So I've had a Fanfiction Idea since.....well, "The Best Night Ever". It would basically be a 'Minor Character's day in the spotlight episode'. The premise being that with Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy (since she took care of them in 'The Stare Master') going away to the Grand Galloping Gala for the night, someone would have to take care of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, plus Twist, as it turns out that her parents are going as well. Big Macintosh decides that since nopony else will be around, that he'll do it. Of course he doesn't have anything against Apple-Bloom, or her friends, but knows how out of hand they can be. Then there's the fact that he has to take care of Granny Smith, due to her bad hip (That Applejack is trying to raise funds to fix with the money gained). All of this combined with the fact that he wanted to get some more farm-work done that day, well.......clearly this is going to be the Worst Night Ever. The idea was shelved for a while, as at one point, the CMC's antics were going to be interrupted by something that would cause part of the roof to cave in, and in turn, Granny's hip to act up, causing them to seek out Zecora to alleviate the pain, but I couldn't think of a reason for WHY this would happen. Initially, I wanted it to be Derpy, which would also cause them to help her find letters around town, (In a Parakarry from Paper Mario fashion.) but didn't want to use non-cannon characters. I then thought of Luna, but I couldn't find a legit reason for WHY, she of all ponies would crash into somepony's house. With Derpy now as a cannon character though, I thought about doing this again. So that's the basic idea. Any ideas on how I can improve it, or a possibly better title?
