Again I ended up WAY off. I didn't beat it on my first try this time though. Parasite Cage: 2 attempts. Heh. Maybe I should start decreasing my guesses? Then again I might not. Mostly because this game is kind of ridiculous in terms of how it was done. But there's not really much I can do about that. As Sora and co. continue to climb higher... Sora somehow "remembers" a fourth friend on Destiny Islands with him, Kairi, and Riku. There are so many logical fallacies with this, that there's really no reason to explain them. As it's obvious if anyone is familiar with the Kingdom Hearts story. Let's just blame Organization XIII. Because they're a bunch of jerks anyway. I can't wait to show them just how satsified I am with everything they are doing. *coughs* Anyway... I'm at the last world for the first half of worlds. Halloween Town. Things get boss heavy now. So I'll be including my guesses for the next two bosses. I'm doing decently in terms of levels though. Already at 27. Though I'm not sure if levels really matter in this game or not. Next time: How many attempts will Oogie Boogie and Larxene take? We'll see but here come my guesses: Oogie Boogie: 8 attempts Larxene: 10 attempts I'm decreasing it a little but not much. Because I'm still not confident with my skill at this game and the fact the difficulty is ridiculous enough on it's own.
I don't have much to talk about. I completed Halloween Town though. I beat Oogie Boogie on my first try. Hmm... I guess I should decrease my guess count. I got kind of lucky in Halloween Town and gathered a good few Pumpkin King cards. I finally was also able to put enemy cards in my deck. I'll be sticking with Jafar Genie for now because that one prevents your cards from being broken. Which is nice. I should be able to face off against Larxene tonight or tomorrow. We'll see. Then I get more World Cards. Which includes Hollow Bastion. OH GOODIE. I'll... worry about that later though. Next time: How many attempts will Larxene take me? I'll decrease my guess but only by a little. Larxene: 8 attempts.
Yeah... LARXENE WAS A PAIN. I kept losing. I had no idea what I was doing wrong. Eventually... I did win. But I think it was luck. Luck should not determine the outcome of a boss fight in a game. Period. Larxene: 5 attempts. Off by 3. Sora "remembers" Namine. Yeah... this story just gets worse now. I SERIOUSLY hate Organization XIII. I start Atlantica. I start getting Key to Rewards cards. I get an extra. I go back and get Lionheart and Saix from Traverse Town. Yeah... I don't regret that. This game is seriously ridiculous though. I'm increasing my guesses again. Because this game's ridiculous. That's why. Next time: Ursula and Riku Replica WHOOPS!! Ursula: 10+ attempts Riku Replica: 10+ attempts P.S.: Yes. This game is now angering me. A LOT. *takes a deep breath and listens to TWEWY music to fit my change in avatar*
Yeah. The rest of this game is just going to be FULL of MULTIPLE attempts at bosses. I beat Ursula on my first try. But then... I lost count during my attempts of Riku Replica. It got to the point where I had to mess with my deck and once I did that, I won. SERIOUSLY?! *sighs* This game is SERIOUSLY angering me. It's going further than that but I don't want to get warned for foul language. I guess I did win eventually though so that's all that matters. Still though. This game is seriously making me angry. *sighs* I went back to Halloween Town and got the Room of Rewards stuff. Including Bond of Flame. Yeah... like that'll help... Next time: Neverland. Captain Hook. and Riku Replica AGAIN. Wonderful. Hook has sleights too. Captain Hook: 15+ attempts Riku Replica (2nd Battle): 20+ attempts
Yeah... this game just keeps going back and forth. It's continuing to confuse me. But since someone already said the difficulty spikes now, I'm fairly sure I'm just getting lucky. I defeated Hook on my first try. I was low on HP when I won, but I guess it really doesn't matter how I win. As for the 2nd fight against Riku Replica... It did take multiple attempts once again. But I didn't lose count this time. I beat this annoying jerk on my 3rd try. I'm not exactly sure what I did, but whatever it is, it's working. Though I'm sure that won't last long. Which is why I won't be changing my boss attempt guesses. Especially now that I'm in Hollow Bastion which means DRAGON MALEFICENT again. So... yeah... that'll be fun... (not...) So I don't know when the next Riku Replica fight is but give me advice for the 3rd fight now so I can try to prepare for it to the best of my ability. Dragon Maleficent guess: 20+ attempts.
I beat Dragon Maleficent on my first try. I really didn't do much after that. I got the Xemnas Enemy Card with an extra Key to Rewards. I have no idea if that's good or bad. I would have played it more but the next one is the Mini-Game only area. 100 Acre Wood. Then the game throws more ridiculous bosses at you Vexen TWICE and Riku Replica for a 3rd time. Yeah... this isn't going to be fun... No controversy in this area though. Yay? Next time: Mini-Game Annoyances. 100 Acre Wood. Vexen guess: 30+ attempts (for BOTH fights)
Shockingly... the first fight with Vexen ended during my first attempt. I tried to create a Sonic Blade deck, FAILED MISERABLY, yet somehow still won. I'm just as shocked too. Trust me. Anyway... I get the Twilight Town card and I try to get as much levels as I can. I was even able to get the Roxas enemy card from Room of Rewards. This is good because I remember reading that it's a good enemy card to use for the final boss fights. Whether it'll actually help or not... remains to be seen. Anyway... the second fight with Vexen took a little longer and more attempts. Around 4 or 5. I still won though. However, I'm not exactly sure how. Vexen tried to warn Sora as to what was happening, but, he got "burned" by Axel before he could say anything more. By that... I mean he's dead. Yeah... such a nice group this is... I wasn't able to give the 3rd Riku Replica fight a try. I need to redo my deck again and figure out what I'm doing wrong with Sonic Blade. We'll see how many attempts it takes but I'm still thinking it'll be multiple attempts once again. Next time: 3rd fight with Riku Replica and I backtrack again so I can use the extra Room of Rewards card I got from Twilight Town. Unless the game doesn't let me.
The third Riku Replica fight took me 4 attempts. The walkthrough I'm using has been saying A LOT recently to use Sonic Blade. I try to do that and I get Strike Raid instead. I seriously have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I just DO NOT understand this card crap. I really don't. I'm starting to think that I'm just getting lucky when I win in these boss fights. Sora has now turned in a jerk, cares only about Namine, and pretty much completely forgot about Kairi (though I know why. Still though... ) Axel also allowed Namine to escape. Either way I'm in Destiny Islands now. So I need some more help. Try to explain how I'm supposed to use Sonic Blade and I'm getting close to the 4th (and final) Riku Replica fight which, again according to my walkthrough, is the toughest in the game. So basically I would like help with 2 things: 1. Sonic Blade 2. Advice/Strategies for 4th Riku Replica fight. Either way I'll try to mess with my deck some more and figure out Sonic Blade. Darkside guess: 10+ attempts 4th Riku Replica fight guess: 40+ attempts Next time: How many attempts with the 4th Riku Replica fight take me? We'll see...
Messing with your deck before bosses seems to work and to be the key. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever decide to replay this. The 4th Riku Replica fight was tough. But I beat it in 5 attempts. However... as you can see in the title... I didn't know that there would be TWO bosses in a row. I talked to Riku Replica and got forced into the 2nd Larxene fight. Yeah... I lost... So I had to do the 4th Riku Replica fight AGAIN. This game has now officially trolled me. I don't like this crap anymore. *sighs* During this "re-do" I completed the 4th Riku Replica fight on my second try this time. BUT I WENT BACK TO DESTINY ISLANDS TO SAVE THIS TIME. Next time: The second Larxene fight. Also... I'm practically at the end of the Sora mode. THAT'S RIGHT. THERE'S STILL MORE. LUCKY ME. 2nd Larxene fight guess: Considering I already lost on my first attempt... 40+ attempts.
OH. MY. GOD. IS THIS GAME SERIOUS?! THE 2ND LARXENE FIGHT WAS THE WORSE FIGHT IN THE GAME. NOT RIKU REPLICA. It took me 7 or 8 attempts (YEP. LOST COUNT AGAIN) before I FINALLY WON. *takes a deep breath* *sighs* So... yeah... she's dead now at least. I couldn't think of anyone more deserving. I'm in the final area too. Castle Oblivion. NEOSHADOWS ARE ALSO BAD. This game is just out to make people angry... isn't it? *sighs* I'll try to level up as much as I can before the second Axel and Marluxia/Final Boss Fights. We'll see if that really helps all that much or not. Next time: Castle Oblivion and the RIDICULOUS Neoshadows.
I've done about as much as I can do at this point. I'm in the 70's for level I think. I don't know if the deck I have is good enough but it'll just have to be. It's all or nothing at this point. I'm right before the 2nd Axel fight. We'll see how that and the final boss fights go. Here are my guesses: 2nd Axel fight: 50+ attempts 1st Marluxia fight: 60+ attempts 2nd Marluxia fight: 70+ attempts 3rd Marluxia fight: 100+ attempts. THIS. GAME. IS. TO. HARD.
Wow. To be completely honest with everyone... I'm a little shocked myself. I did... surprising well on the last four boss fights. 2nd Axel Fight: Won on my first try. 1st Marluxia Fight: Won on my first try. 2nd Marluxia Fight: Won on my first try, but had to do again. See below. 3rd Marluxia Fight: Won on my second try. Yeah... Wow. I get the ending and Sora goes to sleep to get his memories back. Here are my thoughts on what the worst fights in Sora Mode are: 1. 2nd Larxene Fight. 2. 1st Riku Replica Fight. The other Riku Replica fights are pretty bad too though. So just take your pick. I had extra time so I went ahead and started Reverse/Rebirth a.k.a. Riku Mode. Now that I have some experience with this game maybe I'll do better? lolyeahright. Poor Riku is by himself though with a weird disembodied voice. Though... it is kind of his fault... just saying... Next time: Will Riku discover who the mystery voice is? Is this mode harder than Sora mode? My guess is that the difficulty is the same. We'll see though. Also I'm right before the first boss. Which is MALEFICENT DRAGON. Oh goodie. This should go well... Maleficent Dragon (Riku) guess: 20+ attempts.
Well... I guess this mode really is short. I seriously feel like I'm doing a speedrun. Even though I'm obviously not. I've already completed Hollow Bastion, Agrabah, and Monstro. The most annoying fight so far was Parasite Cage. Here's how I did on bosses: Maleficent Dragon (Riku): Won on my first try. Jafar Genie (Riku): This one was annoying, but, I won on my first try. Parasite Cage (Riku): This one WAS annoying. It took me 3 attempts before I finally won. So... yeah... this is going pretty quick. I'll be struggling with Lexaeus before I know it. Anyway... I get to fight Vexen first. Considering how Parasite Cage went and the other Organization XIII fights went in Sora mode... this one will probably take me awhile. Vexen (Riku) guess: 30+ attempts. *sighs*
So... here are how I did against bosses... Vexen: Surprisingly, I won on my first try. Hook: Got dicey at the end, but I won on my first try. Guard Armor: Annoying. But I won on my first try. Riku Replica (1st Fight; Riku): JUST AS RIDICULOUS AS HE WAS IN SORA MODE. I managed to finally win on my 4th Attempt. I'm not really sure what else to say anymore at this point. I'm getting through worlds relatively quickly. But that may slow down. I'm already to the second half of the worlds. For Riku anyway. I'd give guesses but I don't know what the next "major" boss is. So I guess I'll just continue giving "reports" on bosses an how many attempts it took me? Until I get to Lexaeus of course. Yeah... so fun... Next time: More Worlds, More Bosses (maybe) and more Riku.
To be completely honest... I... didn't get much done. Atlantica was pretty big. Perhaps the game is slowing down and the worlds are getting larger now? I defeated Ursula on my first try however. I'm getting close to Hades now. Which I struggled with in Sora Mode. I'm not expecting much different in Riku Mode. Next time: Olympus Coliseum and Hades. How many times will it take me to beat Hades this time as Riku? My guess... 30+ attempts.
So... I was looking ahead in my walkthrough... Yep. I'm getting close to Lexaeus. Wonderful. I wonder how many attempts he'll take me? For now though... Hades was about as ridiculous as I thought he would be. I sort of lost count (BECAUSE HE WAS ANNOYING) but I ended up FINALLY taking him down on my 4th or 5th attempt. Somewhere around there at least. I'm in Wonderland. Then Halloween Town is the last World Card I have before I get to fight Lexaeus. So give me advice/suggestions/strategies now please. I'll try to level up as much as I can and get as much Health, Attack Points, and Darkness Points I can but I really don't know what else to do. So... yeah... Here are my guesses for the next several boss fights. Including Lexaeus. Trickmaster (Riku): 30+ attempts Oogie Boogie (Riku): 40+ attempts Lexaeus: 60+ attempts *sighs* This game is seriously the Kingdom Hearts version of Persona 3 FES "The Answer"
Well... um... I'm not really sure what to say here honestly... I'm contradicting myself so much when I face these bosses. I even ending up doing this last night before I saw the comment giving me Lexaeus advice/strategies... I screwed up on Trickmaster so it took me 2 attempts to take that annoying thing down. I defeated Oogie Boogie on my first try however. Then... things got... interesting... and unbelievably shocking. Because... I'm not even joking. I don't joke about these kinds of thing. I have no idea how I did it either. Honestly. I don't. I don't know if it was luck, or if it was my experience in Sora Mode, or if it was just following the strategy that was in my walkthrough... but... I TOOK DOWN LEXAEUS ON MY FIRST TRY. So... yeah... I mean... if anyone plans on playing the HD Remix like I am... and you struggle with Lexaeus... shoot me a PM I guess and ask me for help? I like helping others and I can't say no. It's just... well... I'm honestly not sure how I did it myself. But... whatever I did worked. SWIMMINGLY. So... that kind of happened... Zexion is coming up soon though. With how much I contradict myself... I'll take down Lexaeus easily but struggle with Zexion. Next time: Destiny Islands and Zexion. We'll see how all that goes I guess... More guesses: Darkside (Riku): 30+ attempts Zexion: 60+ attempts
Poor Riku. He sees his friends in Destiny Islands... only for them to disappear. I feel a little sorry for him... But... still... it is kind of his fault... Anyway... As expected I struggled with the Destiny Islands bosses too. The most annoying part about this mode is you can't heal. So it's pretty much the main reason I'm losing to the bosses. It took me two attempts to beat Darkside. As for Zexion... HE WAS UNBELIEVABLY ANNOYING. His card stealing is a PAIN. Luckily I took him down on my 3rd try. Riku is facing and accepting his darkness... but... that allows Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless closer... *sighs* Well... I'm getting pretty close to the end of this game once and for all. Just the 2nd Riku Replica and Final Boss left. RIKU REPLICA. WONDERFUL. Here we go again... Next time: Twilight Town. How many attempts will the 2nd Riku Replica fight (with Riku) take me? Too many I'm sure. Here's my guess: 2nd Riku Replica fight (Riku): 60+ attempts
I decided to open up all of the rooms in Twilight Town so I could get as much levels as I could in preparation for the 2nd Riku Replica fight with real Riku. I guess it worked. Because I completed the 2nd Riku Replica fight with real Riku on my FIRST TRY. Hmm... what do you know... Anyway... I'm practically at the end of Riku mode now pretty much. Just Castle Oblivion (which is really short from what I saw in my walkthrough) and the final boss. Oh goodie. I don't know when I'll be able to complete the game since Thanksgiving is coming up. We'll see. Next time: Castle Oblivion, ANNOYING NEOSHADOWS AGAIN, and the Final Boss. Here's my guess for the final boss of Riku mode: 100+ attempts
I finished up Riku Mode last night. Ansem was a PAIN. He took me 5 attempts before I finally won. Oh well. Either way I've finished Re: Chain of Memories on 1.5 HD Remix once and for all. Which means I'm pretty much done with 1.5 HD Remix. Here's my opinions on the hardest bosses in Riku Mode: 1. Zexion. CARD STEALING IS BS. 2. Ansem. Mostly Annoying. 3. Riku Replica. Pretty much the same as Sora Mode. Ridiculous. Special Mention: Lexaeus. I still don't know how I won on my first try... So... that's all. I'll be starting up 2.5 HD Remix soon. So this particular blog will disappear... eventually. So while it's still up... give me suggestions on what to choose when I start 2.5 HD Remix. Sword, Shield, or Rod? I was planning on just doing the same thing I did in the first Kingdom Hearts. Choosing Shield. But if that's not a good idea then tell me which one is a good idea to choose. Also... this will be my first legitimate attempt to beat Kingdom Hearts 2 without cheating. I never tried playing KH2 without cheating back on the PS2 because I was already cheating on everything else. I'm... afraid for my life. I'll just do what I've been doing. Keep trying until I win. See you guys in 2.5 HD Remix thoughts/experiences!! Next time: 2.5 HD Remix. Difficulties I plan on choosing unless the game gets too ridiculous. KH2FM+: Normal BBS: Normal Re: Coded: Um... it's the same as 358/2 Days. A cutscene extravaganza...
