As I've been browsing this website, I have noticed that a lot of people here (including me) are really into Doctor Who. So i figured, "Why not make a thread about it?" So... yeah, discuss.
I love Doctor Who. I'm still waiting for season 7 to get on Netflix, so no spoilers please. My favorite episode if Vincent and the Doctor. I relate to Vincent in every single way. I cried so hard at that episode. My favorite Doctor is David Tennet. He gets every emotion he plays down perfectly. He isn't too serious nor is he too silly. He's perfect.
I've been a big fan of doctor who ever since I was 7-8 years old in 2005. Despite eccleston being my first, David will always be my favorite with Rory and Amy as my favorite companions. My favorite non regular companion is Captain Jack and my favorite episode is blink. (I still can not look at an angel statue without looking like a freak). Also can I turn your attention to a thing called Trock or time lord rock as it's also called. Chameleon circuit is the best example of this. Whovianism started for me way back in the 80's with me and my brother watching the last few entries of Sylvester McCoy. When the return was announced I was mildly interested, fully expecting it to be as low-budget and Welsh-quarry-ridden as before. I love New Who. OK, I do think Steven Moffat should stick to single episode writing and Matt Smith is trying too much to be David Tennant with a bigger chin but other than that I really do love the show. This may be a bizarre thing to say considering the audience but I'd like to see more episodes that DON'T revolve around some monster or alien evil scheme based purely on the 'we-are-evil-so-because' card. Think "Midnight" or "The Waters Of Mars". Even "The Unicorn And The Wasp". Not every episode has to involve the end of all things.
I actually got into Doctor Who pretty recently (a few months ago.) I watched a couple Christopher Eccleston episodes, and I was hooked. My favorite doctor is David Tennet, and my favorite episode is "Blink."
With the 50th anniversary approaching I'd thought I would revive this thread with a little something. The AMAZING minisode that has replaced time crash as my favourite mini episode thing of doctor who. The night of the doctor. Plus it has a certain someone who is awesome in the radio plays. I saw the new episode last night and I loved it, I'm going to miss Matt Smith though But I have high hopes for Capaldi!
