these plastic seats and we were all pounding on them. It sounded like super loud thunder. I wasn't very close to the stage, but I could still see the huge grin on his face. I love Ozzy, so getting to see him live was AMAZING.
Considering my passion for music, it's amazing to me that I've only been to a handful of concerts. The most notable one was Rush, back during '07 tour. The other standout is Willie Nelson.
I've only seen Dream Theater in concert, and I've seen them twice. Both times it was amazing ear sex. In June, though I'm going to a joint Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden concert. There's no way that won't be downright excellent.
