If it makes you feel better, you were born before Red and Blue were released in America. Considering most non-japanese people would've even heard about Pokemon until September 1998, that counts for something.
I can't remember when my brother got it, but I started playing Red when i was around 4/5 years old. To this day, I remember what I called my first Squirtle: [](PK)(MN)_?!(Male)(Female)/ Yeah I just picked all the funny looking characters. Then I remember my brother resetting the game because it was a terrible nickname. Those were the days...
Hmm... First game I watched... 1 day old probably xD. Probably anything from Banjo Kazooie to Diddy Kong Racing. And there was Rayman 1 on GBC, Pokemon Blue and all 3 GBC Zeldas most importantly. Yeah. Pokemon Stadium. I remember that. Clefaiiiry. Cle! Fairy...
I love the first pokemon games. I still have my card collection with over 700 cards. My favorite pokemon is definitely Raichu. Pikachu is overrated. I played so much pokemon red when I was a kid. Arcanine is another one of my favs and you couldn't get him on blue, well maybe on Cinnibar Island or however it's spelled. Pokemon was released when I was in 4th grade. Teachers obviously banned it, but that didn't stop us. Trading cards taught me about economics and business, heh heh. I started with 3 cards I got from a kid in West Virigina when visiting my grandma.(1 diamond 2 circle) At that time the most valuable card was a holographic first edition Charizard, which I have in my collection. Ah....memories. I lost interest a little after gold and silver came out.
Best Pokemon is Espeon. Mine was a meatgrinder the moment he learned Confusion. I took out much higher-level Pokemon with that thing. So, Pokemon Black and White. How are they compared to earlier generations? I've heard some of the new Pokemon are kind of... odd.
SOME of the new Pokemon? All of them. And those are just the Japanese names. The english names make it even worse!
I dislike the new generation from what I've seen. It just looks dumb to me. I like what they've done with the battles though, it looks quite smooth and nice. Thing is, the other generations of pokemon looked kinda awesome, especially Gen 3 which I believe had the most well-designed pokemon. It's obvious that in Black and White, they really just... Kinda ran dry of inspiration, and looked to Ice cream to reclaim it... Seriously? An Ice cream pokemon? I just don't get it. And I probably wont be getting the game either.
I only have some of my collection left. Me and my brother used to put all our cards in a folder my Dad got from Japan. The duplicates/extras were put in a shoe box. And we lost that shoe box Oh well. You and Echo will get along just fine. And Psychic pokemon were overpowered in the first 3 generations. It was brilliant. As soon as my Kadabra learned confusion, I could take out half the enemies in the first half of the game in one shot. But I can't evolve it into an Alakazam so it'll never reach it's full potential. As for Black and White, I haven't got it so I can't really comment. I may play it eventually, you know, if I can find my DS.
Wait phatboy like Raichu /me is excited. I was happy with gen 4. It introduced Leafeon. I would do anything to own one IRL. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
A pokemon scene, in which Jessie and James fight to save their Pokemon, whilst the pokemon are forced to flee... Just goes to show- Perhaps Team Rocket ain't so bad... Y'know, apart from the whole kidnapping, selling and experimentations... Anyway, as it's clear you can take on pokemon yourself, you should have swords in pokemon.
That was pretty sad. But Tyranitar just beats everything. Still James was always cool. I never really liked Jessie though.
I like Jessie the most. meowth's just annoying much of the time, nut James is also quite cool. But I really love team rocket as a whole. It's an awesome crime organisation
