I feel bad for enjoying this show sometimes since it doesn't exactly portray nerds all that sympathetically at times. That being said, it has it's hilarious moments. That ball pit scene is just priceless. It's also probably the only show on right now that when I watch it with my parents, we all enjoy it instead of either just me or just (one of) them. :derpe:
It's funny because those who aren't nerd "normal people" enjoy it because nerds have always... been fun to... laugh at.... :'< And nerds watch it because they can RELATE to the characters. ( ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ NOT ME OR ANYTHING GUUUUUYS ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ )
I dont really know anybody who watches it, so this a cool topic. Favorite characters anybody? Mines probably either Leonard or Sheldon.
Sheldon is freaking... oh my lanta. He is superb. I also love Leonard and Amy. I just turned 16, and so do not have a job yet. But when I am an adult, I want to get a doctorate in Neuroscience. Just like Amy. And I speak in monotone without realising it. Just like Amy. Hahaha. I'm actually not all that alike her, I just think it's funny that I have THOSE things in common with a television character. xD
It can be pretty funny sometimes, but I feel that the "nerdy" humor is kind of forced most of the time. But Sheldon is cool.
looove TBBT. I got mum hooked on it too and we get most of the references and jokes, especially the Star Trek ones, haha.
I'm sort of a fan of the show, but really just more a fan of Sheldon, I was really into it when I first started watching it, but now it's just kind of "meh" to me. I mean don't get me wrong, its far from a bad show, just not something I'd watch religiously like MLP. I do however watch some late night re-runs that air on one of the local FOX stations every now & then.
The Big Bang Theory is awesome! Wish I could watch it more! I went to a Walmart yesterday they had a TBBT Wallpaper and Howard Bobble head wish it was a Sheldon one I would have bought it.
It is one of my more recent obsessions, so much so in order to get up to date I watched every single episode non-stop. Took me an entire weekend and I now have the seasons 1-4 boxset because it was on special offer, so between this and MLP, I don't think I've watched much else for the last... 2-3 months. o_o
