After almost ten years, the Avatar series is coming to an end. We followed Aang on his quest to stop the Fire Lord and bring peace to the world. Then Aang's time passed, and the mantle of the Avatar was passed to a new generation. We watched as Korra grew from an overconfident teenager into the most powerful Avatar in history. We watched her get beaten and broken by her enemies, and we watched her come back each time, stronger for the experience. And this Friday, we're going to watch her fight to save Republic City from a megalomaniac with a superweapon unlike anything their world has ever seen. So, let's discuss the finale! What do you hope to see happen? Will Korra stop Kuvira and save the world? Will Prince Wu take his rightful place as leader of the Earth Kingdom? Will Varrick finally figure out what Zhu Li wants? W̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶K̶o̶r̶r̶a̶s̶a̶m̶i̶ ̶h̶a̶p̶p̶e̶n̶?̶ Do the thing, people.
This show seems to get A LOT of unwarranted flak from what I've seen. This show has been AMAZING IMO. But again, that's just me. I don't know know what I want to happen or what I think will happen. I just know that it's going to be AMAZING and I'm sure the ending will be perfectly fine. To be even more honest... I've enjoyed this series even more than I did the original Avatar series. Again though, that's just me. :ahh:
I think a lot of the flak comes from people who wanted it to be another The Last Airbender. Of course, if they had made it like TLA, people would whine about the shows being too similar. There were also quite a few people pissed off about the fates of the original Team Avatar. Especially the shippers. There are people who refuse to watch the show because Kataang became canon instead of Zutara.
To be honest... I could care less about ships. I've heard rumors that this happened with the way the Naruto manga ended. But again, that's just me. :ahh: If you're curious... I'll talk more about the rumors I've heard below in spoilers... Spoiler: Naruto manga rumors/spoilers Apparently NarutoxHinata (NaruHina I think is the "name" of the ship) was made canon because they had a family together.
Yo, that ending was great. Spoiler: spoilerz guise The Korrasami is strong with this one. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
The ending (and to be honest, the entirety of The Legend of Korra) was absolutely everything which I could have hoped for it to be. I feel like I was one of few people who actually preferred The Legend of Korra to The Last Airbender, and its good to see other people feeling the same way. Though I don't think I could ever place my finger on why I liked it better... I loved how "local" the series felt, and rather than being a journey across the world it kind of was mostly set around one location, Republic City. I feel like the old characters which were brought back were done tactfully and I feel kind of satisfied that they didn't overshadow any of the current cast. I could probably ramble forever about how engaged I was with the characters, too. Sad that it's all over but, I really did enjoy the finale!
Most people already figured this out, but just in case there were any lingering doubts: Korrasami has officially been confirmed. http://bryankonietzko.tumblr.com/post/105916338157/korrasami-is-canon-you-can-celebrate-it-embrace http://michaeldantedimartino.tumblr...korrasami-confirmed-now-that-korra-and-asamis As far as I know, that makes Korra and Asami the first interracial bisexual female couple ever to appear in an American family cartoon. That's a hell of a milestone, for people that care about that sort of thing. For the rest of us, we're just happy that Korra and Asami will be happy together.
