Both movies are part of Sony's newest attempts to make Spider-Man movies without Marvel Studios. Since they are purely Sony productions, neither are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And they are both released at the tail end of this year ("Venom" in October, "Into the Spider-Verse" in December"). Here are the trailers for both movies: So, what do you think of these movies?
Into the Spider-vese looks interesting. I wonder what Gwen's even doing there. Old Peter did pop into the Ultimate Universe after young Peter died, so I get him interacting with Miles, but I don't get Gwen's role.
Both of Spider-Man's creators (Stan Lee and Steve Ditko) died this year... ...I hope "Into the Spider-Verse" is dedicated to their memory.
It was. It was definitely worth seeing in theaters. I did I pretty good job, wish we had a bit more time with each of the different Spider Poeple, but I was more Mile's movie so I get why we didn't. Still an awesome movie. Not as good as Wreck it Ralph 2, that I kinda want to see in theaters a second time.
