I'd watch that. And Kill la Kill is on my list of must see. Soon.

Right now, I'm watching Butlers vs. Ladies, and Sakura Stick.

Which probably makes me sound a bit perverted, but what can I say to that without lieing?

Eh, I've probably watched worse so no judgement here lol.

Oh yeah, did anyone here like Angel Beats?

...that was rhetorical btw, of course you guys liked Angel Beats. :p Anywho...I'm watching this new show that was made by the same people who made Angel Beats, called Hanosaku Iroha. Pretty sure that's how you spell it.... anyway it's a slice, so it isn't nearly as epic, but the writing is QUALITY. It's probably the most realistic and believable slice I've ever seen, and while it isn't the best or funniest or most feels-heavy thing in the world, it's a very solid and enjoyable show. Definitely recommend if you're into slices but are fed up with the fact that they're all the same damn thing. Cuz this one is certainly different, in a good way.

Sounds interesting - I always like Slices. I'll have to add that to my Large List of Anime to Watch. I've finished Ladies x Butlers, which I kind of liked. I think a school for maids and butlers would be kind of - weird, really, but it amuses me to think there's such a large demand for them that Japan has its own school. Any ways, I've moved on to Saki, which is interesting as I know nothing about Mah-jong. Might actually learn a little something from this one.

I haven't watched many anime shows, but I've recently become a fan of Black Lagoon, which is awesome and now one of my favorite shows. The English dub cast featuring quite a few MLP cast members might have a lot to do with that.

I also really like Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, and the first season of Poke'mon. (though to be fair, I mostly like early Poke'mon mainly because of nostalgia)

Sort of unrelated to the thread, but I've just read the newest chapter of the Naruto manga.

I'm curious when you say Fullmetal Alchemist do you mean the 2003 show or Brotherhood or both?

Alright, well it seems that a lot of people in here don't really share my tastes in anime lol, but that's cool. Even still, I'll post some of the good one's I've watched recently for anyone that wants to get away from the...mainstream.

(I really hate using that word but...oh well.)

Shin Sekai Yori: An anime that is much darker than the cover art would suggest. Very few humans are left in the world, and the ones that are live in a city/village/area and are told to never go beyond their borders, cuz there's bad stuff out there. (Sorta like that crappy M. Night Shamalan film) However these humans can use telekinesis, and they attend a school. The plot is set around a group of students that go to said school. All seems gravy until some of the students begin vanishing...

I haven't gotten very far into Shin Sekai Yori yet, maybe the first two/three episodes, but it had me hooked from the word "go." Very intriguing and suspenseful.

    Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
: A pretty big hit for 2014, the story is set around Ledo who is a mech pilot in the service of the Alliance, the last bastion of humanity that survives by living in very controlled colonies in outer space, in a constant war with the Hideauze species. But, he gets sucked into a wormhole and ends up on Earth, and much to his surprise, finds that some life still exists on the forsaken planet.

Part fish out of water comedy, part boy meets girl romance, part his-mech-is-totally-badass-and-destroys-a-bunch-of-****. If you liked Eureka 7 then you'll probably like this.

I've also seen GJ Club, Strawberry Panic and Love, Chuunibyou and Other Delusions; but I can't recommend any of those. I'm also still watching Kill la Kill and Monogatari, two of the best shows I've ever seen, so if you haven't seen them yet I suggest giving them a look.

My brother keeps suggesting that I *have* to watch Strike the Blood, but I've become wary of his recommendations...although this one is one of the most popular on Crunchyroll right now, so I may have to check it out.

And if you don't know where to find all the latest and greatest anime, I suggest http://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime. They're a legit site, everything they get comes straight from the production studios. Unfortunately they don't have everything so that's where google comes in handy. But, they have a surprising amount of stuff, even all the mainstream stuff like Naruto and Bleach.

I recently stumbled upon a new show called Gangsta.
It kinda reminds me of Black Lagoon, with a little Cowboy Bebop mixed in.

It's awesome and you should stop reading this and go watch it right now.
Seriously. Go watch. I'll wait here.

    ...

    ...

    You're back.
    Wasn't that awesome?
