Has anyone seen the movie and/or read the book? If so, what are your thoughts about it?

I absolutely loved this movie. It caught all the important feelings in the book and used actors who are amazing, but not overly famous so you're not distracted by "oh, i love this guy!". Watching all that happen after reading the book too was just wow. Prolly my second favorite movie after harry potter.

The movie captured the book very, very well. And they added in small things (like the gamemakers operation room) that were just perfect.

Yep. Just came back from watching the movie. It was astounding! Captured the grand feelings of the book and added some excellent additions such as President Snow's PoV on the Hunger Games and LostAgain example of the Gamemakers operation room. Really just brilliant! All the scenes that were from the book played out exactly as I imagined it yet the actions scenes I knew that were coming still left me at the edge of my seat! But...One little thing I'm a bit confused about. In the end Peta never said "It was all for the games." It was kinda of pivotal for the second book...So how will can there be a sequel?
