Well, no disrespect to you at all Sunburn, but your understanding is wrong. Natural philosophy formally began as Aristotelian philosophy. The idea of an Aristotelian nature is that it defines a set of possibilities, as I described with circles in my last post. Now Abelard, it happens, answers your objection exactly, so I'll just use his proof: 1. Socrates is human. 2. Aristotle is human. 3. Socrates is not Aristotle. 4. There is more than one way to be human. Therefore, human nature is merely that which all humans share by necessity. It does not stipulate one kind of human. While such arguments exist (silly Platonists), they do not and cannot apply to the real world. Because most people who talk about human nature use it to apply to real humans and not the Platonic Form of Man, we should understand human nature in this way.
... uhm... excuse me Rashall but maybe I didn´t understand your proverbs but... they sound like they´re supportting fights and... uhm... I dunno whether I agree with you, but I just wanted to say that this post made me smile =) You sound as kind as Fluttershy herself, and I hope you feel safe here, realizing that even in arguments you're among friends who try to be nice to each other <3
yeah I know, but that is kind of who I am in a way, my real name is Evan Platt which in Celtic means young warrior.
