    I propose a new topic:
    Individuality.

What does it mean to you? What do you think it means to others?
Why should it matter to people?

    Individuality.

I like this topic very much; I especially like the question “Why does it matter?” Why must we be ourselves? Wouldn’t a hive-mind system work much better? I think that it matters so much to people, because we have an instinctual greed. Not a demented, evil greed, just the desire to possess that witch we want. Because we already have individuality, we can appreciate what it is and what it does. Being individuals instead of being hive-minded, is what causes us to search for entertainment and pleasure. This pleasure is something that we jealously covet, and understanding this, we value the individuality that obtained it.

Just as an example, we bronies are clearly individuals. Although our numbers rise daily, if we did not make our own individual decision to try out My Little Pony, we would not have found the joy that we did.

Individuality ehh, to me thats what defines who you are and helps to separate you from the rest of the world.

Individuality is a complex topic. Just about everywhere you can find different groups that act differently based on the people inside of them. This creates labels in which people are grouped together to form a basic understanding of an individual before one even meets them. This is called prejudice, and it's perfectly natural, it just depends on how well you are able to control yourself when thinking about what a person is like at first. One should never jump to the worst a person can be.
Back to individuality, everybody wants to stick out from the crowd. It comes from a deep seated instinct, but it also goes against what we know today; friends are absolutely needed in life. However we're attracted to people who are similar to us and even if not, we adopt interests as a way of expanding the friendship. It's this that creates the groups and the labels.
    This goes in loops.
Individuality makes us who we are, but in the end we're mostly like the group of people we hang out in.
I have no idea where I'm going with this at all to be honest. Hope this makes even a lick of sense.

"The wisest man is the man who understands that he understands nothing."

I've always loved that quote, but I've always wondered what EXACTLY it means. After understanding one's lack of understanding, what is it that makes one wise? Does one show wisdom by being content with this ignorance? Or is the wisdom in realizing the ignorance, and then setting out to begin understanding? Or is it something completely different?

"Light a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set him on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life." ----Terry Pratchett.

“There is a lot of folklore about equestrian statues, especially the ones with riders on them. There is said to be a code in the number and placement of the horse's hooves: If one of the horse's hooves is in the air, the rider was wounded in battle; two legs in the air means that the rider was killed in battle; three legs in the air indicates that the rider got lost on the way to the battle; and four legs in the air means that the sculptor was very, very clever. Five legs in the air means that there's probably at least one other horse standing behind the horse you're looking at; and the rider lying on the ground with his horse lying on top of him with all four legs in the air means that the rider was either a very incompetent horseman or owned a very bad-tempered horse.”

Who'd want a pony when you could have the whole universe? It was far more interesting and you didn't have to muck it out once a week.”

If you desire to be pure, have firm faith, and slowly go on with your devotional practices without wasting your energy in useless scriptural discussions and arguments. Your little brain will otherwise be muddled. RamaKrishna

When the divine vision is attained, all appear equal; and there remains no distinction of good and bad, or of high and low. RamaKrishna

these are my two Favorite quotes from RamaKrishna a man from India born around the 1800's who despite having a average intelligence as some would say at that time era had became on of the most well known saints of India and a great spiritual philosopher.
