It's very ungirly of me but I'm a HUGE fan of WWE.

WWE was always weird to me. I haven't really gotten back into it since Eddie Guerrero died WAY back in 2005. I lost all my interest when that happened. I do remember it being absolutely hilarious. Let me see, I remember a guy called the Undertaker, a dude who acted like a king, some Mexican masked guy (Mysterio?), oh and some creepy voodoo boogeyman guy that ate worms. Of course, I'm only remembering what I can from 6 years ago. Eddie will always be my favorite.

Can't imagine ponies as wrestlers. If they were, Fluttershy would win all the titles because she's Fluttershy *snuggles imaginary Fluttershy plush*

^Nah, Rainbow Dash all the way!... 'cross the sky!

    SO INTENSE/AWESOME

    :omg:

Anyways...I used to watch WWE/Wrestling until I assumed it was all staged/fake.

Anyways I remember back then, Big Show/Carlito/Eddie Guerrero/Rey Mysterio/Boogieman(?)/Rainbow Dash (The undefeated pony in Equestria history.)

WWE fan here! I'm not a long time fan, i've only been watching it for a few years. For some reason it never appealed to me as a kid.

    My current favourite wrestlers are:

    CM Punk
    Christian
Cody Rhodes- I can see him being related to Rarity because he goes on about appearences
    Daniel Bryan
Wade Barret (It's a shame he's lost his momenum though)

Honorable mention: Sin Cara- I could easily picture him as a pony, might be because his ring attire.

But my favourite of all time is probably Chris Jericho.

Big wrestling fan in general, though I'm a little burnt out by WWE's horrible booking in the past 2 years, and as a result, lost interest in TNA, and RoH is hard to catch when its on. Though, seeing Mark Henry finally break out and become one of the best acts in wrestling today was a pleasant surprise.

I do want to create the MLP:FiM cast in WWE '12, but so far Matty has forbidden me from adding any Ponies to any combat game. I did add them to her Guitar Hero: WoR game though.

...and this is why I stop watching wrestling all together...

This is the quite possibly the best thing I've seen all year. You might have single-handedly rekindled my love with modern pro-wrestling.

Different-strokes for different folks, I guess.

    Ahh the memories.

My biggest pet peeve is people who dismiss it with the word "fake", when wrestling hasn't presented itself as a "shoot" for nearly 30 years now. My Little Ponies are fake too, but does that make them less enjoyable? If I wanted the real stuff, I'd watch MMA.

That's what I did for three years in high school, not pretend to hit each other and show off my crummy acting. XD

I love(d) WWE. At least the time when JBL was around, and there was joking in every episode.

Now, i'd consider CM Punk as my fave wrestler.

Okay, now you're just trolling. Yes, there's a huge difference between amateur and pro-wrestling. This topic is clearly about the latter. Not to mention the likes of Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, Brock Lesnar, Charlie & Russ Haas, Bobby Lashley, Jack Swagger, and many others who were well respected amateurs before doing the "fake" stuff.

Not to mention, it may be "fake" but as the disclaimers state, the injuries are real. You cannot say that pro-wrestlers aren't athletes. Hell, that video with the fake Egyptians hypnotizing their opponents to dance and do a striptease? One of them, Amasis to be exact, had to retire not too long ago due to mounting injuries.

Edit: Also, just to add, I have no problems with somebody hating wrestling for good reasons. I hate current pro-wrestling quite a bit, because the writing in most of the mainstream promotions aside from Ring of Honor is horrible on average. Hating it because its "fake" isn't a good reason, then you should hate all media that by that logic.

If you don't like wrestling and don't care to talk about it then I must ask: why did you post in this thread?

I don't know if comparing wrestling to Ponies is really a legit comparison, to be honest; it's like comparing apples to oranges.

There's a huge difference between the amatuer and professional fields of wrestling.

I've never been a huge wrestling fan and to this day I follow it somewhat mostly because AlexPuma loves it so much. However, I know enough to say that what AlexPuma is saying is perfectly legit.

Also: our community is above trolling. I know that Snowy Shuffles made a low-content post and I addressed that issue above with my first quote in this post.

New topic: let's discuss our favorite wrestlers in WWE present and past. I love Roddy Piper. He's one of the few wrestlers I know in the history of the venue that became a very honest, fair character once he exited his "heel" phase.

    PM's I've recieved:
Oh guys, I'm sorry you took such offense, I didn't mean to erupt any negative feelings on this thread, it's not the brony way as we all know.

I should've made it clearer that I don't mind the WWE or similar wrestling organizations at all, I just feel that it may shadow the actual sport of wrestling a tad too much at times, it really is a vigorous sport and we put a lot of effort into our training as some of you may know.

I simply posted about the sport of wrestling as a means of discussion, not a means of negativity as some of you may have perceived it to be, and for that I apologize and am offering free hugs to make up for you sadness. :]

    *Snowy offers free hugs*

    Bad snowy, no trolling.

JK ROFLskate dudebro. Can I have free hug?

As far as wrestling vs the real sport. I prefer the 'fake' one. More entertaining.

I haven't watched in years. I remember watching when I was in college, we'd all get together and watch it, the "Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWE". It was the attitude era on WWE. Every now and then I'll be flipping channels and see it on - I think the thing it's missing now is the mic skills and personality then had back then. The stars they have now just don't handle the acting part of it as well as they do the actual wrestling part. Didn't they bring back The Rock? I thought I saw something with him on it... Being good on the mic and the promos is much more important than the "technical" stuff in the ring. Noone cares how good that move you just did was if your character's persona sucks.

I did see a clip of Cena whining though. That was good (but not original).

/Oh, you didn't know? Your a** better call somebody!
    /WHAT?
